15E Dio mandò un angelo a Gerusalemme per distruggerla; e come questi si disponeva a distruggerla, l’Eterno gettò su di lei lo sguardo, si pentì della calamità che avea inflitta, e disse all’angelo distruttore: “Basta; ritieni ora la tua mano!” Or l’angelo dell’Eterno si trovava presso l’aia di Ornan, il Gebuseo.

15And God sent an angel unto Jerusalem to destroy it: and as he was destroying, the LORD beheld, and he repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed, It is enough, stay now thine hand. And the angel of the LORD stood by the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.

15God sent an angel to Jerusalem to destroy it. As he was about to destroy, the LORD saw, and he relented of the disaster, and said to the destroying angel, “It is enough. Now withdraw your hand.” the LORD’s angel was standing by the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.
