11Foi só mais tarde que Abraão foi circuncidado. O rito da circuncisão foi um sinal de que Abraão já tinha fé e que Deus já o tinha aceito, declarando-o justo, antes que o rito fosse praticado. Assim, Abraão é o pai espiritual de todo os que creem e são salvos sem passarem pelo rito da circuncisão. Portanto, aqueles que não guardam essas leis são justificados por Deus por meio da fé.

11Y recibió la circuncisión por señal, por sello de la justicia de la fe que tuvo en la incircuncisión: para que fuese padre de todos los creyentes no circuncidados, para que también á ellos les sea contado por justicia;
