1Al maestro de coro. A Iditún. Salmo de Asaf.
2Mi voz sube hacia Dios y clama; mi voz va hasta Dios para que me oiga.
3En el día de mi angustia busco al Señor; de noche, mis manos se extienden sin descanso, y mi alma rehúsa el consuelo.
4Si pienso en Dios tengo que gemir; si cavilo, mi espíritu desfallece.
5Tú mantienes insomnes mis ojos; estoy perturbado, incapaz de hablar.
6Pienso en los días antiguos y considero los años eternos.
7Por la noche medito en mi corazón, reflexiono y mi espíritu inquiere:
8¿Es que nos desechará el Señor por todos los siglos? ¿No volverá a sernos favorable?
9¿Se habrá agotado para siempre su bondad? ¿Será vana su promesa hecha para todas las generaciones?
10¿Se habrá olvidado Dios de su clemencia? o ¿en su ira habrá contenido su misericordia?
11Y dije: “Este es mi dolor: que la diestra del Altísimo haya cambiado.”
12Recordaré los hechos de Yahvé; sí, me acuerdo de tus antiguas maravillas;
13medito todas tus obras y peso tus hazañas.
14Santo es tu camino, oh Dios, ¿Qué Dios hay tan grande como el Dios nuestro?
15Tú eres el Dios que obra prodigios, y has dado a conocer a los pueblos tu poder.
16Redimiste con tu brazo a tu pueblo, a los hijos de Jacob y de José.
17Las aguas te vieron, oh Dios, te vieron las aguas, y temblaron; hasta los abismos se estremecieron.
18Aguas derramaron las nubes, los cielos hicieron oír su voz, y volaron tus dardos.
19Tu trueno sonó en el torbellino, los relámpagos iluminaron el mundo; se conmovió y tembló la tierra.
20Tu camino se abrió a través del mar, y tus sendas sobre inmensas aguas, sin que aparecieran las huellas de tus pisadas.
21Y Tú mismo guiaste a tu pueblo como un rebaño, por mano de Moisés y de Aarón.

2Y en Salem está su tabernáculo, y su habitación en Sión.
3Allí quebró las saetas del arco, el escudo, y la espada, y tren de guerra. (Selah.)
4Ilustre eres tú; fuerte, más que los montes de caza.
5Los fuertes de corazón fueron despojados, durmieron su sueño; y nada hallaron en sus manos todos los varones fuertes.
6A tu reprensión, oh Dios de Jacob, el carro y el caballo fueron entorpecidos.
7Tú, terrible eres tú: ¿y quién parará delante de ti, en comenzando tu ira?
8Desde los cielos hiciste oir juicio; la tierra tuvo temor y quedó suspensa,
9Cuando te levantaste, oh Dios, al juicio, para salvar á todos los mansos de la tierra. (Selah.)
10Ciertamente la ira del hombre te acarreará alabanza: tú reprimirás el resto de las iras.
11Prometed, y pagad á Jehová vuestro Dios: todos los que están alrededor de él, traigan presentes al Terrible.
12Cortará él el espíritu de los príncipes: terrible es á los reyes de la tierra.

1In Judah is God known: his name is great in Israel.
2In Salem also is his tabernacle, and his dwelling place in Zion.
3There brake he the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah.
4Thou art more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey.
5The stouthearted are spoiled, they have slept their sleep: and none of the men of might have found their hands.
6At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.
7Thou, even thou, art to be feared: and who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry?
8Thou didst cause judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still,
9When God arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah.
10Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain.
11Vow, and pay unto the LORD your God: let all that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared.
12He shall cut off the spirit of princes: he is terrible to the kings of the earth.

1In Judah, God is known. His name is great in Israel.

3There he broke the flaming arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the weapons of war. Selah.
4Glorious are you, and excellent, more than mountains of game.
5Valiant men lie plundered, they have slept their last sleep. None of the men of war can lift their hands.
6At your rebuke, God of Jacob, both chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.
7You, even you, are to be feared. Who can stand in your sight when you are angry?
8You pronounced judgment from heaven. The earth feared, and was silent,
9when God arose to judgment, to save all the afflicted ones of the earth. Selah.
10Surely the wrath of man praises you. The survivors of your wrath are restrained.
11Make vows to the LORD your God, and fulfill them! Let all of his neighbors bring presents to him who is to be feared.
12He will cut off the spirit of princes. He is feared by the kings of the earth.
