1Dem Vorsänger. Auf der Gittit. Von Asaph. (081-2) Jubelt Gott, der unsre Stärke ist, jauchzet dem Gott Jakobs!
2(081-3) Stimmt ein Lied an und nehmt die Pauke zur Hand, die liebliche Harfe mit dem Psalter!
3(081-4) Blaset am Neumond die Posaune, am Vollmond, unserm festlichen Tag!
4(081-5) Denn das ist Israels Pflicht; der Gott Jakobs hat ein Anrecht darauf.
5(081-6) Er verordnete es zum Zeugnis in Joseph, als er auszog wider Ägypten.
6(081-7) Eine Sprache, die ich nicht kannte, hörte ich: «Ich habe die Last von seiner Schulter genommen, seine Hände sind des Tragkorbes los geworden.
7(081-8) Da du mich anriefst in der Not, errettete ich dich; ich antwortete dir mit geheimnisvoller Donnerstimme und prüfte dich am Haderwasser. (Pause.)
8(081-9) Höre, mein Volk, ich will dich ermahnen; Israel, wenn du mir doch Gehör schenken wolltest!
9(081-10) Kein fremder Gott soll unter dir sein, und einen unbekannten Gott bete nicht an!
10(081-11) Ich bin der HERR, dein Gott, der dich aus Ägyptenland heraufgeführt hat. Tue deinen Mund weit auf, so will ich ihn füllen!
11(081-12) Aber mein Volk hat meiner Stimme nicht gehorcht, und Israel wollte nichts von mir.
12(081-13) Da überließ ich sie der Verstocktheit ihres Herzens, daß sie wandelten nach ihrem eigenen Rat.
13(081-14) Wollte mein Volk mir gehorchen und Israel in meinen Wegen wandeln,
14(081-15) wie leicht könnte ich ihre Feinde demütigen und meine Hand gegen ihre Widersacher wenden!
15(081-16) Die den HERRN hassen, müßten ihm schmeicheln; ihre Zeit aber würde ewiglich währen!
16(081-17) Und er würde sie mit dem besten Weizen speisen und mit Honig aus dem Felsen sättigen!»

2Tomad la canción, y tañed el adufe, el arpa deliciosa con el salterio.
3Tocad la trompeta en la nueva luna, en el día señalado, en el día de nuestra solemnidad.
4Porque estatuto es de Israel, ordenanza del Dios de Jacob.
5Por testimonio en José lo ha constituído, cuando salió por la tierra de Egipto; donde oí lenguaje que no entendía.
6Aparté su hombro de debajo de la carga; sus manos se quitaron de vasijas de barro.
7En la calamidad clamaste, y yo te libré: te respondí en el secreto del trueno; te probé sobre las aguas de Meriba. (Selah.)
8Oye, pueblo mío, y te protestaré. Israel, si me oyeres,
9No habrá en ti dios ajeno, ni te encorvarás á dios extraño.
10Yo soy Jehová tu Dios, que te hice subir de la tierra de Egipto: ensancha tu boca, y henchirla he.
11Mas mi pueblo no oyó mi voz, é Israel no me quiso á mí.
12Dejélos por tanto á la dureza de su corazón: caminaron en sus consejos.
13¡Oh, si me hubiera oído mi pueblo, si en mis caminos hubiera Israel andado!
14En una nada habría yo derribado sus enemigos, y vuelto mi mano sobre sus adversarios.
15Los aborrecedores de Jehová se le hubieran sometido; y el tiempo de ellos fuera para siempre.
16Y Dios lo hubiera mantenido de grosura de trigo: y de miel de la piedra te hubiera saciado.

1Sing aloud unto God our strength: make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob.
2Take a psalm, and bring hither the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery.
3Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.
4For this was a statute for Israel, and a law of the God of Jacob.
5This he ordained in Joseph for a testimony, when he went out through the land of Egypt: where I heard a language that I understood not.
6I removed his shoulder from the burden: his hands were delivered from the pots.
7Thou calledst in trouble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret place of thunder: I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. Selah.
8Hear, O my people, and I will testify unto thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken unto me;
9There shall no strange god be in thee; neither shalt thou worship any strange god.
10I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.
11But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me.
12So I gave them up unto their own hearts’ lust: and they walked in their own counsels.
13Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways!
14I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries.
15The haters of the LORD should have submitted themselves unto him: but their time should have endured for ever.
16He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee.
World English Bible
1Sing aloud to God, our strength! Make a joyful shout to the God of Jacob!
2Raise a song, and bring here the tambourine, the pleasant lyre with the harp.
3Blow the trumpet at the New Moon, at the full moon, on our feast day.
4For it is a statute for Israel, an ordinance of the God of Jacob.
5He appointed it in Joseph for a covenant, when he went out over the land of Egypt, I heard a language that I didn’t know.
6“I removed his shoulder from the burden. His hands were freed from the basket.
7You called in trouble, and I delivered you. I answered you in the secret place of thunder. I tested you at the waters of Meribah.” Selah.
8“Hear, my people, and I will testify to you, Israel, if you would listen to me!
9There shall be no strange god in you, neither shall you worship any foreign god.
10I am the LORD, your God, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.
11But my people didn’t listen to my voice. Israel desired none of me.
12So I let them go after the stubbornness of their hearts, that they might walk in their own counsels.
13Oh that my people would listen to me, that Israel would walk in my ways!
14I would soon subdue their enemies, and turn my hand against their adversaries.
15The haters of the LORD would cringe before him, and their punishment would last forever.
16But he would have also fed them with the finest of the wheat. I will satisfy you with honey out of the rock.”
