Nova Bíblia Viva
1Ao Senhor pertence a autoridade para castigar! Ó Deus vingador, faça brilhar a sua glória.
2Levante-se, ó Juiz da terra, e julgue os homens! Castigue os orgulhosos como eles merecem.
3Até quando deixará os maus sem castigo? Até quando os perversos se alegrarão de suas maldades, Senhor?
4Falam palavras duras e arrogantes; eles se orgulham em contar os pecados que cometeram.
5Pisam o seu povo, ó Senhor, e maltratam os seus escolhidos;
6matam as viúvas e os estrangeiros; assassinam os órfãos,
7e pensam: “O Senhor não vê o que estamos fazendo! O Deus de Jacó não dará a menor importância”.
8Vocês são tolos! Quando será que vão entender as coisas e se tornarão sábios?
9Se foi o Senhor que formou o ouvido, será que ele não pode ouvir? Se foi o Senhor que formou o olho, será que ele não pode ver?
10Aquele que julga e castiga as nações não vai castigar todas elas? Ele dá conhecimento aos homens; como poderia deixar de saber o que vocês fazem?
11O Senhor conhece os pensamentos do homem e sabe que eles não passam de ilusão!
12Como é feliz o homem a quem o Senhor corrige e ensina a sua lei!
13Assim, a sua mente ficará em paz e ele esperará com paciência o dia em que os maus serão castigados.
14Pois o Senhor nunca abandonará o seu povo, nem deixará os seus escolhidos à própria sorte, porque são a sua herança.
15Ele fará os juízes julgarem com justiça novamente, e os retos de coração a seguirão.
16Quem se levantará para me ajudar contra os maus? Quem ficará ao meu lado contra os que fazem o mal?
17Se o Senhor não tivesse me ajudado, eu já estaria no reino dos mortos há muito tempo!
18Quando eu gritei: “Socorro, estou caindo!”, o seu amor cuidadoso, Senhor, me amparou e me pôs em pé.
19Quando minha mente estava cheia de dúvidas e preocupações, o Senhor me consolou e encheu o meu ser de alegria!
20Por acaso o Senhor deixa um governo mau e injusto associar-se com o seu nome? Eles torcem as leis para poderem fazer o mal!
21Ajuntam-se para destruir os justos e condenam os inocentes à morte!
22Mas o Senhor é a minha fortaleza segura; o meu Deus é a rocha firme onde encontro refúgio.
23Ele fará a maldade desses homens cair sobre eles mesmos; Deus destruirá essa gente com os pecados que eles vivem cometendo. O Senhor, o nosso Deus, acabará com eles!

1JEHOVÁ, Dios de las venganzas, Dios de las venganzas, muéstrate.
2Ensálzate, oh Juez de la tierra: da el pago á los soberbios.
3¿Hasta cuándo los impíos, hasta cuándo, oh Jehová, se gozarán los impíos?
4¿Hasta cuándo pronunciarán, hablarán cosas duras, y se vanagloriarán todos los que obran iniquidad?
5A tu pueblo, oh Jehová, quebrantan, y á tu heredad afligen.
6A la viuda y al extanjero matan, y á los huérfanos quitan la vida.
7Y dijeron: No verá JAH, ni entenderá el Dios de Jacob.
8Entended, necios del pueblo; y vosotros fatuos, ¿cuándo seréis sabios?
9El que plantó el oído, ¿no oirá? el que formó el ojo, ¿no verá?
10El que castiga las gentes, ¿no reprenderá? ¿no sabrá el que enseña al hombre la ciencia?
11Jehová conoce los pensamientos de los hombres, que son vanidad.
12Bienaventurado el hombre á quien tú, JAH, castigares, y en tu ley lo instruyeres;
13Para tranquilizarle en los días de aflicción, en tanto que para el impío se cava el hoyo.
14Porque no dejará Jehová su pueblo, ni desamparará su heredad;
15Sino que el juicio será vuelto á justicia, y en pos de ella irán todos los rectos de corazón.
16¿Quién se levantará por mí contra los malignos? ¿quién estará por mí contra los que obran iniquidad?
17Si no me ayudara Jehová, presto morara mi alma en el silencio.
18Cuando yo decía: Mi pie resbala: tu misericordia, oh Jehová, me sustentaba.
19En la multitud de mis pensamientos dentro de mí, tus consolaciones alegraban mi alma.
20¿Juntaráse contigo el trono de iniquidades, que forma agravio en el mandamiento?
21Pónense en corros contra la vida del justo, y condenan la sangre inocente.
22Mas Jehová me ha sido por refugio; y mi Dios por roca de mi confianza.
23Y él hará tornar sobre ellos su iniquidad, y los destruirá por su propia maldad; los talará Jehová nuestro Dios.

1O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.
2Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.
3LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?
4How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?
5They break in pieces thy people, O LORD, and afflict thine heritage.
6They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.
7Yet they say, The LORD shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.
8Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise?
9He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?
10He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know?
11The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.
12Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law;
13That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.
14For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.
15But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.
16Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?
17Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.
18When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up.
19In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.
20Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?
21They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.
22But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.
23And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off.

1LORD, you God to whom vengeance belongs, you God to whom vengeance belongs, shine out.
2Rise up, you judge of the earth. Pay back the proud what they deserve.
3LORD, how long will the wicked, how long will the wicked triumph?
4They pour out arrogant words. All the evildoers boast.
5They break your people in pieces, LORD, and afflict your heritage.
6They kill the widow and the alien, and murder the fatherless.
7They say, “The LORD will not see, neither will Jacob’s God consider.”
8Consider, you senseless among the people; you fools, when will you be wise?
9He who implanted the ear, won’t he hear? He who formed the eye, won’t he see?
10He who disciplines the nations, won’t he punish? He who teaches man knows.
11The LORD knows the thoughts of man, that they are futile.
12Blessed is the man whom you discipline, LORD, and teach out of your law,
13that you may give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit is dug for the wicked.
14For the LORD won’t reject his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.
15For judgment will return to righteousness. All the upright in heart shall follow it.
16Who will rise up for me against the wicked? Who will stand up for me against the evildoers?
17Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul would have soon lived in silence.
18When I said, “My foot is slipping!” Your loving kindness, LORD, held me up.
19In the multitude of my thoughts within me, your comforts delight my soul.
20Shall the throne of wickedness have fellowship with you, which brings about mischief by statute?
21They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.
22But the LORD has been my high tower, my God, the rock of my refuge.
23He has brought on them their own iniquity, and will cut them off in their own wickedness. The LORD, our God, will cut them off.
