1Darnach schaute ich, und siehe, eine Tür war geöffnet im Himmel; und die erste Stimme, die ich gleich einer Posaune mit mir reden gehört hatte, sprach: Steige hier herauf, und ich will dir zeigen, was nach diesem geschehen soll!
2Und alsbald war ich im Geist; und siehe, ein Thron stand im Himmel, und auf dem Thron saß einer.
3Und der darauf saß, war anzusehen wie Jaspis und Sardisstein; und ein Regenbogen war rings um den Thron, anzusehen wie ein Smaragd.
4Und rings um den Thron waren vierundzwanzig Throne, und auf den Thronen sah ich vierundzwanzig Älteste sitzen, angetan mit weißen Kleidern, und auf ihren Häuptern goldene Kronen.
5Und von dem Throne gehen Blitze und Stimmen und Donner aus, und sieben Feuerfackeln brennen vor dem Thron; das sind die sieben Geister Gottes.
6Und vor dem Thron ist es wie ein gläsernes Meer, gleich Kristall; und in der Mitte des Thrones und rings um den Thron sind vier lebendige Wesen, voller Augen vorn und hinten.
7Und das erste ist gleich einem Löwen, das zweite gleich einem Kalbe, das dritte hat ein Angesicht wie ein Mensch, und das vierte ist gleich einem fliegenden Adler.
8Und die vier lebendigen Wesen, von denen ein jedes sechs Flügel hat, sind ringsherum und inwendig voller Augen; und sie hören Tag und Nacht nicht auf zu sagen: Heilig, heilig, heilig ist der Herr, Gott der Allmächtige, der da war, und der da ist, und der da kommt!
9Und so oft die lebendigen Wesen Ruhm und Ehre und Dank darbringen dem, der auf dem Throne sitzt, der da lebt von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit,
10so fallen die vierundzwanzig Ältesten nieder vor dem, der auf dem Throne sitzt, und beten den an, der da lebt von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit, und werfen ihre Kronen vor dem Throne nieder und sprechen:
11Würdig bist du, unser Herr und Gott, zu empfangen den Ruhm und die Ehre und die Macht; denn du hast alle Dinge geschaffen, und durch deinen Willen sind sie und wurden sie geschaffen!

1DESPUÉS de estas cosas miré, y he aquí una puerta abierta en el cielo: y la primera voz que oí, era como de trompeta que hablaba conmigo, diciendo: Sube acá, y yo te mostraré las cosas que han de ser después de éstas.
2Y luego yo fuí en Espíritu: y he aquí, un trono que estaba puesto en el cielo, y sobre el trono estaba uno sentado.
3Y el que estaba sentado, era al parecer semejante á una piedra de jaspe y de sardio: y un arco celeste había alrededor del trono, semejante en el aspecto á la esmeralda.
4Y alrededor del trono había veinticuatro sillas: y vi sobre las sillas veinticuatro ancianos sentados, vestidos de ropas blancas; y tenían sobre sus cabezas coronas de oro.
5Y del trono salían relámpagos y truenos y voces: y siete lámparas de fuego estaban ardiendo delante del trono, las cuales son los siete Espíritus de Dios.
6Y delante del trono había como un mar de vidrio semejante al cristal; y en medio del trono, y alrededor del trono, cuatro animales llenos de ojos delante y detrás.
7Y el primer animal era semejante á un león; y el segundo animal, semejante á un becerro; y el tercer animal tenía la cara como de hombre; y el cuarto animal, semejante á un águila volando.
8Y los cuatro animales tenían cada uno por sí seis alas alrededor, y de dentro estaban llenos de ojos; y no tenían reposo día ni noche, diciendo: Santo, santo, santo el Señor Dios Todopoderoso, que era, y que es, y que ha de venir.
9Y cuando aquellos animales daban gloria y honra y alabanza al que estaba sentado en el trono, al que vive para siempre jamás,
10Los veinticuatro ancianos se postraban delante del que estaba sentado en el trono, y adoraban al que vive para siempre jamás, y echaban sus coronas delante del trono, diciendo:
11Señor, digno eres de recibir gloria y honra y virtud: porque tú criaste todas las cosas, y por tu voluntad tienen ser y fueron criadas.

1After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
2And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
3And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.
4And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.
5And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
6And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.
7And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.
8And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
9And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,
10The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
11Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

1After these things I looked and saw a door opened in heaven; and the first voice that I heard, like a trumpet speaking with me, was one saying, “Come up here, and I will show you the things which must happen after this.”
2Immediately I was in the Spirit. Behold, there was a throne set in heaven, and one sitting on the throne
3that looked like a jasper stone and a sardius. There was a rainbow around the throne, like an emerald to look at.
4Around the throne were twenty-four thrones. On the thrones were twenty-four elders sitting, dressed in white garments, with crowns of gold on their heads.
5Out of the throne proceed lightnings, sounds, and thunders. There were seven lamps of fire burning before his throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
6Before the throne was something like a sea of glass, similar to crystal. In the middle of the throne, and around the throne were four living creatures full of eyes before and behind.
7The first creature was like a lion, the second creature like a calf, the third creature had a face like a man, and the fourth was like a flying eagle.
8The four living creatures, each one of them having six wings, are full of eyes around and within. They have no rest day and night, saying, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, the Almighty, who was and who is and who is to come!”
9When the living creatures give glory, honor, and thanks to him who sits on the throne, to him who lives forever and ever,
10the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives forever and ever, and throw their crowns before the throne, saying,
11“Worthy are you, our Lord and God, the Holy One, to receive the glory, the honor, and the power, for you created all things, and because of your desire they existed and were created!”
