Ciertamente Dios es bueno con Israel, con aquellos de un corazón puro.
Salmo de Asaph. CIERTAMENTE bueno es Dios á Israel, á los limpios de corazón.
Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.
Surely God is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart.
Pero en cuanto a mí, mis pies por poco resbalan; mis pies por poco se resbalaron de debajo de mí
Mas yo, casi se deslizaron mis pies; por poco resbalaron mis pasos.

porque yo tuve envidia de los arrogantes cuando yo vi la prosperidad de los malvados.

Porque ellos no tienen ningún dolor hasta su muerte, sino que están fuertes y bien alimentados.

For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm.

Están libres de las cargas de otros hombres; no están afligidos como otros hombres.
No están ellos en el trabajo humano; ni son azotados con los otros hombres.
They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men.
They are free from burdens of men, neither are they plagued like other men.
El orgullo los adorna como un collar alrededor de su cuello; la violencia los viste como una túnica.
Por tanto soberbia los corona: cúbrense de vestido de violencia.
Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment.
Therefore pride is like a chain around their neck. Violence covers them like a garment.
De tal ceguera viene el pecado; pensamientos malvados pasan a través de sus corazones.
Sus ojos están salidos de gruesos: logran con creces los antojos del corazón.
Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.
Their eyes bulge with fat. Their minds pass the limits of conceit.
Ellos se burlan y hablan maliciosamente; en su arrogancia ellos amenazan con la opresión.
Soltáronse, y hablan con maldad de hacer violencia; hablan con altanería.
They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily.
They scoff and speak with malice. In arrogance, they threaten oppression.
Dirigen sus bocas contra los cielos, y sus lenguas pasean a través de la tierra.
Ponen en el cielo su boca, y su lengua pasea la tierra.
They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.
They have set their mouth in the heavens. Their tongue walks through the earth.
Por lo tanto, Su pueblo se vuelve a ellos y abundantes aguas les son suplidas.
Por eso su pueblo vuelve aquí, y aguas de lleno les son exprimidas.
Therefore his people return hither: and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them.
Therefore their people return to them, and they drink up waters of abundance.
Ellos dicen: "¿Cómo Dios lo sabe? ¿Hay conocimiento con el Altísimo?"
Y dicen: ¿Cómo sabe Dios? ¿y hay conocimiento en lo alto?
And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?
They say, “How does God know? Is there knowledge in the Most High?”
Tomen nota: estas personas son malvadas; siempre están despreocupadas, haciéndose más y más ricas.
He aquí estos impíos, sin ser turbados del mundo, alcanzaron riquezas.
Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches.
Behold, these are the wicked. Being always at ease, they increase in riches.
Seguramente es en vano que yo haya guardado mi corazón y lavado mis manos en inocencia.
Verdaderamente en vano he limpiado mi corazón, y lavado mis manos en inocencia;
Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocency.

Pues todo el día he sido afligido y disciplinado cada mañana.

For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning.

Si yo hubiera dicho: "Yo diré estas cosas," entonces yo habría traicionado a la generación de Tus hijos.
Si dijera yo, Discurriré de esa suerte; he aquí habría negado la nación de tus hijos:
If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend against the generation of thy children.
If I had said, “I will speak thus”, behold, I would have betrayed the generation of your children.
Aunque yo traté de entender estas cosas, fue demasiado difícil para mí.
Pensaré pues para saber esto: es á mis ojos duro trabajo,
When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me;
When I tried to understand this, it was too painful for me—
Entonces yo fui al santuario de Dios y pude entender su destino.
Hasta que venido al santuario de Dios, entenderé la postrimería de ellos.
Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.
until I entered God’s sanctuary, and considered their latter end.
Seguramente Tú los pones en lugares resbaladizos; Tú los arrojas a la ruina.
Ciertamente los has puesto en deslizaderos; en asolamientos los harás caer.
Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction.
Surely you set them in slippery places. You throw them down to destruction.
¡Cómo se convierten en desierto en un instante! Llegan a su fin y terminan en terrores espantosos.
¡Cómo han sido asolados! ¡cuán en un punto! Acabáronse, fenecieron con turbaciones.
How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors.
How they are suddenly destroyed! They are completely swept away with terrors.
Ellos son como un sueño después que uno despierta; Señor, cuando Tú te levantes, Tú no pensarás nada de esos sueños.
Como sueño del que despierta, así, Señor, cuando despertares, menospreciarás sus apariencias.
As a dream when one awaketh; so, O Lord, when thou awakest, thou shalt despise their image.
As a dream when one wakes up, so, Lord, when you awake, you will despise their fantasies.
Pues mi corazón estaba atribulado, y yo estaba profundamente herido.
Desazonóse á la verdad mi corazón, y en mis riñones sentía punzadas.
Thus my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins.

¿A quién tengo yo en el cielo sino a Ti? No hay nadie en la tierra que yo deseo sino a Ti.
¿A quién tengo yo en los cielos? Y fuera de ti nada deseo en la tierra.
Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.
Whom do I have in heaven? There is no one on earth whom I desire besides you.
Mi carne y mi corazón se debilitan, pero Dios es la fuerza de mi corazón para siempre.

My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.

Aquellos que están lejos de Ti perecerán; Tú destruirás a todos aquellos que sean infieles a Ti.
Porque he aquí, los que se alejan de ti perecerán: tú cortarás á todo aquel que fornicando, de ti se aparta.
For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee.
For, behold, those who are far from you shall perish. You have destroyed all those who are unfaithful to you.
Pero en cuanto a mí, todo lo que necesito hacer es acercarme a Dios. Yo he hecho del SEÑOR mi refugio. Yo declararé todas Tus obras.
Y en cuanto á mí, el acercarme á Dios es el bien: he puesto en el Señor Jehová mi esperanza, para contar todas tus obras.
But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.
But it is good for me to come close to God. I have made the Lord GOD my refuge, that I may tell of all your works.
