Salmos 94

Rotherham Emphasized Bible (1902)

1O GOD of avenging—Yahweh, GOD of avenging, shine forth:

2Lift up thyself, O judge of the earth, Render a recompense unto the proud.

3How long shall the lawless, O Yahweh, How long shall the lawless exult?

4They pour forth words, they speak arrogantly, All the workers of iniquity, do boast:

5Thy people, O Yahweh, they will crush, And, thine inheritance, tread down;

6The widow and sojourner, they will slay, And, the fatherless, murder.

7Yet have they said—Yah, doth not see, The God of Jacob, doth not understand.

8Understand, ye brutish among the people, And, ye dullards, when will ye show discretion?

9He that planteth the ear, shall he not hear? Or, that fashioneth the eye, shall he not have power to see?

10He that correcteth nations, shall he not reprove? He that teacheth man knowledge!

11Yahweh, knoweth the plans of men, That, they, are a breath!

12How happy the man whom thou correctest, O Yah! And whom, out of thy law, thou instructest!

13That thou mayest give him rest from the days of misfortune, Until there be digged—for the lawless one—a pit.

14For Yahweh, will not abandon, his people, And, his inheritance, will he not forsake;

15For, unto righteousness, shall the judicial sentence return, Then shall follow it—all the upright in heart.

16Who will rise up for me, against the evil-doers? Who will make a stand for me, against the workers of iniquity?

17If, Yahweh, had not been a help to me, Soon had sunk into silence—my soul!

18If I say, My foot, hath slipped, Thy lovingkindness, O Yahweh, supporteth me.

19In the multitude of my cares within me, Thy consolations, delight my soul.

20Shall the throne that inflicteth ruin, have fellowship with thee, That frameth oppression, by statute?

21They make an attack on the life of the righteous one,—And, innocent blood, they condemn.

22But, Yahweh, hath become for me a high tower, And my God, my rock of refuge.

23Thus hath he brought back on them their iniquity, And, by their own wickedness, will he destroy them, Destroy them, will Yahweh our God.

12Bienaventurado el hombre á quien tú, JAH, castigares, y en tu ley lo instruyeres;

13Para tranquilizarle en los días de aflicción, en tanto que para el impío se cava el hoyo.

14Porque no dejará Jehová su pueblo, ni desamparará su heredad;

18Cuando yo decía: Mi pie resbala: tu misericordia, oh Jehová, me sustentaba.

King James Version

1O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.

2Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.

3LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?

4How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?

5They break in pieces thy people, O LORD, and afflict thine heritage.

6They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.

7Yet they say, The LORD shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.

8Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise?

9He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?

10He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know?

11The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.

12Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law;

13That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.

14For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

15But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

16Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

17Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.

18When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up.

19In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.

20Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?

21They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

22But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

23And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off.

World English Bible

1LORD, you God to whom vengeance belongs, you God to whom vengeance belongs, shine out.

2Rise up, you judge of the earth. Pay back the proud what they deserve.

3LORD, how long will the wicked, how long will the wicked triumph?

4They pour out arrogant words. All the evildoers boast.

5They break your people in pieces, LORD, and afflict your heritage.

6They kill the widow and the alien, and murder the fatherless.

7They say, “The LORD will not see, neither will Jacob’s God consider.”

8Consider, you senseless among the people; you fools, when will you be wise?

9He who implanted the ear, won’t he hear? He who formed the eye, won’t he see?

10He who disciplines the nations, won’t he punish? He who teaches man knows.

11The LORD knows the thoughts of man, that they are futile.

12Blessed is the man whom you discipline, LORD, and teach out of your law,

13that you may give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit is dug for the wicked.

14For the LORD won’t reject his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

15For judgment will return to righteousness. All the upright in heart shall follow it.

16Who will rise up for me against the wicked? Who will stand up for me against the evildoers?

17Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul would have soon lived in silence.

18When I said, “My foot is slipping!” Your loving kindness, LORD, held me up.

19In the multitude of my thoughts within me, your comforts delight my soul.

20Shall the throne of wickedness have fellowship with you, which brings about mischief by statute?

21They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

22But the LORD has been my high tower, my God, the rock of my refuge.

23He has brought on them their own iniquity, and will cut them off in their own wickedness. The LORD, our God, will cut them off.
