4I wanted you to hear this, and to tell you in front of everyone sitting here, including the eldest of my people. If you will take possession of it by the right of kinship, buy it and possess it. But if it displeases you, you should reveal this to me, so that I will know what I have to do. For there is no near kinsman besides you, who is before me, and I am after you.” But he answered, “I will buy the field.”

4Y yo decidí hacértelo saber, y decirte que la tomes delante de los que están aquí sentados, y delante de los ancianos de mi pueblo. Si hubieres de redimir, redime; y si no quisieres redimir, decláramelo para que yo lo sepa: porque no hay otro que redima sino tú, y yo después de ti. Y él respondió: Yo redimiré.

4And I thought to advertise thee, saying, Buy it before the inhabitants, and before the elders of my people. If thou wilt redeem it, redeem it: but if thou wilt not redeem it, then tell me, that I may know: for there is none to redeem it beside thee; and I am after thee. And he said, I will redeem it.

4I thought I should tell you, saying, ‘Buy it before those who sit here, and before the elders of my people.’ If you will redeem it, redeem it; but if you will not redeem it, then tell me, that I may know.
