1Und hatten Schwänze gleich den Skorpionen, und es waren Stacheln an ihren Schwänzen; und ihre Macht war, zu beleidigen die Menschen fünf Monden lang.
2Und hatten über sich einen König, einen Engel aus dem Abgrund; des Name heißt auf hebräisch Abaddon, und auf griechisch hat er den Namen Apollyon.
3Ein Wehe ist dahin; siehe, es kommen noch zwei Wehe nach dem.
4Und der sechste Engel posaunete. Und ich hörete eine Stimme aus den vier Ecken des güldenen Altars vor Gott,
5die sprach zu dem sechsten Engel, der die Posaune hatte: Löse auf die vier Engel, gebunden an dem großen Wasserstrom Euphrat.
6Und es wurden die vier Engel los, die bereit waren auf eine Stunde und auf einen Tag und auf einen Monden und auf ein Jahr, daß sie töteten das dritte Teil der Menschen.
7Und die Zahl des reisigen Zeuges war viel tausendmal tausend; und ich hörete ihre Zahl.
8Und also sah ich die Rosse im Gesichte, und die daraufsaßen, daß sie hatten feurige und gelbe und schwefelige Panzer; und die Häupter der Rosse wie die Häupter der Löwen; und aus ihrem Munde ging Feuer und Rauch und Schwefel.
9Von diesen dreien ward getötet der dritte Teil der Menschen von dem Feuer und Rauch und Schwefel, der aus ihrem Munde ging.
10Denn ihre Macht war in ihrem Munde, und ihre Schwänze waren den Schlangen gleich, und hatten Häupter, und mit denselbigen taten sie Schaden.
11Und blieben noch Leute, die nicht getötet wurden von diesen Plagen noch, Buße taten für die Werke ihrer Hände, daß sie nicht anbeteten die Teufel und die güldenen, silbernen, ehernen, steinernen und hölzernen Götzen, welche weder sehen noch hören noch wandeln können,
12die auch nicht Buße taten für ihre Morde, Zauberei, Hurerei und Dieberei.
13Und ich sah einen andern starken Engel vom Himmel herabkommen, der war mit einer Wolke bekleidet, und ein Regenbogen auf seinem Haupt und sein Antlitz wie die Sonne und seine Füße wie die Feuerpfeiler.
14Und er hatte in seiner Hand ein Büchlein aufgetan; und er setzte seinen rechten Fuß auf das Meer und den linken auf die Erde.
15Und er schrie mit großer Stimme wie ein Löwe brüllet; und da er schrie, redeten sieben Donner ihre Stimmen.
16Und da die sieben Donner ihre Stimmen geredet hatten, wollte ich sie schreiben. Da hörete ich eine Stimme vom Himmel sagen zu mir: Versiegle, was die sieben Donner geredet haben; dieselbigen schreibe nicht.
17Und der Engel, den ich sah stehen auf dem Meer und auf der Erde, hub seine Hand auf gen Himmel
18und schwur bei dem Lebendigen von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit, der den Himmel geschaffen hat, und was darinnen ist, und die Erde, und was darinnen ist, und das Meer, und was darinnen ist, daß hinfort keine Zeit mehr sein soll,
19sondern in den Tagen der Stimme des siebenten Engels, wenn er posaunen wird, so soll vollendet werden das Geheimnis Gottes, wie er hat verkündiget seinen Knechten und Propheten.
20Und ich hörete eine Stimme vom Himmel abermal mit mir reden und sagen: Gehe hin, nimm das offene Büchlein von der Hand des Engels, der auf dem Meer und auf der Erde stehet.
21Und ich ging hin zum Engel und sprach zu ihm: Gib mir das Büchlein! Und er sprach zu mir: Nimm hin und verschlinge es; und es wird dich im Bauch grimmen, aber in deinem Munde wird's süß sein wie Honig;

1Y EL quinto ángel tocó la trompeta, y vi una estrella que cayó del cielo en la tierra; y le fué dada la llave del pozo del abismo.
2Y abrió el pozo del abismo, y subió humo del pozo como el humo de un gran horno; y oscurecióse el sol y el aire por el humo del pozo.
3Y del humo salieron langostas sobre la tierra; y fuéles dada potestad, como tienen potestad los escorpiones de la tierra.
4Y les fué mandado que no hiciesen daño á la hierba de la tierra, ni á ninguna cosa verde, ni á ningún árbol, sino solamente á los hombres que no tienen la señal de Dios en sus frentes.
5Y les fué dado que no los matasen, sino que los atormentasen cinco meses; y su tormento era como tormento de escorpión, cuando hiere al hombre.
6Y en aquellos días buscarán los hombres la muerte, y no la hallarán; y desearán morir, y la muerte huirá de ellos.
7Y el parecer de las langostas era semejante á caballos aparejados para la guerra: y sobre sus cabezas tenían como coronas semejantes al oro; y sus caras como caras de hombres.
8Y tenían cabellos como cabellos de mujeres: y sus dientes eran como dientes de leones.
9Y tenían corazas como corazas de hierro; y el estruendo de sus alas, como el ruido de carros que con muchos caballos corren á la batalla.
10Y tenían colas semejantes á las de los escorpiones, y tenían en sus colas aguijones; y su poder era de hacer daño á los hombres cinco meses.
11Y tienen sobre sí por rey al ángel del abismo, cuyo nombre en hebraico es Abaddon, y en griego, Apollyon.
12El primer ¡Ay! es pasado: he aquí, vienen aún dos ayes después de estas cosas.
13Y el sexto ángel tocó la trompeta; y oí una voz de los cuatro cuernos del altar de oro que estaba delante de Dios,
14Diciendo al sexto ángel que tenía la trompeta: Desata los cuatro ángeles que están atados en el gran río Eufrates.
15Y fueron desatados los cuatro ángeles que estaban aparejados para la hora y día y mes y año, para matar la tercera parte de los hombres.
16Y el número del ejército de los de á caballo era doscientos millones. Y oí el número de ellos.
17Y así vi los caballos en visión, y los que sobre ellos estaban sentados, los cuales tenían corazas de fuego, de jacinto, y de azufre. Y las cabezas de los caballos eran como cabezas de leones; y de la boca de ellos salía fuego y humo y azufre.
18De estas tres plagas fué muerta la tercera parte de los hombres: del fuego, y del humo, y del azufre, que salían de la boca de ellos.
19Porque su poder está en su boca y en sus colas: porque sus colas eran semejantes á serpientes, y tenían cabezas, y con ellas dañan.
20Y los otros hombres que no fueron muertos con estas plagas, aun no se arrepintieron de las obras de sus manos, para que no adorasen á los demonios, y á las imágenes de oro, y de plata, y de metal, y de piedra, y de madera; las cuales no pueden ver, ni oir, ni andar:
21Y no se arrepintieron de sus homicidios, ni de sus hechicerías, ni de su fornicación, ni de sus hurtos.

1And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.
2And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.
3And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
4And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.
5And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.
6And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.
7And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men.
8And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions.
9And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle.
10And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months.
11And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.
12One woe is past; and, behold, there come two woes more hereafter.
13And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,
14Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates.
15And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.
16And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.
17And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone.
18By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.
19For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt.
20And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:
21Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.

1The fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star from the sky which had fallen to the earth. The key to the pit of the abyss was given to him.
2He opened the pit of the abyss, and smoke went up out of the pit, like the smoke from a burning furnace. The sun and the air were darkened because of the smoke from the pit.
3Then out of the smoke came locusts on the earth, and power was given to them, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
4They were told that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree, but only those people who don’t have God’s seal on their foreheads.
5They were given power, not to kill them, but to torment them for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it strikes a person.
6In those days people will seek death, and will in no way find it. They will desire to die, and death will flee from them.
7The shapes of the locusts were like horses prepared for war. On their heads were something like golden crowns, and their faces were like people’s faces.
8They had hair like women’s hair, and their teeth were like those of lions.
9They had breastplates like breastplates of iron. The sound of their wings was like the sound of many chariots and horses rushing to war.
10They have tails like those of scorpions, with stingers. In their tails they have power to harm men for five months.
11They have over them as king the angel of the abyss. His name in Hebrew is “Abaddon”, but in Greek, he has the name “Apollyon”.
12The first woe is past. Behold, there are still two woes coming after this.
13The sixth angel sounded. I heard a voice from the horns of the golden altar which is before God,
14saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, “Free the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates!”
15The four angels were freed who had been prepared for that hour and day and month and year, so that they might kill one third of mankind.
16The number of the armies of the horsemen was two hundred million. I heard the number of them.
17Thus I saw the horses in the vision and those who sat on them, having breastplates of fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulfur yellow; and the horses’ heads resembled lions’ heads. Out of their mouths proceed fire, smoke, and sulfur.
18By these three plagues, one third of mankind was killed: by the fire, the smoke, and the sulfur, which proceeded out of their mouths.
19For the power of the horses is in their mouths and in their tails. For their tails are like serpents, and have heads; and with them they harm.
20The rest of mankind, who were not killed with these plagues, didn’t repent of the works of their hands, that they wouldn’t worship demons, and the idols of gold, and of silver, and of brass, and of stone, and of wood, which can’t see, hear, or walk.
21They didn’t repent of their murders, their sorceries, their sexual immorality, or their thefts.
