1Dem Musikmeister, mit Saitenspiel. Ein Psalm Asaphs. Ein Lied.
2Gott ist in Juda bekannt, in Israel ist sein Name groß.
3Ist doch in Salem seine Hütte, und seine Wohnung auf Zion.
4Dort zerbrach er die Blitze des Bogens, Schild und Schwert und Streit. Sela.
5Furchtbar bist du, herrlich, von den ewigen Bergen her.
6Ausgeplündert wurden, die starkes Mutes waren; sie sanken in Schlaf, und allen Tapferen versagten ihre Hände.
7Von deinem Schelten, Gott Jakobs, wurden so Wagen als Roß in tiefen Schlaf versenkt.
8Du bist furchtbar, und wer kann vor deinem Angesicht bestehn, sobald du zürnst?
9Vom Himmel ließest du das Urteil vernehmen; da erschrak die Erde und ward still,
10als Gott sich zum Gericht erhob, um allen Gebeugten auf Erden zu helfen. Sela.
11Denn der Grimm der Menschen preist dich; mit dem Überreste der Ausbrüche des Grimms gürtest du dich.
12Gelobt und bezahlt Gelübde Jahwe, eurem Gott! Alle um ihn her müssen dem Furchtbaren Gaben bringen,
13der Fürsten des Mutes beraubt und den Königen auf Erden furchtbar ist.

4Ilustre eres tú; fuerte, más que los montes de caza.
5Los fuertes de corazón fueron despojados, durmieron su sueño; y nada hallaron en sus manos todos los varones fuertes.
6A tu reprensión, oh Dios de Jacob, el carro y el caballo fueron entorpecidos.
7Tú, terrible eres tú: ¿y quién parará delante de ti, en comenzando tu ira?
8Desde los cielos hiciste oir juicio; la tierra tuvo temor y quedó suspensa,
9Cuando te levantaste, oh Dios, al juicio, para salvar á todos los mansos de la tierra. (Selah.)
10Ciertamente la ira del hombre te acarreará alabanza: tú reprimirás el resto de las iras.
11Prometed, y pagad á Jehová vuestro Dios: todos los que están alrededor de él, traigan presentes al Terrible.
12Cortará él el espíritu de los príncipes: terrible es á los reyes de la tierra.

1In Judah is God known: his name is great in Israel.
2In Salem also is his tabernacle, and his dwelling place in Zion.
3There brake he the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah.
4Thou art more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey.
5The stouthearted are spoiled, they have slept their sleep: and none of the men of might have found their hands.
6At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.
7Thou, even thou, art to be feared: and who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry?
8Thou didst cause judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still,
9When God arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah.
10Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain.
11Vow, and pay unto the LORD your God: let all that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared.
12He shall cut off the spirit of princes: he is terrible to the kings of the earth.

1In Judah, God is known. His name is great in Israel.
2His tabernacle is also in Salem. His dwelling place in Zion.
3There he broke the flaming arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the weapons of war. Selah.
4Glorious are you, and excellent, more than mountains of game.
5Valiant men lie plundered, they have slept their last sleep. None of the men of war can lift their hands.
6At your rebuke, God of Jacob, both chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.
7You, even you, are to be feared. Who can stand in your sight when you are angry?
8You pronounced judgment from heaven. The earth feared, and was silent,
9when God arose to judgment, to save all the afflicted ones of the earth. Selah.
10Surely the wrath of man praises you. The survivors of your wrath are restrained.
11Make vows to the LORD your God, and fulfill them! Let all of his neighbors bring presents to him who is to be feared.
12He will cut off the spirit of princes. He is feared by the kings of the earth.
