1Als ich dann wieder aufblickte und hinschaute, sah ich, wie eine Schriftrolle geflogen kam,
2und auf seine Frage: »Was siehst du?« antwortete ich: »Ich sehe eine Schriftrolle fliegen, zwanzig Ellen lang und zehn Ellen breit.«
3Da sagte er zu mir: »Das ist der Fluch, der über das ganze weite Land ergeht; denn jeder Dieb wird nach der Bestimmung, die auf der einen Seite der Rolle geschrieben steht, weggefegt werden, und jeder Meineidige wird nach der Bestimmung, die auf der andern Seite der Rolle geschrieben steht, weggefegt werden.
4›Ich habe den Fluch deshalb ausgehen lassen‹ – so lautet der Ausspruch des HERRN der Heerscharen –, ›damit er in das Haus des Diebes und in das Haus dessen, der bei meinem Namen falsch geschworen hat, eindringt und im Innern seines Hauses sich festsetzt, bis er es mitsamt seinem Holzwerk und seinen Steinen vernichtet hat.‹«
5Hierauf trat der Engel, der mit mir redete, wieder hervor und sagte zu mir: »Blicke doch in die Höhe und sieh, was das ist, das dort zum Vorschein kommt!«
6Als ich nun fragte: »Was ist das?«, antwortete er: »Das ist das große Getreidemaß, das zum Vorschein kommt«; dann fuhr er fort: »Dies ist ihre Verschuldung im ganzen Lande!«
7Da hob sich auf einmal ein schwerer Bleideckel (von dem Getreidemaß) empor, und ein einzelnes Weib saß dort im Innern des Getreidemaßes.
8Da sagte er: »Das ist die Gottlosigkeit!« Dann stieß er das Weib wieder in das Getreidemaß zurück und warf die Bleiplatte wieder auf ihre Öffnung.
9Als ich dann wieder aufblickte und hinschaute, sah ich zwei Weiber zum Vorschein kommen, in deren Flügeln sich Wind befand; sie hatten nämlich Flügel wie Storchenflügel; die hoben das Getreidemaß empor (und trugen es) zwischen Erde und Himmel (davon).
10Als ich nun den Engel, der mit mir redete, fragte: »Wohin bringen diese das Getreidemaß?«,
11antwortete er mir: »Es soll ihr ein Haus im Lande Babylonien gebaut werden, und, wenn dieses fertig ist, soll es dort auf dem ihr gebührenden Platz niedergesetzt werden.«

1Y TORNÉME, y alcé mis ojos, y miré, y he aquí un rollo que volaba.
2Y díjome: ¿Qué ves? Y respondí: Veo un rollo que vuela, de veinte codos de largo, y diez codos de ancho.
3Díjome entonces: Esta es la maldición que sale sobre la haz de toda la tierra; porque todo aquel que hurta, (como está de la una parte del rollo) será destruído; y todo aquel que jura, (como está de la otra parte del rollo) será destruído.
4Yo la saqué, dice Jehová de los ejércitos, y vendrá á la casa del ladrón, y á la casa del que jura falsamente en mi nombre; y permanecerá en medio de su casa, y consumirála, con sus enmaderamientos y sus piedras.
5Y salió aquel ángel que hablaba conmigo, y díjome: Alza ahora tus ojos, y mira qué es esto que sale.
6Y dije: ¿Qué es? Y él dijo: Este es un epha que sale. Además dijo: Este es el ojo de ellos en toda la tierra.
7Y he aquí, traían un talento de plomo, y una mujer estaba asentada en medio de aquel epha.
8Y él dijo: Esta es la Maldad; y echóla dentro del epha, y echó la masa de plomo en su boca.
9Alcé luego mis ojos, y miré, y he aquí dos mujeres que salían, y traían viento en sus alas, y tenían alas como de cigüeña, y alzaron el epha entre la tierra y los cielos.
10Y dije al ángel que hablaba conmigo: ¿A dónde llevan el epha?
11Y él me respondió: Para que le sea edificada casa en tierra de Shinar: y será asentado y puesto allá sobre su asiento.

1Then I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a flying roll.
2And he said unto me, What seest thou? And I answered, I see a flying roll; the length thereof is twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof ten cubits.
3Then said he unto me, This is the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off as on this side according to it; and every one that sweareth shall be cut off as on that side according to it.
4I will bring it forth, saith the LORD of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by my name: and it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof.
5Then the angel that talked with me went forth, and said unto me, Lift up now thine eyes, and see what is this that goeth forth.
6And I said, What is it? And he said, This is an ephah that goeth forth. He said moreover, This is their resemblance through all the earth.
7And, behold, there was lifted up a talent of lead: and this is a woman that sitteth in the midst of the ephah.
8And he said, This is wickedness. And he cast it into the midst of the ephah; and he cast the weight of lead upon the mouth thereof.
9Then lifted I up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came out two women, and the wind was in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork: and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heaven.
10Then said I to the angel that talked with me, Whither do these bear the ephah?
11And he said unto me, To build it an house in the land of Shinar: and it shall be established, and set there upon her own base.

1Then again I lifted up my eyes and saw, and behold, a flying scroll.
2He said to me, “What do you see?” I answered, “I see a flying scroll; its length is twenty cubits, and its width ten cubits.”
3Then he said to me, “This is the curse that goes out over the surface of the whole land, for everyone who steals shall be cut off according to it on the one side; and everyone who swears falsely shall be cut off according to it on the other side.
4I will cause it to go out,” says the LORD of Armies, “and it will enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him who swears falsely by my name; and it will remain in the middle of his house, and will destroy it with its timber and its stones.”
5Then the angel who talked with me came forward and said to me, “Lift up now your eyes and see what this is that is appearing.”
6I said, “What is it?” He said, “This is the ephah basket that is appearing.” He said moreover, “This is their appearance in all the land—
7and behold, a lead cover weighing one talent was lifted up—and there was a woman sitting in the middle of the ephah basket.”
8He said, “This is Wickedness;” and he threw her down into the middle of the ephah basket; and he threw the lead weight on its mouth.
9Then I lifted up my eyes and saw, and behold, there were two women; and the wind was in their wings. Now they had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the ephah basket between earth and the sky.
10Then I said to the angel who talked with me, “Where are these carrying the ephah basket?”
11He said to me, “To build her a house in the land of Shinar. When it is prepared, she will be set there in her own place.”
