1Hierauf ließ er mich den Hohenpriester Josua schauen, wie er vor dem Engel des HERRN stand, während der Satan sich zu seiner Rechten stellte, um ihn anzuklagen.
2Da sagte der Engel des HERRN zum Satan: »Der HERR wolle dich schelten, Satan! Ja, der HERR, der sich Jerusalem erwählt hat, möge dir Schweigen gebieten! Ist dieser (Mann) nicht ein aus dem Feuer herausgerissenes Brandscheit?«
3Josua war aber mit unsauberen Gewändern bekleidet, während er vor dem Engel stand.
4Der nahm nun das Wort und gab den vor ihm stehenden (Dienern) die Weisung: »Ziehet ihm die schmutzigen Kleider aus!« Zu ihm aber sagte er: »Siehe, ich habe deine Verschuldung von dir weggenommen und lasse dir Prachtgewänder anlegen!«
5Hierauf befahl er: »Man setze ihm auch einen reinen Kopfbund aufs Haupt!« Da setzten sie ihm den reinen Kopfbund aufs Haupt und legten ihm die Prachtgewänder an, während der Engel des HERRN neben ihm stand.
6Hierauf gab der Engel des HERRN vor Josua folgende feierliche Erklärung ab:
7»So spricht der HERR der Heerscharen: ›Wenn du auf meinen Wegen wandelst und meinen Dienst gewissenhaft versiehst, sollst du sowohl mein Haus verwalten als auch über meine Vorhöfe die Aufsicht führen, und ich will dir freien Zutritt zu mir gewähren unter diesen, die hier (als Diener vor mir) stehen.
8Vernimm es doch, Josua, du Hoherpriester! Du und deine Amtsbrüder, die vor dir ihre Sitze haben (im Priesterrat), ihr seid Männer, die ein Vorzeichen bedeuten; denn wisse wohl: Ich will meinen Knecht, ›Sproß‹ genannt, kommen lassen.
9Denn siehe, der Stein, den ich vor Josua hingestellt habe – auf diesen einen Stein sind sieben Augen gerichtet –: auf diesen Stein will ich selbst nunmehr seine Inschrift eingraben‹ – so lautet der Ausspruch des HERRN der Heerscharen – ›und will die Verschuldung dieses Landes an einem Tage hinwegschaffen.
10An jenem Tage‹ – so lautet der Ausspruch des HERRN der Heerscharen – ›werdet ihr einer den andern zu Gaste laden unter seinen Weinstock und unter seinen Feigenbaum.‹«

1Y MOSTRÓME á Josué, el gran sacerdote, el cual estaba delante del ángel de Jehová; y Satán estaba á su mano derecha para serle adversario.
2Y dijo Jehová á Satán: Jehová te reprenda, oh Satán; Jehová, que ha escogido á Jerusalem, te reprenda. ¿No es éste tizón arrebatado del incendio?
3Y Josué estaba vestido de vestimentas viles, y estaba delante del ángel.
4Y habló el ángel, é intimó á los que estaban delante de sí, diciendo: Quitadle esas vestimentas viles. Y á él dijo: Mira que he hecho pasar tu pecado de ti, y te he hecho vestir de ropas de gala.
5Después dijo: Pongan mitra limpia sobre su cabeza. Y pusieron una mitra limpia sobre su cabeza, y vistiéronle de ropas. Y el ángel de Jehová estaba en pie.
6Y el ángel de Jehová protestó al mismo Josué, diciendo:
7Así dice Jehová de los ejércitos: Si anduvieres por mis caminos, y si guardares mi ordenanza, también tú gobernarás mi casa, también tú guardarás mis atrios, y entre estos que aquí están te daré plaza.
8Escucha pues ahora, Josué gran sacerdote, tú, y tus amigos que se sientan delante de ti; porque son varones simbólicos: He aquí, yo traigo á mi siervo, el Pimpollo.
9Porque he aquí aquella piedra que puse delante de Josué; sobre esta única piedra hay siete ojos: he aquí, yo grabaré su escultura, dice Jehová de los ejércitos, y quitaré el pecado de la tierra en un día.
10En aquel día, dice Jehová de los ejércitos, cada uno de vosotros llamará á su compañero debajo de la vid, y debajo de la higuera.

1And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.
2And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?
3Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.
4And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.
5And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the LORD stood by.
6And the angel of the LORD protested unto Joshua, saying,
7Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by.
8Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.
9For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.
10In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, shall ye call every man his neighbour under the vine and under the fig tree.

1He showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the LORD’s angel, and Satan standing at his right hand to be his adversary.
2The LORD said to Satan, “The LORD rebuke you, Satan! Yes, the LORD who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Isn’t this a burning stick plucked out of the fire?”
3Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and was standing before the angel.
4He answered and spoke to those who stood before him, saying, “Take the filthy garments off him.” To him he said, “Behold, I have caused your iniquity to pass from you, and I will clothe you with rich clothing.”
5I said, “Let them set a clean turban on his head.” So they set a clean turban on his head, and clothed him; and the LORD’s angel was standing by.
6The LORD’s angel solemnly assured Joshua, saying,
7“The LORD of Armies says: ‘If you will walk in my ways, and if you will follow my instructions, then you also shall judge my house, and shall also keep my courts, and I will give you a place of access among these who stand by.
8Hear now, Joshua the high priest, you and your fellows who sit before you, for they are men who are a sign; for, behold, I will bring out my servant, the Branch.
9For, behold, the stone that I have set before Joshua: on one stone are seven eyes; behold, I will engrave its inscription,’ says the LORD of Armies, ‘and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.
10In that day,’ says the LORD of Armies, ‘you will invite every man his neighbor under the vine and under the fig tree.’”
