1Psaume d’Asaph, donné au maître chantre, pour le chanter sur Guittith.
2Chantez gaiement à Dieu, qui est notre force ; jetez des cris de réjouissance en l’honneur du Dieu de Jacob.
3Entonnez le Cantique, prenez le tambour, la harpe agréable, et la musette.
4Sonnez la trompette en la nouvelle lune, en la solennité, pour le jour de notre fête.
5Car c’est un statut à Israël, une ordonnance du Dieu de Jacob.
6Il établit cela pour témoignage en Joseph, lorsqu’il sortit contre le pays d’Egypte, où j’ouïs un langage que je n’entendais pas.
7J’ai retiré, dit-il, ses épaules de dessous la charge, et ses mains ont été retirées arrière des pots.
8Tu as crié étant en détresse, et je t’en ai retiré ; je t’ai répondu du milieu de la nue où gronde le tonnerre ; je t’ai éprouvé auprès des eaux de Mériba ; Sélah.
9Ecoute mon peuple, je te sommerai ; Israël ô si tu m’écoutais !
10Il n’y aura point au milieu de toi de dieu étranger, et tu ne te prosterneras point devant les dieux des étrangers.
11Je suis l’Eternel ton Dieu, qui t’ai fait monter hors du pays d’Egypte ; dilate ta bouche, et je l’emplirai.
12Mais mon peuple n’a point écouté ma voix, et Israël ne m’a point eu à gré.
13C’est pourquoi je les ai abandonnés à la dureté de leur coeur, et ils ont marché selon leurs conseils.
14Ô si mon peuple m’eût écouté ! si Israël eût marché dans mes voies !
15J’eusse en un instant abattu leurs ennemis, et j’eusse tourné ma main contre leurs adversaires.
16Ceux qui haïssent l’Eternel lui auraient menti, et le temps de mon peuple eût été à toujours.
17Et Dieu l’eût nourri de la moelle du froment ; et je t’eusse, dit-il, rassasié du miel qui distille de la roche.

2Tomad la canción, y tañed el adufe, el arpa deliciosa con el salterio.
3Tocad la trompeta en la nueva luna, en el día señalado, en el día de nuestra solemnidad.
4Porque estatuto es de Israel, ordenanza del Dios de Jacob.
5Por testimonio en José lo ha constituído, cuando salió por la tierra de Egipto; donde oí lenguaje que no entendía.
6Aparté su hombro de debajo de la carga; sus manos se quitaron de vasijas de barro.
7En la calamidad clamaste, y yo te libré: te respondí en el secreto del trueno; te probé sobre las aguas de Meriba. (Selah.)
8Oye, pueblo mío, y te protestaré. Israel, si me oyeres,
9No habrá en ti dios ajeno, ni te encorvarás á dios extraño.
10Yo soy Jehová tu Dios, que te hice subir de la tierra de Egipto: ensancha tu boca, y henchirla he.
11Mas mi pueblo no oyó mi voz, é Israel no me quiso á mí.
12Dejélos por tanto á la dureza de su corazón: caminaron en sus consejos.
13¡Oh, si me hubiera oído mi pueblo, si en mis caminos hubiera Israel andado!
14En una nada habría yo derribado sus enemigos, y vuelto mi mano sobre sus adversarios.
15Los aborrecedores de Jehová se le hubieran sometido; y el tiempo de ellos fuera para siempre.
16Y Dios lo hubiera mantenido de grosura de trigo: y de miel de la piedra te hubiera saciado.

1Sing aloud unto God our strength: make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob.
2Take a psalm, and bring hither the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery.
3Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.
4For this was a statute for Israel, and a law of the God of Jacob.
5This he ordained in Joseph for a testimony, when he went out through the land of Egypt: where I heard a language that I understood not.
6I removed his shoulder from the burden: his hands were delivered from the pots.
7Thou calledst in trouble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret place of thunder: I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. Selah.
8Hear, O my people, and I will testify unto thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken unto me;
9There shall no strange god be in thee; neither shalt thou worship any strange god.
10I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.
11But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me.
12So I gave them up unto their own hearts’ lust: and they walked in their own counsels.
13Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways!
14I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries.
15The haters of the LORD should have submitted themselves unto him: but their time should have endured for ever.
16He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee.

1Sing aloud to God, our strength! Make a joyful shout to the God of Jacob!
2Raise a song, and bring here the tambourine, the pleasant lyre with the harp.
3Blow the trumpet at the New Moon, at the full moon, on our feast day.
4For it is a statute for Israel, an ordinance of the God of Jacob.
5He appointed it in Joseph for a covenant, when he went out over the land of Egypt, I heard a language that I didn’t know.
6“I removed his shoulder from the burden. His hands were freed from the basket.
7You called in trouble, and I delivered you. I answered you in the secret place of thunder. I tested you at the waters of Meribah.” Selah.
8“Hear, my people, and I will testify to you, Israel, if you would listen to me!
9There shall be no strange god in you, neither shall you worship any foreign god.
10I am the LORD, your God, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.
11But my people didn’t listen to my voice. Israel desired none of me.
12So I let them go after the stubbornness of their hearts, that they might walk in their own counsels.
13Oh that my people would listen to me, that Israel would walk in my ways!
14I would soon subdue their enemies, and turn my hand against their adversaries.
15The haters of the LORD would cringe before him, and their punishment would last forever.
16But he would have also fed them with the finest of the wheat. I will satisfy you with honey out of the rock.”
