Que toda pessoa se sujeite às autoridades superiores, pois não há autoridade que não venha de Deus, e as que existem foram ordenadas por Deus.
TODA alma se someta á las potestades superiores; porque no hay potestad sino de Dios; y las que son, de Dios son ordenadas.
Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God.
Portanto, aquele que resiste à autoridade opõe-se à ordenação de Deus; e os que se opõem receberão julgamento sobre si mesmos.
Así que, el que se opone á la potestad, á la ordenación de Dios resiste: y los que resisten, ellos mismos ganan condenación para sí.
Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.

Pois os governantes não são motivo de terror para a boa obra, mas para a má. Você deseja não ter medo da autoridade? Faça o que é bom, e você terá o louvor da autoridade,
Porque los magistrados no son para temor al que bien hace, sino al malo. ¿Quieres pues no temer la potestad? haz lo bueno, y tendrás alabanza de ella;
For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:

pois ele é servo de Deus para o seu bem. Mas, se você fizer o que é mau, tenha medo, pois ele não carrega a espada em vão; pois é servo de Deus, um vingador para trazer a ira sobre aquele que pratica o mal.
Porque es ministro de Dios para tu bien. Mas si hicieres lo malo, teme: porque no en vano lleva el cuchillo; porque es ministro de Dios, vengador para castigo al que hace lo malo.
For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
for he is a servant of God to you for good. But if you do that which is evil, be afraid, for he doesn’t bear the sword in vain; for he is a servant of God, an avenger for wrath to him who does evil.
Portanto, é necessário estar sujeito, não apenas por causa da ira, mas também por causa da consciência.
Por lo cual es necesario que le estéis sujetos, no solamente por la ira, mas aun por la conciencia.
Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.
Therefore you need to be in subjection, not only because of the wrath, but also for conscience’ sake.
Por esta razão vocês também pagam impostos, pois eles são servos a serviço de Deus, dedicando-se continuamente a isso mesmo.
Porque por esto pagáis también los tributos; porque son ministros de Dios que sirven á esto mismo.
For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God’s ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.

Não devam nada a ninguém, a não ser o amarem-se uns aos outros; pois aquele que ama o seu próximo cumpriu a lei.
No debáis á nadie nada, sino amaros unos á otros; porque el que ama al prójimo, cumplió la ley.
Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

Pois os mandamentos: “Não cometerás adultério”, “Não matarás”, “Não furtarás”, “Não cobiçarás”, e quaisquer outros mandamentos que existam, todos se resumem nesta frase, a saber: “Você amará o seu próximo como a si mesmo.”
Porque: No adulterarás; no matarás; no hurtarás; no dirás falso testimonio; no codiciarás; y si hay algún otro mandamiento, en esta sentencia se comprende sumariamente: Amarás á tu prójimo como á ti mismo.
For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other commandments there are, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
O amor não faz mal ao próximo. O amor, portanto, é o cumprimento da lei.
La caridad no hace mal al prójimo: así que, el cumplimento de la ley es la caridad.
Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
Love doesn’t harm a neighbor. Love therefore is the fulfillment of the law.
Façam isso, conhecendo o tempo, que já é hora de vocês despertarem do sono, pois a salvação está agora mais perto de nós do que quando cremos pela primeira vez.
Y esto, conociendo el tiempo, que es ya hora de levantarnos del sueño; porque ahora nos está más cerca nuestra salud que cuando creímos.
And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

A noite está bem avançada, e o dia está próximo. Portanto, despojemo-nos das obras das trevas, e vistamos a armadura da luz.

The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

Andemos decentemente, como de dia; não em orgias e bebedeiras, não em promiscuidade sexual e atos de lascívia, e não em contendas e ciúmes.

Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.

Mas revistam-se do Senhor Jesus Cristo, e não façam provisão para a carne, para as suas concupiscências.

But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
