1Deem uma calorosa acolhida a qualquer irmão que deseje unir-se a vocês, mesmo que a sua fé seja fraca. Não o censurem por ele ter ideias diferentes das suas a respeito daquilo que está certo ou errado.
2Por exemplo, não discutam com ele a respeito de comer ou não carne. Pode ser que vocês creiam que não há nenhum mal nisso, porém outros têm a fé mais fraca; pensam que está errado, e não comerão carne alguma; eles preferem comer verduras a comer aquela espécie de carne.
3Aqueles que pensam que está certo comer esse tipo de carne não devem desprezar aqueles que não a comem. E se você faz parte daqueles que não comem, não acuse de erro aqueles que comem. Porque Deus os aceitou.
4Eles são servos de Deus, e não de vocês. Eles são responsáveis perante Deus, e não perante vocês. Deixem que ele lhes diga se eles estão certos ou errados. E Deus mesmo é capaz de levá-los a agir como devem.
5Alguns pensam que se deve observar os feriados judaicos como dias especiais para se adorar a Deus; já outros dizem que é um erro todo esse incômodo, visto que todos os dias pertencem igualmente a Deus. Em questões desse tipo, cada um deve decidir por si mesmo.
6Se vocês têm dias especiais para adorar ao Senhor e estão procurando honrá-lo, fazem uma boa coisa. Assim também a pessoa que come carne; ela come para o Senhor, pois dá graças a Deus. E a pessoa que não toca em tal carne também está desejosa em agradar ao Senhor, e também dá graças a Deus.
7Não mandamos em nós mesmos para vivermos ou morrermos como se nós mesmos pudéssemos escolher.
8Se vivemos, vivemos para o Senhor; se morremos, morremos para o Senhor. Assim, quer vivamos, quer morramos, somos do Senhor.
9Cristo morreu e ressuscitou por esta razão, para que pudesse ser Senhor tanto de vivos como de mortos.
10Vocês não têm nenhum direito de julgar um irmão ou olhar com desprezo para ele. Lembre-se de que cada um de nós comparecerá individualmente perante o tribunal de Deus.
11Porque está escrito: “Juro por mim mesmo”, diz o Senhor, “todo joelho se curvará diante de mim e toda língua confessará que sou Deus”.
12Assim, cada um de nós dará conta de si mesmo a Deus.
13Assim, não julguemos mais uns aos outros. Em vez disso, procurem viver de tal modo que nunca façam um irmão tropeçar, se ele vir vocês fazerem alguma coisa que ele pensa que está errada.
14Quanto a mim, estou perfeitamente seguro, baseado na autoridade do Senhor Jesus, de que nenhuma comida é por si mesma impura. Entretanto, se alguém achar que isso está errado, então não deve comê-la, pois para essa pessoa ela é impura.
15Se um irmão ficar incomodado por causa daquilo que você come, você não estará procedendo com amor se continuar a comer. Não deixe que a sua comida faça perder-se alguém por quem Cristo morreu.
16Não faça nada que motive censura contra você, mesmo sabendo que aquilo que você faz está certo.
17Afinal de contas, o Reino de Deus não é o que comemos ou bebemos, mas sim a justiça, a paz e a alegria que vêm do Espírito Santo.
18Se vocês deixarem Cristo ser Senhor nessas coisas, Deus se agradará; e vocês serão aprovados pelos homens.
19Desta forma, tenhamos como alvo a harmonia e a edificação de uns para com os outros.
20Não desfaça a obra de Deus por causa da comida. Lembre-se: Não há nada errado com a carne, mas está errado comê-la se isso fizer uma outra pessoa tropeçar.
21A coisa certa a fazer é deixar de comer carne, ou de beber vinho, ou de fazer qualquer outra coisa que leve o seu irmão a pecar.
22Você pode saber que não há nada de errado na forma de crer a respeito destas coisas, mas que isso permaneça entre você e Deus. Nessa situação, feliz é o homem que não se condena quando faz aquilo que sabe que está certo.
23Entretanto, quando alguém acha que comer alguma coisa está errado, não deve fazê-lo. Ele peca se o fizer, pois não come com fé; e tudo o que não provém de fé é pecado.

1RECIBID al flaco en la fe, pero no para contiendas de disputas.
2Porque uno cree que se ha de comer de todas cosas: otro que es débil, come legumbres.
3El que come, no menosprecie al que no come: y el que no come, no juzgue al que come; porque Dios le ha levantado.
4¿Tú quién eres que juzgas al siervo ajeno? para su señor está en pie, ó cae: mas se afirmará; que poderoso es el Señor para afirmarle.
5Uno hace diferencia entre día y día; otro juzga iguales todos los días. Cada uno esté asegurado en su ánimo.
6El que hace caso del día, hácelo para el Señor: y el que no hace caso del día, no lo hace para el Señor. El que come, come para el Señor, porque da gracias á Dios; y el que no come, no come para el Señor, y da gracias á Dios.
7Porque ninguno de nosotros vive para sí, y ninguno muere para sí.
8Que si vivimos, para el Señor vivimos; y si morimos, para el Señor morimos. Así que, ó que vivamos, ó que muramos, del Señor somos.
9Porque Cristo para esto murió, y resucitó, y volvió á vivir, para ser Señor así de los muertos como de los que viven.
10Mas tú ¿por qué juzgas á tu hermano? ó tú también, ¿por qué menosprecias á tu hermano? porque todos hemos de estar ante el tribunal de Cristo.
11Porque escrito está: Vivo yo, dice el Señor, que á mí se doblará toda rodilla, y toda lengua confesará á Dios.
12De manera que, cada uno de nosotros dará á Dios razón de sí.
13Así que, no juzguemos más los unos de los otros: antes bien juzgad de no poner tropiezo ó escándalo al hermano.
14Yo sé, y confío en el Señor Jesús, que de suyo nada hay inmundo: mas á aquel que piensa alguna cosa ser inmunda, para él es inmunda.
15Empero si por causa de la comida tu hermano es contristado, ya no andas conforme á la caridad. No arruines con tu comida á aquél por el cual Cristo murió.
16No sea pues blasfemado vuestro bien:
17Que el reino de Dios no es comida ni bebida, sino justicia y paz y gozo por el Espíritu Santo.
18Porque el que en esto sirve á Cristo, agrada á Dios, y es acepto á los hombres.
19Así que, sigamos lo que hace á la paz, y á la edificación de los unos á los otros.
20No destruyas la obra de Dios por causa de la comida. Todas las cosas á la verdad son limpias: mas malo es al hombre que come con escándalo.
21Bueno es no comer carne, ni beber vino, ni nada en que tu hermano tropiece, ó se ofenda, ó sea debilitado.
22¿Tienes tú fe? Tenla para contigo delante de Dios. Bienaventurado el que no se condena á sí mismo con lo que aprueba.
23Mas el que hace diferencia, si comiere, es condenado, porque no comió por fe: y todo lo que no es de fe, es pecado.

1Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.
2For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.
3Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.
4Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.
5One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
6He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.
7For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.
8For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s.
9For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.
10But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
11For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
12So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
13Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way.
14I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
15But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died.
16Let not then your good be evil spoken of:
17For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
18For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.
19Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
20For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.
21It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.
22Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.
23And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

1Now accept one who is weak in faith, but not for disputes over opinions.
2One man has faith to eat all things, but he who is weak eats only vegetables.
3Don’t let him who eats despise him who doesn’t eat. Don’t let him who doesn’t eat judge him who eats, for God has accepted him.
4Who are you who judge another’s servant? To his own lord he stands or falls. Yes, he will be made to stand, for God has power to make him stand.
5One man esteems one day as more important. Another esteems every day alike. Let each man be fully assured in his own mind.
6He who observes the day, observes it to the Lord; and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it. He who eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks. He who doesn’t eat, to the Lord he doesn’t eat, and gives God thanks.
7For none of us lives to himself, and none dies to himself.
8For if we live, we live to the Lord. Or if we die, we die to the Lord. If therefore we live or die, we are the Lord’s.
9For to this end Christ died, rose, and lived again, that he might be Lord of both the dead and the living.
10But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
11For it is written, “‘As I live,’ says the Lord, ‘to me every knee will bow. Every tongue will confess to God.’”

15Yet if because of food your brother is grieved, you walk no longer in love. Don’t destroy with your food him for whom Christ died.
16Then don’t let your good be slandered,
17for God’s Kingdom is not eating and drinking, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.
18For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men.
19So then, let’s follow after things which make for peace, and things by which we may build one another up.
20Don’t overthrow God’s work for food’s sake. All things indeed are clean, however it is evil for that man who creates a stumbling block by eating.
21It is good to not eat meat, drink wine, nor do anything by which your brother stumbles, is offended, or is made weak.
22Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. Happy is he who doesn’t judge himself in that which he approves.
23But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because it isn’t of faith; and whatever is not of faith is sin.
24Now to him who is able to establish you according to my Good News and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which has been kept secret through long ages,
25but now is revealed, and by the Scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the eternal God, is made known for obedience of faith to all the nations;
26to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever! Amen.
