6Aber meine Worte und meine Beschlüsse, die ich meinen Knechten, den Propheten, aufgetragen hatte, nicht wahr? - die haben eure Väter doch so getroffen, daß sie anderes Sinnes wurden und sich sagen mußten: Gleichwie Jahwe der Heerscharen sich vorgenommen hatte, je nach unseren Wegen und nach unseren Thaten mit uns zu verfahren, so ist er mit uns verfahren!

6Empero mis palabras y mis ordenanzas que mandé á mis siervos los profetas, ¿no alcanzaron á vuestros padres? Por eso se volvieron ellos y dijeron: Como Jehová de los ejércitos pensó tratarnos conforme á nuestros caminos, y conforme á nuestras obras, así lo hizo con nosotros.

6But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers? and they returned and said, Like as the LORD of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us.

6But my words and my decrees, which I commanded my servants the prophets, didn’t they overtake your fathers? “Then they repented and said, ‘Just as the LORD of Armies determined to do to us, according to our ways and according to our practices, so he has dealt with us.’”
