1Hymne de Ethan Esrahite.Je veux chanter à jamais les grâces de l'Éternel, et d'âge en âge de ma bouche publier Ta fidélité !
2Car je me dis : La grâce est édifiée pour jamais, le ciel est la base que Tu donnes à ta fidélité.
3« J'ai fait une alliance en faveur de mon élu, je l'ai juré à David, mon serviteur :
4J'affermirai ta race à jamais, et je fonderai ton trône pour tous les âges. » (Pause)
5« Et les Cieux, Éternel, célèbrent tes merveilles, et disent ta fidélité dans l'assemblée des Saints.
6Car, dans les lieux éthérés, qui s'égale à l'Éternel ? qui ressemble à l'Éternel, parmi les Fils de Dieu,
7à ce Dieu, redouté dans la vaste société des Saints, et plus formidable que tous ceux qui L'entourent ?
8Éternel, Dieu des armées, qui est comme toi puissant, ô Dieu ? Et ta fidélité t'environne.
9Tu domines l'orgueil de la mer ; quand ses flots se soulèvent, tu les apaises.
10Tu as écrasé l'Egypte d'un coup mortel, et de ton bras puissant dissipé tes ennemis.
11A toi sont les Cieux, et à toi la terre ; c'est toi qui as fondé le monde et ce qu'il enserre.
12Tu as créé l'Aquilon et le Midi ; le Thabor et l'Hermon se réjouissent à ton nom.
13Tu as un bras armé de vigueur, ta main est forte, ta droite élevée.
14La justice et l'équité sont la base de ton trône, la grâce et la vérité marchent devant ta face.
15Heureux le peuple qui connaît l'appel de la trompette ! Éternel, il marche à la clarté de ta face ;
16à ton nom il se réjouit toujours, et il se glorifie de ta justice.
17Car tu es sa glorieuse parure ; et par ta faveur tu nous fais porter la tête levée.
18Car c'est de l'Éternel que vient notre bouclier, et du Saint d'Israël que vient notre Roi.
19Alors tu parlas en vision à ton bien-aimé, et tu dis : « J'ai prêté secours à un héros, et suscité un adolescent du milieu du peuple.
20J'ai trouvé David, mon serviteur, et je l'ai oint de mon huile sainte.
21Ma main lui est assurée, et mon bras le soutiendra.
22L'ennemi ne le surprendra pas, et le méchant ne l'humiliera point.
23Je déferai devant lui ses adversaires, et je battrai ses ennemis.
24Et ma fidélité et ma grâce seront avec lui, et à mon nom il lèvera la tête ;
25et je mettrai sa main sur la mer, et sa droite sur les fleuves.
26Il m'invoquera ainsi : « Tu es mon père, mon Dieu, et mon rocher sauveur ! » –
27Bien plus, je l'instituerai mon premier-né, le plus éminent des rois de la terre,
28Je lui garderai ma grâce éternellement, et mon alliance pour lui sera perpétuelle.
29Je rendrai sa race éternelle, et je donnerai à son trône la durée des Cieux.
30Si ses fils abandonnent ma loi, et ne se dirigent pas selon mes jugements,
31s'ils violent mes commandements, et n'observent pas mes préceptes ;
32Je punirai de la verge leur désobéissance, et de fléaux, leur crime ;
33mais je ne lui retirerai point ma faveur, et ne démentirai point ma fidélité ;
34je ne violerai point mon alliance, et ne changerai point la parole émise par mes lèvres.
35Je l'ai juré une fois par ma sainteté : Jamais envers David je ne serai menteur !
36sa race subsistera éternellement, et son trône, comme le soleil, subsistera devant moi ;
37comme la lune, pour jamais il est consolidé ; et le témoin qui est dans la nue, est véridique. »
38Et Tu nous as rejetés, nous as répudiés, tu t'es irrité contre ton Oint ;
39tu as méprisé l'alliance faite avec ton serviteur ; tu as souillé, fait tomber son diadème en terre ;
40tu as abattu toutes ses murailles, mis ses boulevards en ruines.
41Tous les passants le pillent, il est l'opprobre de ses voisins.
42Tu as exalté la droite de ses oppresseurs, réjoui tous ses ennemis ;
43et tu as fait céder le tranchant de son glaive, et tu ne l'as pas soutenu dans le combat.
44Tu as réduit sa splendeur, et précipité son trône sur la terre ;
45tu as abrégé les jours de sa jeunesse, tu l'as couvert d'ignominie. (Pause)
46Éternel, jusques à quand te cacheras-tu toujours, et ton courroux sera-t-il enflammé comme un feu ?
47Pense à moi ! qu'est-ce que la vie ? Pour quel néant tu as créé les enfants des humains !
48Quel homme vit, et ne voit pas la mort ? dégage son âme de la main des Enfers ? (Pause)
49Où sont tes grâces premières, Seigneur, qu'en ta fidélité tu promis par serment à David ?
50Souviens-toi, Seigneur, de l'opprobre de tes serviteurs ; songe que je porte en mon cœur tous ces peuples nombreux,
51que tes ennemis insultent, Éternel, insultent aux pas de ton Oint ! \csp{

1Masquil de Ethán Ezrahita. LAS misericordias de Jehová cantaré perpetuamente: en generación y generación haré notoria tu verdad con mi boca.
2Porque dije: Para siempre será edificada misericordia; en los mismos cielos apoyarás tu verdad.
3Hice alianza con mi escogido; juré á David mi siervo, diciendo:
4Para siempre confirmaré tu simiente, y edificaré tu trono por todas las generaciones. (Selah.)
5Y celebrarán los cielos tu maravilla, oh Jehová; tu verdad también en la congregación de los santos.
6Porque ¿quién en los cielos se igualará con Jehová? ¿quién será semejante á Jehová entre los hijos de los potentados?
7Dios terrible en la grande congregación de los santos, y formidable sobre todos cuantos están alrededor suyo.
8Oh Jehová, Dios de los ejércitos, ¿quién como tú? Poderoso eres, Jehová, y tu verdad está en torno de ti.
9Tú tienes dominio sobre la bravura de la mar: cuando se levantan sus ondas, tú las sosiegas.
10Tú quebrantaste á Rahab como á un muerto: con el brazo de tu fortaleza esparciste á tus enemigos.
11Tuyos los cielos, tuya también la tierra: el mundo y su plenitud, tú lo fundaste.
12Al aquilón y al austro tú los criaste: Tabor y Hermón cantarán en tu nombre.
13Tuyo el brazo con valentía; fuerte es tu mano, ensalzada tu diestra.
14Justicia y juicio son el asiento de tu trono: misericordia y verdad van delante de tu rostro.
15Bienaventurado el pueblo que sabe aclamarte: andarán, oh Jehová, á la luz de tu rostro.
16En tu nombre se alegrarán todo el día; y en tu justicia serán ensalzados.
17Porque tú eres la gloria de su fortaleza; y por tu buena voluntad ensalzarás nuestro cuerno.
18Porque Jehová es nuestro escudo; y nuestro rey es el Santo de Israel.
19Entonces hablaste en visión á tu santo, y dijiste: Yo he puesto el socorro sobre valiente; he ensalzado un escogido de mi pueblo.
20Hallé á David mi siervo; ungílo con el aceite de mi santidad.
21Mi mano será firme con él, mi brazo también lo fortificará.
22No lo avasallará enemigo, ni hijo de iniquidad lo quebrantará.
23Mas yo quebrantaré delante de él á sus enemigos, y heriré á sus aborrecedores.
24Y mi verdad y mi misericordia serán con él; y en mi nombre será ensalzado su cuerno.
25Asimismo pondré su mano en la mar, y en los ríos su diestra.
26El me llamará: Mi padre eres tú, mi Dios, y la roca de mi salud.
27Yo también le pondré por primogénito, alto sobre los reyes de la tierra.
28Para siempre le conservaré mi misericordia; y mi alianza será firme con él.
29Y pondré su simiente para siempre, y su trono como los días de los cielos.
30Si dejaren sus hijos mi ley, y no anduvieren en mis juicios;
31Si profanaren mis estatutos, y no guardaren mis mandamientos;
32Entonces visitaré con vara su rebelión, y con azotes sus iniquidades.
33Mas no quitaré de él mi misericordia, ni falsearé mi verdad.
34No olvidaré mi pacto, ni mudaré lo que ha salido de mis labios.
35Una vez he jurado por mi santidad, que no mentiré á David.
36Su simiente será para siempre, y su trono como el sol delante de mí.
37Como la luna será firme para siempre, y como un testigo fiel en el cielo. (Selah.)
38Mas tú desechaste y menospreciaste á tu ungido; y te has airado con él.
39Rompiste el pacto de tu siervo; has profanado su corona hasta la tierra.
40Aportillaste todos sus vallados; has quebrantado sus fortalezas.
41Menoscabáronle todos los que pasaron por el camino: es oprobio á sus vecinos.
42Has ensalzado la diestra de sus enemigos; has alegrado á todos sus adversarios.
43Embotaste asimismo el filo de su espada, y no lo levantaste en la batalla.
44Hiciste cesar su brillo, y echaste su trono por tierra.
45Has acortado los días de su juventud; hasle cubierto de afrenta. (Selah.)
46¿Hasta cuándo, oh Jehová? ¿te esconderás para siempre? ¿arderá tu ira como el fuego?
47Acuérdate de cuán corto sea mi tiempo: ¿por qué habrás criado en vano á todos los hijos del hombre?
48¿Qué hombre vivirá y no verá muerte? ¿librarás su vida del poder del sepulcro? (Selah.)
49Señor, ¿dónde están tus antiguas misericordias, que juraste á David por tu verdad?
50Señor, acuérdate del oprobio de tus siervos; oprobio que llevo yo en mi seno de muchos pueblos.
51Porque tus enemigos, oh Jehová, han deshonrado, porque tus enemigos han deshonrado los pasos de tu ungido.

1I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.
2For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens.
3I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant,
4Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah.
5And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O LORD: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints.
6For who in the heaven can be compared unto the LORD? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the LORD?
7God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him.
8O LORD God of hosts, who is a strong LORD like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee?
9Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them.
10Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with thy strong arm.
11The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: as for the world and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them.
12The north and the south thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in thy name.
13Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thy hand, and high is thy right hand.
14Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.
15Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance.
16In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted.
17For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted.
18For the LORD is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.
19Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.
20I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:
21With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him.
22The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.
23And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.
24But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted.
25I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.
26He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.
27Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.
28My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.
29His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.
30If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;
31If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;
32Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.
33Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.
34My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.
35Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David.
36His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me.
37It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah.
38But thou hast cast off and abhorred, thou hast been wroth with thine anointed.
39Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant: thou hast profaned his crown by casting it to the ground.
40Thou hast broken down all his hedges; thou hast brought his strong holds to ruin.
41All that pass by the way spoil him: he is a reproach to his neighbours.
42Thou hast set up the right hand of his adversaries; thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice.
43Thou hast also turned the edge of his sword, and hast not made him to stand in the battle.
44Thou hast made his glory to cease, and cast his throne down to the ground.
45The days of his youth hast thou shortened: thou hast covered him with shame. Selah.
46How long, LORD? wilt thou hide thyself for ever? shall thy wrath burn like fire?
47Remember how short my time is: wherefore hast thou made all men in vain?
48What man is he that liveth, and shall not see death? shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave? Selah.
49Lord, where are thy former lovingkindnesses, which thou swarest unto David in thy truth?
50Remember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants; how I do bear in my bosom the reproach of all the mighty people;
51Wherewith thine enemies have reproached, O LORD; wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.

1I will sing of the loving kindness of the LORD forever. With my mouth, I will make known your faithfulness to all generations.
2I indeed declare, “Love stands firm forever. You established the heavens. Your faithfulness is in them.”
3“I have made a covenant with my chosen one, I have sworn to David, my servant,
4‘I will establish your offspring forever, and build up your throne to all generations.’” Selah.
5The heavens will praise your wonders, LORD, your faithfulness also in the assembly of the holy ones.
6For who in the skies can be compared to the LORD? Who among the sons of the heavenly beings is like the LORD,
7a very awesome God in the council of the holy ones, to be feared above all those who are around him?
8LORD, God of Armies, who is a mighty one, like you? LORD, your faithfulness is around you.
9You rule the pride of the sea. When its waves rise up, you calm them.
10You have broken Rahab in pieces, like one of the slain. You have scattered your enemies with your mighty arm.
11The heavens are yours. The earth also is yours, the world and its fullness. You have founded them.
12You have created the north and the south. Tabor and Hermon rejoice in your name.
13You have a mighty arm. Your hand is strong, and your right hand is exalted.
14Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne. Loving kindness and truth go before your face.
15Blessed are the people who learn to acclaim you. They walk in the light of your presence, LORD.
16In your name they rejoice all day. In your righteousness, they are exalted.
17For you are the glory of their strength. In your favor, our horn will be exalted.
18For our shield belongs to the LORD, our king to the Holy One of Israel.
19Then you spoke in vision to your saints, and said, “I have given strength to the warrior. I have exalted a young man from the people.
20I have found David, my servant. I have anointed him with my holy oil,
21with whom my hand shall be established. My arm will also strengthen him.
22No enemy will tax him. No wicked man will oppress him.
23I will beat down his adversaries before him, and strike those who hate him.
24But my faithfulness and my loving kindness will be with him. In my name, his horn will be exalted.
25I will set his hand also on the sea, and his right hand on the rivers.
26He will call to me, ‘You are my Father, my God, and the rock of my salvation!’
27I will also appoint him my firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth.
28I will keep my loving kindness for him forever more. My covenant will stand firm with him.

30If his children forsake my law, and don’t walk in my ordinances;
31if they break my statutes, and don’t keep my commandments;
32then I will punish their sin with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.
33But I will not completely take my loving kindness from him, nor allow my faithfulness to fail.
34I will not break my covenant, nor alter what my lips have uttered.
35Once I have sworn by my holiness, I will not lie to David.
36His offspring will endure forever, his throne like the sun before me.
37It will be established forever like the moon, the faithful witness in the sky.” Selah.
38But you have rejected and spurned. You have been angry with your anointed.
39You have renounced the covenant of your servant. You have defiled his crown in the dust.
40You have broken down all his hedges. You have brought his strongholds to ruin.
41All who pass by the way rob him. He has become a reproach to his neighbors.
42You have exalted the right hand of his adversaries. You have made all of his enemies rejoice.
43Yes, you turn back the edge of his sword, and haven’t supported him in battle.
44You have ended his splendor, and thrown his throne down to the ground.
45You have shortened the days of his youth. You have covered him with shame. Selah.
46How long, LORD? Will you hide yourself forever? Will your wrath burn like fire?
47Remember how short my time is, for what vanity you have created all the children of men!
48What man is he who shall live and not see death, who shall deliver his soul from the power of Sheol? Selah.
49Lord, where are your former loving kindnesses, which you swore to David in your faithfulness?
50Remember, Lord, the reproach of your servants, how I bear in my heart the taunts of all the mighty peoples,
51With which your enemies have mocked, LORD, with which they have mocked the footsteps of your anointed one.
