1Chantez avec allégresse à Dieu, notre force; jetez des cris de réjouissance au Dieu de Jacob!
2Entonnez le chant; faites résonner le tambourin, la harpe agréable avec la lyre.
3Sonnez de la trompette à la nouvelle lune, à la pleine lune, au jour de notre fête.
4Car c'est une loi pour Israël, une ordonnance du Dieu de Jacob.
5Il en fit un statut pour Joseph, quand il sortit contre le pays d'Égypte; là j'entendis un langage que je ne connaissais pas.
6J'ai déchargé, dit-il, son épaule du fardeau; ses mains ont lâché la corbeille.
7Tu as crié dans la détresse, et je t'ai délivré; je t'ai répondu, caché dans le tonnerre; je t'ai éprouvé aux eaux de Mériba. (Sélah.)
8Écoute, mon peuple, et je t'exhorterai; Israël, si tu m'écoutais!
9Qu'il n'y ait point chez toi de dieu étranger; ne te prosterne pas devant les dieux des nations!
10Je suis l'Éternel, ton Dieu, qui t'ai fait remonter du pays d'Égypte. Ouvre ta bouche, et je la remplirai.
11Mais mon peuple n'a pas écouté ma voix; Israël n'a pas voulu m'obéir.
12Et je les ai abandonnés à la dureté de leur cœur, pour marcher selon leurs conseils.
13Oh! si mon peuple voulait m'écouter, qu'Israël marchât dans mes voies!
14J'eusse en un instant fait ployer leurs ennemis, j'aurais tourné ma main contre leurs adversaires.
15Ceux qui haïssent l'Éternel eussent flatté Israël, et son temps heureux eût toujours duré.
16Dieu les eût nourris de la mœlle du froment. Je t'eusse rassasié du miel du rocher.

2Tomad la canción, y tañed el adufe, el arpa deliciosa con el salterio.
3Tocad la trompeta en la nueva luna, en el día señalado, en el día de nuestra solemnidad.
4Porque estatuto es de Israel, ordenanza del Dios de Jacob.
5Por testimonio en José lo ha constituído, cuando salió por la tierra de Egipto; donde oí lenguaje que no entendía.
6Aparté su hombro de debajo de la carga; sus manos se quitaron de vasijas de barro.
7En la calamidad clamaste, y yo te libré: te respondí en el secreto del trueno; te probé sobre las aguas de Meriba. (Selah.)
8Oye, pueblo mío, y te protestaré. Israel, si me oyeres,
9No habrá en ti dios ajeno, ni te encorvarás á dios extraño.
10Yo soy Jehová tu Dios, que te hice subir de la tierra de Egipto: ensancha tu boca, y henchirla he.
11Mas mi pueblo no oyó mi voz, é Israel no me quiso á mí.
12Dejélos por tanto á la dureza de su corazón: caminaron en sus consejos.
13¡Oh, si me hubiera oído mi pueblo, si en mis caminos hubiera Israel andado!
14En una nada habría yo derribado sus enemigos, y vuelto mi mano sobre sus adversarios.
15Los aborrecedores de Jehová se le hubieran sometido; y el tiempo de ellos fuera para siempre.
16Y Dios lo hubiera mantenido de grosura de trigo: y de miel de la piedra te hubiera saciado.

1Sing aloud unto God our strength: make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob.
2Take a psalm, and bring hither the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery.
3Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.
4For this was a statute for Israel, and a law of the God of Jacob.
5This he ordained in Joseph for a testimony, when he went out through the land of Egypt: where I heard a language that I understood not.
6I removed his shoulder from the burden: his hands were delivered from the pots.
7Thou calledst in trouble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret place of thunder: I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. Selah.
8Hear, O my people, and I will testify unto thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken unto me;
9There shall no strange god be in thee; neither shalt thou worship any strange god.
10I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.
11But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me.
12So I gave them up unto their own hearts’ lust: and they walked in their own counsels.
13Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways!
14I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries.
15The haters of the LORD should have submitted themselves unto him: but their time should have endured for ever.
16He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee.

1Sing aloud to God, our strength! Make a joyful shout to the God of Jacob!
2Raise a song, and bring here the tambourine, the pleasant lyre with the harp.
3Blow the trumpet at the New Moon, at the full moon, on our feast day.
4For it is a statute for Israel, an ordinance of the God of Jacob.
5He appointed it in Joseph for a covenant, when he went out over the land of Egypt, I heard a language that I didn’t know.
6“I removed his shoulder from the burden. His hands were freed from the basket.
7You called in trouble, and I delivered you. I answered you in the secret place of thunder. I tested you at the waters of Meribah.” Selah.
8“Hear, my people, and I will testify to you, Israel, if you would listen to me!
9There shall be no strange god in you, neither shall you worship any foreign god.
10I am the LORD, your God, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.
11But my people didn’t listen to my voice. Israel desired none of me.
12So I let them go after the stubbornness of their hearts, that they might walk in their own counsels.
13Oh that my people would listen to me, that Israel would walk in my ways!
14I would soon subdue their enemies, and turn my hand against their adversaries.
15The haters of the LORD would cringe before him, and their punishment would last forever.
16But he would have also fed them with the finest of the wheat. I will satisfy you with honey out of the rock.”
