Rut 1

Sucedió en los días cuando los jueces gobernaban que hubo una hambruna en la tierra, y un cierto hombre de Belén de Judá fue al campo de Moab con su esposa y sus dos hijos.

Y ACONTECIÓ en los días que gobernaban los jueces, que hubo hambre en la tierra. Y un varón de Beth-lehem de Judá, fué á peregrinar en los campos de Moab, él y su mujer, y dos hijos suyos.

Now it came to pass in the days when the judges ruled, that there was a famine in the land. And a certain man of Beth-lehem-judah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he, and his wife, and his two sons.

In the days when the judges judged, there was a famine in the land. A certain man of Bethlehem Judah went to live in the country of Moab with his wife and his two sons.

El nombre del hombre era Elimelec, y el nombre de su esposa era Noemí. Los nombres de sus dos hijos eran Mahlón y Quelión, que eran Efrateos de Belén de Judá. Llegaron al campo de Moab y vivieron allí.

El nombre de aquel varón era Elimelech, y el de su mujer Noemi; y los nombres de sus dos hijos eran, Mahalón y Chelión, Ephrateos de Beth-lehem de Judá. Llegaron pues á los campos de Moab, y asentaron allí.

And the name of the man was Elimelech, and the name of his wife Naomi, and the name of his two sons Mahlon and Chilion, Ephrathites of Beth-lehem-judah. And they came into the country of Moab, and continued there.

The name of the man was Elimelech, and the name of his wife Naomi. The names of his two sons were Mahlon and Chilion, Ephrathites of Bethlehem Judah. They came into the country of Moab and lived there.

Entonces Elimelec, el esposo de Noemí, murió, y ella quedó con sus dos hijos.

Y murió Elimelech, marido de Noemi, y quedó ella con sus dos hijos;

And Elimelech Naomi’s husband died; and she was left, and her two sons.

Estos hijos tomaron esposas de las mujeres de Moab; el nombre de una era Orfa, y el nombre de la otra era Rut. Vivieron allí alrededor de diez años.

Los cuales tomaron para sí mujeres de Moab, el nombre de la una Orpha, y el nombre de la otra Ruth; y habitaron allí unos diez años.

And they took them wives of the women of Moab; the name of the one was Orpah, and the name of the other Ruth: and they dwelled there about ten years.

They took for themselves wives of the women of Moab. The name of the one was Orpah, and the name of the other was Ruth. They lived there about ten years.

Entonces, ambos, Mahlón y Quelión murieron, quedando Noemí sin su esposo y sin sus dos hijos.

Y murieron también los dos, Mahalón y Chelión, quedando así la mujer desamparada de sus dos hijos y de su marido.

And Mahlon and Chilion died also both of them; and the woman was left of her two sons and her husband.

Mahlon and Chilion both died, and the woman was bereaved of her two children and of her husband.

Entonces Noemí decidió irse de Moab con sus nueras y regresar a Judá porque había escuchado en la región de Moab que EL SEÑOR había ayudado a su pueblo en necesidad y les había dado alimentos.

Entonces se levantó con sus nueras, y volvióse de los campos de Moab: porque oyó en el campo de Moab que Jehová había visitado á su pueblo para darles pan.

Then she arose with her daughters in law, that she might return from the country of Moab: for she had heard in the country of Moab how that the LORD had visited his people in giving them bread.

Then she arose with her daughters-in-law, that she might return from the country of Moab; for she had heard in the country of Moab how the LORD had visited his people in giving them bread.

Así que dejó el lugar donde había estado con sus dos nueras, y emprendieron el camino de regreso a la tierra de Judá.

Salió pues del lugar donde había estado, y con ella sus dos nueras, y comenzaron á caminar para volverse á la tierra de Judá.

Wherefore she went forth out of the place where she was, and her two daughters in law with her; and they went on the way to return unto the land of Judah.

Noemí le dijo a sus dos nueras, "Vayan, regresen, cada una de ustedes, a la casa de su madre. Que el SEÑOR muestre bondad hacia ustedes, según ustedes le han mostrado bondad hacia los muertos y hacia mí.

Y Noemi dijo á sus dos nueras: Andad, volveos cada una á la casa de su madre: Jehová haga con vosotras misericordia, como la habéis hecho con los muertos y conmigo.

And Naomi said unto her two daughters in law, Go, return each to her mother’s house: the LORD deal kindly with you, as ye have dealt with the dead, and with me.

Naomi said to her two daughters-in-law, “Go, return each of you to her mother’s house. May the LORD deal kindly with you, as you have dealt with the dead and with me.

Que el Señor les conceda que encuentren descanso, cada una de ustedes en la casa de otro esposo. Entonces ella las besó, y ellas alzaron sus voces y lloraron.

Déos Jehová que halléis descanso, cada una en casa de su marido: besólas luego, y ellas lloraron á voz en grito.

The LORD grant you that ye may find rest, each of you in the house of her husband. Then she kissed them; and they lifted up their voice, and wept.

May the LORD grant you that you may find rest, each of you in the house of her husband.” Then she kissed them, and they lifted up their voices, and wept.

Ellas le dijeron: "¡No! Nosotras regresaremos contigo a tu gente."

Y dijéronle: Ciertamente nosotras volveremos contigo á tu pueblo.

And they said unto her, Surely we will return with thee unto thy people.

They said to her, “No, but we will return with you to your people.”

Pero Noemí dijo: "¡Vuélvanse, mis hijas! ¿Por qué habrían de regresar conmigo? ¿Acaso todavía tengo hijos en mi vientre para ustedes, que puedan convertirse en sus esposos?

Y Noemi respondió: Volveos, hijas mías: ¿para qué habéis de ir conmigo? ¿tengo yo más hijos en el vientre, que puedan ser vuestros maridos?

And Naomi said, Turn again, my daughters: why will ye go with me? are there yet any more sons in my womb, that they may be your husbands?

Naomi said, “Go back, my daughters. Why do you want to go with me? Do I still have sons in my womb, that they may be your husbands?

Vuélvanse, mis hijas, vayan por su propio camino, porque soy muy vieja para tener un esposo. Si dijera: 'espero tener un esposo esta noche,' y entonces pariera dos hijos,

Volveos, hijas mías, é idos; que yo ya soy vieja para ser para varón. Y aunque dijese: Esperanza tengo; y esta noche fuese con varón, y aun pariese hijos;

Turn again, my daughters, go your way; for I am too old to have an husband. If I should say, I have hope, if I should have an husband also to night, and should also bear sons;

Go back, my daughters, go your way; for I am too old to have a husband. If I should say, ‘I have hope,’ if I should even have a husband tonight, and should also bear sons,

¿esperarían ustedes a que crecieran? ¿Esperarían y no se casarían con hombres ahora? ¡No, mis hijas! Me aflige mucho; mucho más de lo que les aflige a ustedes, porque la mano del SEÑOR se ha tornado en contra de mí."

¿Habíais vosotras de esperarlos hasta que fuesen grandes? ¿habías vosotras de quedaros sin casar por amor de ellos? No, hijas mías; que mayor amargura tengo yo que vosotras, pues la mano de Jehová ha salido contra mí.

Would ye tarry for them till they were grown? would ye stay for them from having husbands? nay, my daughters; for it grieveth me much for your sakes that the hand of the LORD is gone out against me.

would you then wait until they were grown? Would you then refrain from having husbands? No, my daughters, for it grieves me seriously for your sakes, for the LORD’s hand has gone out against me.”

Entonces sus nueras alzaron sus voces y lloraron nuevamente. Orfa se despidió de su suegra con un beso, pero Rut se aferró a ella.

Mas ellas alzando otra vez su voz, lloraron: y Orpha besó á su suegra, mas Ruth se quedó con ella.

And they lifted up their voice, and wept again: and Orpah kissed her mother in law; but Ruth clave unto her.

They lifted up their voices and wept again; then Orpah kissed her mother-in-law, but Ruth stayed with her.

Noemí dijo: "Escucha, tu cuñada ha regresado a su gente y a sus dioses. Regresa con tu cuñada."

Y Noemi dijo: He aquí tu cuñada se ha vuelto á su pueblo y á sus dioses; vuélvete tú tras ella.

And she said, Behold, thy sister in law is gone back unto her people, and unto her gods: return thou after thy sister in law.

She said, “Behold, your sister-in-law has gone back to her people and to her god. Follow your sister-in-law.”

Pero Rut dijo, "No me hagas alejarme de ti, pues donde tú vayas, yo iré; donde tú te quedes, yo me quedaré; tu pueblo será mi pueblo, y tu Dios será mi Dios.

Y Ruth respondió: No me ruegues que te deje, y me aparte de ti: porque donde quiera que tú fueres, iré yo; y donde quiera que vivieres, viviré. Tu pueblo será mi pueblo, y tu Dios mi Dios.

And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:

Ruth said, “Don’t urge me to leave you, and to return from following you, for where you go, I will go; and where you stay, I will stay. Your people will be my people, and your God my God.

Donde mueras, moriré, y ahí seré sepultada. Que me castigue el SEÑOR, y aún más, si algo más que la muerte nos separe jamás."

Donde tú murieres, moriré yo, y allí seré sepultada: así me haga Jehová, y así me dé, que sólo la muerte hará separación entre mí y ti.

Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the LORD do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me.

Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. May the LORD do so to me, and more also, if anything but death parts you and me.”

Cuando Noemí vio que Rut estaba determinada a ir con ella, dejó de discutir con ella.

Y viendo Noemi que estaba tan resuelta á ir con ella, dejó de hablarle.

When she saw that she was stedfastly minded to go with her, then she left speaking unto her.

When Naomi saw that she was determined to go with her, she stopped urging her.

Así que las dos viajaron hasta que llegaron al pueblo de Belén. Sucedió que cuando llegaron a Belén, el pueblo entero estaba muy emocionado por ellas. Las mujeres dijeron, "¿Es esta Noemí?"

Anduvieron pues ellas dos hasta que llegaron á Beth-lehem: y aconteció que entrando en Beth-lehem, toda la ciudad se conmovió por razón de ellas, y decían: ¿No es ésta Noemi?

So they two went until they came to Beth-lehem. And it came to pass, when they were come to Beth-lehem, that all the city was moved about them, and they said, Is this Naomi?

So they both went until they came to Bethlehem. When they had come to Bethlehem, all the city was excited about them, and they asked, “Is this Naomi?”

Pero ella les dijo, "No me llamen Noemí. Llámenme Amargura, porque el Todopoderoso ha tenido un trato muy amargo conmigo.

Y ella les respondía: No me llaméis Noemi, sino llamadme Mara: porque en grande amargura me ha puesto el Todopoderoso.

And she said unto them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara: for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me.

She said to them, “Don’t call me Naomi. Call me Mara, for the Almighty has dealt very bitterly with me.

Salí llena, pero el SEÑOR me ha regresado de nuevo a casa vacía. Así que, ¿por qué me llaman Noemí, viendo que el SEÑOR me ha condenado; que el Todopoderoso me ha aflijido?"

Yo me fuí llena, mas vacía me ha vuelto Jehová. ¿Por qué me llamaréis Noemi, ya que Jehová ha dado testimonio contra mí, y el Todopoderoso me ha afligido?

I went out full, and the LORD hath brought me home again empty: why then call ye me Naomi, seeing the LORD hath testified against me, and the Almighty hath afflicted me?

I went out full, and the LORD has brought me home again empty. Why do you call me Naomi, since the LORD has testified against me, and the Almighty has afflicted me?”

Así que Noemí y Rut, la Moabita, su nuera, regresaron del campo de Moab. Llegaron a Belén al principio de la cosecha de cebada.

Así volvió Noemi y Ruth Moabita su nuera con ella; volvió de los campos de Moab, y llegaron á Beth-lehem en el principio de la siega de las cebadas.

So Naomi returned, and Ruth the Moabitess, her daughter in law, with her, which returned out of the country of Moab: and they came to Beth-lehem in the beginning of barley harvest.

So Naomi returned, and Ruth the Moabitess, her daughter-in-law, with her, who returned out of the country of Moab. They came to Bethlehem in the beginning of barley harvest.
