1Cántico. Salmo de Asaf.
2Oh Dios, no permanezcas mudo; no estés sordo, oh Dios, ni te muestres pasivo.
3Mira el tumulto que hacen tus enemigos, y cómo los que te odian yerguen su cabeza.
4A tu pueblo le traman asechanzas; se confabulan contra los que Tú proteges.
5“Venid (dicen), borrémoslos; que ya no sean pueblo; no quede ni memoria del nombre de Israel.”
6Así conspiran todos a una y forman liga contra Ti:
7las tiendas de Edom y los ismaelitas, Moab y los agarenos,
8Gebal y Ammón y Amalec, Filistea y los habitantes de Tiro.
9También los asirios se les han unido, y se han hecho auxiliares de los hijos de Lot.
10Haz Tú con ellos como con Madián y con Sísara, y con Jabín, junto al torrente Cisón;
11que perecieron en Endor, y vinieron a ser como estiércol para la tierra.
12Trata a sus caudillos como a Oreb y a Zeb; a todos sus jefes, como a Zebee y a Salmaná,
13pues han dicho: “Ocupemos para nosotros las tierras de Dios.”
14Dios mío, hazlos como el polvo en un remolino y la hojarasca presa del viento.
15Como fuego que consume la selva, como llama que abrasa los montes,
16así persíguelos en tu tempestad, y atérralos en tu borrasca.
17Haz que sus rostros se cubran de vergüenza, para que busquen tu nombre ¡oh Dios!
18Queden para siempre en la ignominia y en la turbación; sean confundidos y perezcan.
19Y sepan que tu Nombre es Yahvé; y que solo Tú eres el Altísimo sobre toda la tierra.

1Salmo de Asaph. DIOS está en la reunión de los dioses; en medio de los dioses juzga.
2¿Hasta cuándo juzgaréis injustamente, y aceptaréis las personas de los impíos? (Selah.)
3Defended al pobre y al huérfano: haced justicia al afligido y al menesteroso.
4Librad al afligido y al necesitado: libradlo de mano de los impíos.
5No saben, no entienden, andan en tinieblas: vacilan todos los cimientos de la tierra.
6Yo dije: Vosotros sois dioses, é hijos todos vosotros del Altísimo.
7Empero como hombres moriréis, y caeréis como cualquiera de los tiranos.
8Levántate, oh Dios, juzga la tierra: porque tú heredarás en todas las gentes.

1God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.
2How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.
3Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.
4Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.
5They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.
6I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
7But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.
8Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.

1God presides in the great assembly. He judges among the gods.
2“How long will you judge unjustly, and show partiality to the wicked?” Selah.
3“Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless. Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed.
4Rescue the weak and needy. Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.”
5They don’t know, neither do they understand. They walk back and forth in darkness. All the foundations of the earth are shaken.
6I said, “You are gods, all of you are sons of the Most High.
7Nevertheless you shall die like men, and fall like one of the rulers.”
8Arise, God, judge the earth, for you inherit all of the nations.
