Cantares 3

†SHE Upon my couch, in the night-time, sought I the beloved of my soul,—I sought him, but found him not.

POR las noches busqué en mi lecho al que ama mi alma: busquélo, y no lo hallé.

By night on my bed I sought him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him not.

By night on my bed, I sought him whom my soul loves. I sought him, but I didn’t find him.
