Mi alzerò, e anderò attorno per la città, per le contrade e per le piazze cercherò di lui, che è l'amore dell'anima mia. Lo cercai, e nol trovai.

Levantaréme ahora, y rodearé por la ciudad; por las calles y por las plazas buscaré al que ama mi alma: busquélo, y no lo hallé.

I will rise now, and go about the city in the streets, and in the broad ways I will seek him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him not.

I will get up now, and go about the city; in the streets and in the squares I will seek him whom my soul loves. I sought him, but I didn’t find him.
