Rammenta loro, che siano soggetti ai principi, e alle potestà, che siano ubbidienti, che siano pronti ad ogni buona opera:

AMONÉSTALES que se sujeten á los príncipes y potestades, que obedezcan, que estén prontos á toda buena obra.

Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,

Remind them to be in subjection to rulers and to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work,

Che non dican male di alcuno, che non siano amanti delle liti, ma modesti, e che tutta la mansuetudine dimostrino l'uso di tutti gli uomini.

Que á nadie infamen, que no sean pendencieros, sino modestos, mostrando toda mansedumbre para con todos los hombres.

To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.

Imperocché eravamo una volta anche noi stolti, increduli, erranti, schiavi delle cupidità, e di varj piaceri, viventi nella malizia, e nell'invidia, degni d'odio, e odiando altrui.

Porque también éramos nosotros necios en otro tiempo, rebeldes, extraviados, sirviendo á concupiscencias y deleites diversos, viviendo en malicia y en envidia, aborrecibles, aborreciendo los unos á los otros.

For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.

Ma allorché apparve la benignità, e l'amore del salvatore Dio nostro;

Non per le opere di giustizia fatte da noi, ma per sua misericordia ci fece; salvi mediante la lavanda di rigenerazione, e di rinnovellamento dello Spirito santo,

No por obras de justicia que nosotros habíamos hecho, mas por su misericordia nos salvó, por el lavacro de la regeneración, y de la renovación del Espíritu Santo;

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

not by works of righteousness which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy, he saved us through the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,

cui egli diffuse in noi copiosamente per Gesù Cristo salvator nostro:

El cual derramó en nosotros abundantemente por Jesucristo nuestro Salvador,

Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior;

Affinchè giustificati per la grazia di lui siamo secondo la speranza eredi della vita eterna.

Para que, justificados por su gracia, seamos hechos herederos según la esperanza de la vida eterna.

That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Parola fedele è questa: e queste cose voglio, che siano da te stabilite: affinchè quelli, che credono a Dio, proccurino di star intenti alle buone opere. Questo è quello, che è buono, ed utile per gli uomini.

Palabra fiel, y estas cosas quiero que afirmes, para que los que creen á Dios procuren gobernarse en buenas obras. Estas cosas son buenas y útiles á los hombres.

This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.

Ma le pazze questioni, e le genealogie, e le dispute, e le battaglie legali sfuggile, conciossiachè sono inutili, e vane.

Mas las cuestiones necias, y genealogías, y contenciones, y debates acerca de la ley, evita; porque son sin provecho y vanas.

But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

L'uomo eretico dopo la prima, e la seconda correzione sfuggilo:

Rehusa hombre hereje, después de una y otra amonestación;

A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;

Avoid a factious man after a first and second warning,

Sapendo, che questo tale è pervertito, e pecca, come quegli che per suo proprio giudizio è condannato.

Estando cierto que el tal es trastornado, y peca, siendo condenado de su propio juicio.

Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.

Quando avrò mandato da te Artema, o Tichico, affrettati a venir da me a Nicopoli: imperocché ivi ho determinato di passar il verno.

Cuando enviare á ti á Artemas, ó á Tichîco, procura venir á mí, á Nicópolis: porque allí he determinado invernar.

When I shall send Artemas unto thee, or Tychicus, be diligent to come unto me to Nicopolis: for I have determined there to winter.

Spedisci avanti sollecitamente Zena dottor di legge, e Apollo, (e fa' si) che nulla manchi ad essi.

A Zenas doctor de la ley, y á Apolos, envía delante, procurando que nada les falte.

Bring Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their journey diligently, that nothing be wanting unto them.

Send Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their journey speedily, that nothing may be lacking for them.

E imparino anche i nostri a soprastare per le buone opere alle occorrenze, necessarie: affinchè non siano disutili.

Y aprendan asimismo los nuestros á gobernarse en buenas obras para los usos necesarios, para que no sean sin fruto.

And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.

Let our people also learn to maintain good works to meet necessary needs, that they may not be unfruitful.

Ti salutano tutti quelli, che sono con me: saluta quelli, che ci amano nella fede. La grazia di Dio con tutti voi. Così sia. Rimanda a Filemone (di cui loda la carità, e la fede) Onesimo servo di lui, e gliel raccomanda, e la colpa del medesimo prende sopra se stesso, e mostra desiderio di averlo seco, perchè lo assista nella predicazione del Vangelo.

Todos los que están conmigo te saludan. Saluda á los que nos aman en la fe. La gracia sea con todos vosotros. Amén. A Tito, el cual fué el primer obispo ordenado á la iglesia de los Cretenses, escrita de Nicópolis de Macedonia.
