1Como é agradável estar no lugar da sua habitação, ó Senhor dos Exércitos!
2A minha alma suspira, sente muita saudade do templo do Senhor! Meu coração e meu corpo vibram de emoção quando me aproximo do Deus vivo!
3Os pardais e andorinhas fazem seus ninhos para proteger seus filhotes, perto dos seus altares, ó Senhor dos Exércitos, meu Rei e meu Deus!
4Como são felizes as pessoas que frequentemente estão na sua casa, louvando o seu nome sem cessar!
5Como são felizes as pessoas que fazem do Senhor a sua força e resolvem em seu coração seguir os retos caminhos de Deus!
6Elas são capazes de transformar lugares secos em fontes de água, de transformar tristezas e sofrimentos em alegrias e bênçãos, em lugares cobertos de flores e frutos com as primeiras chuvas.
7Sempre que surge uma dificuldade, elas recebem a força de Deus, vão sempre ao templo em Sião para adorar o Senhor.
8Ó Senhor, Deus dos Exércitos, ouça a minha oração! Ouça, ó Deus de Jacó.
9Olhe, ó Deus, que é o nosso escudo, trate com bondade o seu ungido.
10Mais vale passar um dia no seu templo que viver mil dias em qualquer outro lugar. Prefiro ficar humildemente à entrada da casa do meu Deus a viver nas casas dos maus.
11Pois o Senhor Deus é o nosso sol e o nosso escudo. Ele nos dá a sua graça e a sua honra, e nunca deixa faltar coisa alguma aos que andam nos seus retos caminhos.
12Ó Senhor dos Exércitos, como são felizes aqueles que confiam no Senhor!

2Codicia y aun ardientemente desea mi alma los atrios de Jehová: mi corazón y mi carne cantan al Dios vivo.
3Aun el gorrión halla casa, y la golondrina nido para sí, donde ponga sus pollos en tus altares, oh Jehová de los ejércitos, rey mío, y Dios mío.
4Bienaventurados los que habitan en tu casa: perpetuamente te alabarán. (Selah.)
5Bienaventurado el hombre que tiene su fortaleza en ti; en cuyo corazón están tus caminos.
6Atravesando el valle de Baca pónenle por fuente, cuando la lluvia llena los estanques.
7Irán de fortaleza en fortaleza, verán á Dios en Sión.
8Jehová Dios de los ejércitos, oye mi oración: escucha, oh Dios de Jacob. (Selah.)
9Mira, oh Dios, escudo nuestro, y pon los ojos en el rostro de tu ungido.
10Porque mejor es un día en tus atrios que mil fuera de ellos: escogería antes estar á la puerta de la casa de mi Dios, que habitar en las moradas de maldad.
11Porque sol y escudo es Jehová Dios: gracia y gloria dará Jehová: no quitará el bien á los que en integridad andan.
12Jehová de los ejércitos, dichoso el hombre que en ti confía.

1How amiable are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts!
2My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.
3Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God.
4Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah.
5Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.
6Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.
7They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.
8O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.
9Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.
10For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
11For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
12O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.

1How lovely are your dwellings, LORD of Armies!
2My soul longs, and even faints for the courts of the LORD. My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.
3Yes, the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young, near your altars, LORD of Armies, my King, and my God.
4Blessed are those who dwell in your house. They are always praising you. Selah.
5Blessed are those whose strength is in you, who have set their hearts on a pilgrimage.
6Passing through the valley of Weeping, they make it a place of springs. Yes, the autumn rain covers it with blessings.
7They go from strength to strength. Every one of them appears before God in Zion.
8LORD, God of Armies, hear my prayer. Listen, God of Jacob. Selah.
9Behold, God our shield, look at the face of your anointed.
10For a day in your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
