1Weissagung, des Herren Wort über Hadrachland und seine Residenz Damaskus. Das Eigentum des Herrn wird Arams Auge, wie alle Stämme Israels.
2Auch Hamat, das angrenzt, mitsamt dem einen Sidon, weil es mit ihm verbündet ist.
3Und baute Tyrus sich auch eine Feste und häufte Silber auf wie Staub und Gold wie Gassenkot,
4so nimmt der Herr es dennoch ein und wirft sein Bollwerk in das Meer. Es selber wird vom Feuer aufgezehrt.
5Dann sieht dies Askalon und fürchtet sich, und Gaza bebt im Innersten, auch Akkaron; denn seine Hoffnung ward zuschanden. Fort muß der Rat aus Gaza, und Askalon bleibt unbewohnt.
6In Asdod siedeln Mischlinge. "Ich rotte aus den Adel aus Philisterland.
7Ich reiße ihm aus seinem Maul sein blutig Fleisch, aus seinen Zähnen seinen Greuelfraß." Wer dann noch übrigbleibt, wird unserm Gott gehören. Er wird geachtet wie ein Fürst aus Juda; der Mann aus Akkaron ist wie ein Jebusiter.
8"Ich laß bei meinem Hause einen Posten lagern, daß niemand kommt und geht; kein Zwingherr darf es weiter überfallen. Ich habe jetzt sein Elend angesehen."
9Du Sionstochter, juble laut!Frohlocke, Tochter du Jerusalem!Dein König kommt zu dir,gerecht und sieghaft,sanftmütig und auf einem Esel reitend,dem Füllen einer Eselin.
10"Kriegswagen lasse ich aus Ephraim verschwinden, Streitrosse aus Jerusalem; Kriegsbogen werden fortgeschafft." Denn Frieden wird den Heiden er gebieten; von einem Meer zum andern wird er herrschen, vom Strom bis zu der Erde Enden.
11"Ja, wegen deines Bundesbluts befreie ich auch die Gefangnen aus der wasserleeren Grube.
12Zurück zur festen Burg, die ihr in Fesseln Hoffnung hegtet! Ich kündige es heute an: Ich will dir Doppeltes ersetzen;
13denn als gespannten Bogen brauche ich jetzt Juda, als gefüllten Köcher Ephraim. Aufbieten will ich, Sion, deine Söhne zu dem Kampfe mit den Griechensöhnen, und will mich deiner jetzt bedienen als eines Kriegerschwertes."
14Der Herr kommt über sie, und gleich dem Blitze fährt sein Pfeil dahin. Der Herr, der Herr, stößt in das Lärmhorn jetzt und schreitet in des Südlands Stürmen her.
15Der Herr der Heerscharen wird sie mit Schmach bedecken, Schleudersteine werden sie aufreiben und damiederwerfen. Daliegen sie gleichwie vom Wein betrunken und seufzen auf das schrecklichste. Sie stöhnen auf vor Wut.
16An jenem Tag leistet ihnen Hilfe nur der Herr, ihr Gott, wie einer Herde seinem Volk. In seinem Lande wachsen fromme Kinder.
17Wie groß ist seine Huld und Güte! Getreide läßt er scheffelweise wachsen, eimerweise Wein.

1CARGA de la palabra de Jehová contra tierra de Hadrach, y de Damasco su reposo: porque á Jehová están vueltos los ojos de los hombres, y de todas las tribus de Israel.
2Y también Hamath tendrá término en ella; Tiro y Sidón, aunque muy sabia sea.
3Bien que Tiro se edificó fortaleza, y amontonó plata como polvo, y oro como lodo de las calles,
4He aquí, el Señor la empobrecerá, y herirá en la mar su fortaleza, y ella será consumida de fuego.
5Ascalón verá, y temerá; Gaza también, y se dolerá en gran manera: asimismo Ecrón, porque su esperanza será confundida; y de Gaza perecerá el rey, y Ascalón no será habitada.
6Y habitará en Asdod un extranjero, y yo talaré la soberbia de los Palestinos;
7Y quitaré sus sangres de su boca, y sus abominaciones de sus dientes, y quedarán ellos también para nuestro Dios, y serán como capitanes en Judá, y Ecrón como el Jebuseo.
8Y seré real de ejército á mi casa, á causa del que va y del que viene: y no pasará más sobre ellos angustiador; porque ahora miré con mis ojos.
9Alégrate mucho, hija de Sión; da voces de júbilo, hija de Jerusalem: he aquí, tu rey vendrá á ti, justo y salvador, humilde, y cabalgando sobre un asno, así sobre un pollino hijo de asna.
10Y de Ephraim destruiré los carros, y los caballos de Jerusalem; y los arcos de guerra serán quebrados: y hablará paz á las gentes; y su señorío será de mar á mar, y desde el río hasta los fines de la tierra.
11Y tú también por la sangre de tu pacto serás salva; yo he sacado tus presos del aljibe en que no hay agua.
12Tornaos á la fortaleza, oh presos de esperanza: hoy también os anuncio que os daré doblado.
13Porque entesado he para mí á Judá como arco, henchí á Ephraim; y despertaré tus hijos, oh Sión, contra tus hijos, oh Grecia, y te pondré como espada de valiente.
14Y Jehová será visto sobre ellos, y su dardo saldrá como relámpago: y el Señor Jehová tocará trompeta, é irá como torbellinos del austro.
15Jehová de los ejércitos los amparará, y ellos devorarán, y sujetarán á las piedras de la honda, y beberán, y harán estrépito como tomados del vino; y se llenarán como cuenco, ó como los lados del altar.
16Y los salvará en aquel día Jehová su Dios como á rebaño de su pueblo: porque serán engrandecidos en su tierra como piedras de corona.
17Porque ¡cuánta es su bondad, y cuánta su hermosura! El trigo alegrará á los mancebos, y el vino á las doncellas.

1The burden of the word of the LORD in the land of Hadrach, and Damascus shall be the rest thereof: when the eyes of man, as of all the tribes of Israel, shall be toward the LORD.
2And Hamath also shall border thereby; Tyrus, and Zidon, though it be very wise.
3And Tyrus did build herself a strong hold, and heaped up silver as the dust, and fine gold as the mire of the streets.
4Behold, the Lord will cast her out, and he will smite her power in the sea; and she shall be devoured with fire.
5Ashkelon shall see it, and fear; Gaza also shall see it, and be very sorrowful, and Ekron; for her expectation shall be ashamed; and the king shall perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited.
6And a bastard shall dwell in Ashdod, and I will cut off the pride of the Philistines.
7And I will take away his blood out of his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth: but he that remaineth, even he, shall be for our God, and he shall be as a governor in Judah, and Ekron as a Jebusite.
8And I will encamp about mine house because of the army, because of him that passeth by, and because of him that returneth: and no oppressor shall pass through them any more: for now have I seen with mine eyes.
9Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.
10And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off: and he shall speak peace unto the heathen: and his dominion shall be from sea even to sea, and from the river even to the ends of the earth.
11As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water.
12Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even to day do I declare that I will render double unto thee;
13When I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and made thee as the sword of a mighty man.
14And the LORD shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the Lord GOD shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south.
15The LORD of hosts shall defend them; and they shall devour, and subdue with sling stones; and they shall drink, and make a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls, and as the corners of the altar.
16And the LORD their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon his land.
17For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! corn shall make the young men cheerful, and new wine the maids.

1A revelation. The LORD’s word is against the land of Hadrach, and will rest upon Damascus— for the eye of man and of all the tribes of Israel is toward the LORD—
2and Hamath, also, which borders on it, Tyre and Sidon, because they are very wise.
3Tyre built herself a stronghold, and heaped up silver like the dust, and fine gold like the mire of the streets.
4Behold, the Lord will dispossess her, and he will strike her power in the sea; and she will be devoured with fire.
5Ashkelon will see it, and fear; Gaza also, and will writhe in agony; as will Ekron, for her expectation will be disappointed; and the king will perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon will not be inhabited.
6Foreigners will dwell in Ashdod, and I will cut off the pride of the Philistines.
7I will take away his blood out of his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth; and he also will be a remnant for our God; and he will be as a chieftain in Judah, and Ekron as a Jebusite.
8I will encamp around my house against the army, that no one pass through or return; and no oppressor will pass through them any more: for now I have seen with my eyes.
9Rejoice greatly, daughter of Zion! Shout, daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King comes to you! He is righteous, and having salvation; lowly, and riding on a donkey, even on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
10I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim and the horse from Jerusalem. The battle bow will be cut off; and he will speak peace to the nations. His dominion will be from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth.
11As for you also, because of the blood of your covenant, I have set free your prisoners from the pit in which is no water.
12Turn to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope! Even today I declare that I will restore double to you.
13For indeed I bend Judah as a bow for me. I have loaded the bow with Ephraim. I will stir up your sons, Zion, against your sons, Greece, and will make you like the sword of a mighty man.
14The LORD will be seen over them. His arrow will flash like lightning. The Lord GOD will blow the trumpet, and will go with whirlwinds of the south.
15The LORD of Armies will defend them. They will destroy and overcome with sling stones. They will drink, and roar as through wine. They will be filled like bowls, like the corners of the altar.
16The LORD their God will save them in that day as the flock of his people; for they are like the jewels of a crown, lifted on high over his land.
17For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! Grain will make the young men flourish, and new wine the virgins.
