Andò adunque Booz alla porta, e ivi si pose a sedere. E avendo veduto passare quel parente, di cui si è già parlato, gli disse, chiamandolo per suo nome: Vieni un po' qua, e siedi qui. Ed egli si appressò, e si pose a sedere.

Y BOOZ subió á la puerta y sentóse allí: y he aquí pasaba aquel pariente del cual había Booz hablado, y díjole: Eh, fulano, ven acá y siéntate. Y él vino, y sentóse.

Then went Boaz up to the gate, and sat him down there: and, behold, the kinsman of whom Boaz spake came by; unto whom he said, Ho, such a one! turn aside, sit down here. And he turned aside, and sat down.

Now Boaz went up to the gate and sat down there. Behold, the near kinsman of whom Boaz spoke came by. Boaz said to him, “Come over here, friend, and sit down!” He came over, and sat down.

E Booz prese dieci uomini de' più vecchi della città, e disse loro: Sedete qui.

Entonces él tomó diez varones de los ancianos de la ciudad, y dijo: Sentaos aquí. Y ellos se sentaron.

And he took ten men of the elders of the city, and said, Sit ye down here. And they sat down.

Boaz took ten men of the elders of the city, and said, “Sit down here,” and they sat down.

E mentre quelli sedevano, egli disse al parente: Noemi, che è tornata dal paese di Moab, venderà una parte del podere di Elimelech nostro fratello.

Luego dijo al pariente: Noemi, que ha vuelto del campo de Moab, vende una parte de las tierras que tuvo nuestro hermano Elimelech;

And he said unto the kinsman, Naomi, that is come again out of the country of Moab, selleth a parcel of land, which was our brother Elimelech’s:

He said to the near kinsman, “Naomi, who has come back out of the country of Moab, is selling the parcel of land, which was our brother Elimelech’s.

La qual cosa io ho voluto che tu sapessi per dirti dinanzi a tutti questi che seggono e a' seniori del popolo. Se tu vuoi farne acquisto in virtù del diritto di parentela, compralo, e prenditelo: ma se a te ciò non piace, fammelo sapere, affinchè io vegga quel che debbo fare: perocché non havvi altro parente, eccettuato tu, che sei avanti a me, e io, che sono il secondo. E quegli rispose: Comprerò io il campo.

Y yo decidí hacértelo saber, y decirte que la tomes delante de los que están aquí sentados, y delante de los ancianos de mi pueblo. Si hubieres de redimir, redime; y si no quisieres redimir, decláramelo para que yo lo sepa: porque no hay otro que redima sino tú, y yo después de ti. Y él respondió: Yo redimiré.

And I thought to advertise thee, saying, Buy it before the inhabitants, and before the elders of my people. If thou wilt redeem it, redeem it: but if thou wilt not redeem it, then tell me, that I may know: for there is none to redeem it beside thee; and I am after thee. And he said, I will redeem it.

I thought I should tell you, saying, ‘Buy it before those who sit here, and before the elders of my people.’ If you will redeem it, redeem it; but if you will not redeem it, then tell me, that I may know. For there is no one to redeem it besides you; and I am after you.” He said, “I will redeem it.”

Dissegli Booz: Quando avrai comprato il campo da quella donna, tu dei ancora sposare Ruth di Moab, la quale è stata moglie del defunto, per risuscitare il nome del tuo parente nella sua eredità.

Entonces replicó Booz: El mismo día que tomares las tierras de mano de Noemi, has de tomar también á Ruth Moabita, mujer del difunto, para que suscites el nombre del muerto sobre su posesión.

Then said Boaz, What day thou buyest the field of the hand of Naomi, thou must buy it also of Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of the dead, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance.

Then Boaz said, “On the day you buy the field from the hand of Naomi, you must buy it also from Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of the dead, to raise up the name of the dead on his inheritance.”

Rispose quegli: Cedo le ragioni di propinquità: perocché non debbo io estinguere la posterità della mia famiglia: serviti tu del mio privilegio, del quale io dichiaro che volentieri mi privo.

Y respondió el pariente: No puedo redimir por mi parte, porque echaría á perder mi heredad: redime tú usando de mi derecho, porque yo no podré redimir.

And the kinsman said, I cannot redeem it for myself, lest I mar mine own inheritance: redeem thou my right to thyself; for I cannot redeem it.

The near kinsman said, “I can’t redeem it for myself, lest I endanger my own inheritance. Take my right of redemption for yourself; for I can’t redeem it.”

Or era antica in Israele questa usanza tra' parenti, che se alcuna volta l'uno cedeva all'altro il proprio diritto, affinchè fosse valida la rinunzia, quegli si cavava la sua scarpa, e la dava al suo parente; questo era il segno della cessione in Israele.

Había ya de largo tiempo esta costumbre en Israel en la redención ó contrato, que para la confirmación de cualquier negocio, el uno se quitaba el zapato y lo daba á su compañero: y este era el testimonio en Israel.

Now this was the manner in former time in Israel concerning redeeming and concerning changing, for to confirm all things; a man plucked off his shoe, and gave it to his neighbour: and this was a testimony in Israel.

Now this was the custom in former time in Israel concerning redeeming and concerning exchanging, to confirm all things: a man took off his sandal, and gave it to his neighbor; and this was the way of formalizing transactions in Israel.

Disse perciò Booz al suo parente: Cavati la scarpa. E quegli tosto se la cavò dal piede.

Entonces el pariente dijo á Booz: Tómalo tú. Y descalzó su zapato.

Therefore the kinsman said unto Boaz, Buy it for thee. So he drew off his shoe.

So the near kinsman said to Boaz, “Buy it for yourself,” then he took off his sandal.

Ed egli disse a' seniori, e a tutto il popolo: Voi siete oggi testimoni, come io fo acquisto di tutto quello che spettava ad Elimelech, e a Chelion, e a Mahalon dalle mani di Noemi:

Y Booz dijo á los ancianos y á todo el pueblo: Vosotros sois hoy testigos de que tomo todas las cosas que fueron de Elimelech, y todo lo que fué de Chelión y de Mahalón, de mano de Noemi;

And Boaz said unto the elders, and unto all the people, Ye are witnesses this day, that I have bought all that was Elimelech’s, and all that was Chilion’s and Mahlon’s, of the hand of Naomi.

Boaz said to the elders and to all the people, “You are witnesses today, that I have bought all that was Elimelech’s, and all that was Chilion’s and Mahlon’s, from the hand of Naomi.

E prendo per moglie Ruth di Moab moglie di Mahalon, affin di risuscitare il nome del defunto nella sua eredità, affinchè il suo nome non venga meno nella sua famiglia, e tra' fratelli, e nel popolo. Voi, dico, siete di ciò testimoni.

Y que también tomo por mi mujer á Ruth Moabita, mujer de Mahalón, para suscitar el nombre del difunto sobre su heredad, para que el nombre del muerto no se borre de entre sus hermanos y de la puerta de su lugar. Vosotros sois hoy testigos.

Moreover Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of Mahlon, have I purchased to be my wife, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance, that the name of the dead be not cut off from among his brethren, and from the gate of his place: ye are witnesses this day.

Moreover, Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of Mahlon, I have purchased to be my wife, to raise up the name of the dead on his inheritance, that the name of the dead may not be cut off from among his brothers and from the gate of his place. You are witnesses today.”

Risposero tutto il popolo che era alla porta, e i seniori: Siam testimoni; il Signore faccia che questa donna, la quale entra in casa tua, sia come Rachele, e Lia, le quali fondarono la casa d'Israele: ch'ella sia esempio di virtù in Ephrata, ed abbia un nome celebre in Bethlehem;

Y dijeron todos los del pueblo que estaban á la puerta con los ancianos: Testigos somos. Jehová haga á la mujer que entra en tu casa como á Rachêl y á Lea, las cuales dos edificaron la casa de Israel; y tú seas ilustre en Ephrata, y tengas nombradía en Beth-lehem;

And all the people that were in the gate, and the elders, said, We are witnesses. The LORD make the woman that is come into thine house like Rachel and like Leah, which two did build the house of Israel: and do thou worthily in Ephratah, and be famous in Beth-lehem:

All the people who were in the gate, and the elders, said, “We are witnesses. May the LORD make the woman who has come into your house like Rachel and like Leah, which both built the house of Israel; and treat you worthily in Ephrathah, and be famous in Bethlehem.

E sia la tua casa, come la casa di Phares (il quale fu partorito a Giuda da Thamar) in virtù della discendenza che il Signor ti darà da questa giovane.

Y de la simiente que Jehová te diere de aquesta moza, sea tu casa como la casa de Phares, al que parió Thamar á Judá.

And let thy house be like the house of Pharez, whom Tamar bare unto Judah, of the seed which the LORD shall give thee of this young woman.

Let your house be like the house of Perez, whom Tamar bore to Judah, of the offspring which the LORD will give you by this young woman.”

Booz pertanto prese Ruth, e sposolla: e stette con lei, e il Signore le concedette di concepire, e partorire un figliuolo.

Booz pues tomó á Ruth, y ella fué su mujer; y luego que entró á ella, Jehová le dió que concibiese y pariese un hijo.

So Boaz took Ruth, and she was his wife: and when he went in unto her, the LORD gave her conception, and she bare a son.

So Boaz took Ruth and she became his wife; and he went in to her, and the LORD enabled her to conceive, and she bore a son.

E le donne diceano a Noemi: Benedetto il Signore, che non ha permesso che mancasse successore alla tua famiglia, affinchè seguiti a nomarsi il nome di lei in Israele;

Y las mujeres decían á Noemi: Loado sea Jehová, que hizo que no te faltase hoy pariente, cuyo nombre será nombrado en Israel.

And the women said unto Naomi, Blessed be the LORD, which hath not left thee this day without a kinsman, that his name may be famous in Israel.

The women said to Naomi, “Blessed be the LORD, who has not left you today without a near kinsman. Let his name be famous in Israel.

E affinchè tu abbi chi consoli l'anima tua, e sostenti la tua vecchiaia: perocché egli è nato dalla tua nuora, la quale ti ama, ed ella vale più per te che se avessi sette figliuoli.

El cual será restaurador de tu alma, y el que sustentará tu vejez; pues que tu nuera, la cual te ama y te vale más que siete hijos, le ha parido.

And he shall be unto thee a restorer of thy life, and a nourisher of thine old age: for thy daughter in law, which loveth thee, which is better to thee than seven sons, hath born him.

He shall be to you a restorer of life and sustain you in your old age; for your daughter-in-law, who loves you, who is better to you than seven sons, has given birth to him.”

E Noemi prese il bambino, e lo pose nel suo seno, e faceagli da nutrice, e da fantesca.

Y tomando Noemi el hijo, púsolo en su regazo, y fuéle su ama.

And Naomi took the child, and laid it in her bosom, and became nurse unto it.

Naomi took the child, laid him in her bosom, and became nurse to him.

E le vicine si congratulavan con lei, e diceano: È nato un figliuolo a Noemi: e gli poser nome Obed: egli fu padre d'Isai, padre di Davidde.

Y las vecinas diciendo, A Noemi ha nacido un hijo, le pusieron nombre; y llamáronle Obed. Este es padre de Isaí, padre de David.

And the women her neighbours gave it a name, saying, There is a son born to Naomi; and they called his name Obed: he is the father of Jesse, the father of David.

The women, her neighbors, gave him a name, saying, “A son is born to Naomi”. They named him Obed. He is the father of Jesse, the father of David.

Ecco la genealogia di Phares: Phares generò Esron:

Y estas son las generaciones de Phares: Phares engendró á Hesrón;

Now these are the generations of Pharez: Pharez begat Hezron,

Now this is the history of the generations of Perez: Perez became the father of Hezron,

Esron generò Aram: Aram generò Aminadab:

Y Hesrón engendró á Ram, y Ram engendró á Aminadab;

And Hezron begat Ram, and Ram begat Amminadab,

and Hezron became the father of Ram, and Ram became the father of Amminadab,

Aminadab generò Nahasson: Nahasson generò Salmon:

Y Aminadab engendró á Nahasón, y Nahasón engendró á Salmón;

And Amminadab begat Nahshon, and Nahshon begat Salmon,

and Amminadab became the father of Nahshon, and Nahshon became the father of Salmon,

Salmon generò Booz: Booz generò Obed:

Y Salmón engendró á Booz, y Booz engendró á Obed;

And Salmon begat Boaz, and Boaz begat Obed,

and Salmon became the father of Boaz, and Boaz became the father of Obed,

Obed generò Isai: Isai generò David. Di due mogli, che aveva Elama, Anna, e Phenenna, Anna essendo già tempo sterile, e afflitta pe' mali trattamenti dell’emola, fa orazione al Signore in Silo in presenza di Heli, e concepisce Samuele, e slattatolo l’offerisce al Signore, come ne avea fatto voto.

Y Obed engendró á Isaí, é Isaí engendró á David.

And Obed begat Jesse, and Jesse begat David.

and Obed became the father of Jesse, and Jesse became the father of David.
