Dieu n'a point rejeté Son peuple que d'avance Il avait élu. Ou bien ignorez-vous ce que dit l'Écriture dans le passage où Élie implore Dieu contre Israël ?

No ha desechado Dios á su pueblo, al cual antes conoció. ¿O no sabéis qué dice de Elías la Escritura? cómo hablando con Dios contra Israel dice:

God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying,
