Salmos 69
Brenton's English Septuagint
1For the end, a Psalm of David, for See Ps 44, title alternate strains. - Save me, O God; for the waters have come in to my soul.
2I am stuck fast in deep mire, and there is no standing: I am come in to the depths of the sea, and a storm has overwhelmed me.
3I am weary of crying, my throat has become hoarse; mine eyes have failed by my waiting on my God.
4They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head: my enemies that persecute me unrighteously are strengthened: then I Or, paid for, or, made up for restored that which I took not away.
5O God, thou knowest my foolishness; and my transgressions are not hidden from thee.
6Let not them that wait on thee, O Lord of hosts, be ashamed on my account: let not them that seek thee, be ashamed on my account, O God of Israel.
7For I have suffered reproach for thy sake; shame has covered my face.
8I became strange to my brethren, and a stranger to my mother’s children.
9Joh 2:17; Ro 15:8 For the zeal of thine house has eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.
10And I bowed down my soul with fasting, and that was made my reproach.
11And I put on sackcloth for my covering; and I became a proverb to them.
12They that sit in the gate talked against me, and they that drank wine sang against me.
13But I will cry to thee, O Lord, in my prayer; O God, it is a propitious time: in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.
14Save me from the mire, that I stick not in it: let me be delivered from them that hate me, and from the deep waters.
15Let not the waterflood drown me, nor let the deep swallow me up; neither let the well shut its mouth upon me.
16Hear me, O Lord; for thy mercy is good: according to the multitude of thy compassions look upon me.
17And turn not away thy face from thy Or, son servant; for I am afflicted: hear me speedily.
18Draw nigh to my soul and redeem it: deliver me because of mine enemies.
19For thou knowest my reproach, and my shame, and my confusion; all that afflict me are before thee.
20My soul has waited for reproach and misery; and I waited for one to grieve with me, but there was none; and for one to comfort me, but I found none.
21They gave me also gall for my food, and made me drink vinegar for my thirst.
22Ro 11:9, 10 Let their table before them be for a snare, and for a recompense, and for a stumbling-block.
23Let their eyes be darkened that they should not see; and bow down their back continually.
24Pour out thy wrath upon them, and let the fury of thine anger take hold on them.
25Ac 1:20 Let their habitation be made desolate; and let there be no inhabitant in their tents:
26Because they persecuted him whom thou hast smitten; and they have added to the grief of my wounds.
27Add iniquity to their iniquity; and let them not come into thy righteousness.
28Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and let them not be written with the righteous.
29I am poor and sorrowful; but the salvation of thy countenance has helped me.
30I will praise the name of my God with a song, I will magnify him with praise;
31and this shall please God more than a young calf having horns and hoofs.
32Let the poor see and rejoice; seek the Lord diligently, and ye shall live.
33For the Lord hears the poor, and does not set at nought his fettered ones.
34Let the heavens and the earth praise him, the sea, and all things moving in them.
35For God will save Sion, and the cities of Judea shall be built; and men shall dwell there, and inherit it.
36And the seed of his servants shall possess it, and they that love his name shall dwell therein.

29Y yo afligido y dolorido, tu salud, oh Dios, me defenderá.

31This also shall please the LORD better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs.
32The humble shall see this, and be glad: and your heart shall live that seek God.

34Let the heaven and earth praise him, the seas, and every thing that moveth therein.
35For God will save Zion, and will build the cities of Judah: that they may dwell there, and have it in possession.
36The seed also of his servants shall inherit it: and they that love his name shall dwell therein.

3I am weary with my crying. My throat is dry. My eyes fail looking for my God.
4Those who hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head. Those who want to cut me off, being my enemies wrongfully, are mighty. I have to restore what I didn’t take away.
5God, you know my foolishness. My sins aren’t hidden from you.

9For the zeal of your house consumes me. The reproaches of those who reproach you have fallen on me.
10When I wept and I fasted, that was to my reproach.
11When I made sackcloth my clothing, I became a byword to them.
12Those who sit in the gate talk about me. I am the song of the drunkards.
13But as for me, my prayer is to you, LORD, in an acceptable time. God, in the abundance of your loving kindness, answer me in the truth of your salvation.
14Deliver me out of the mire, and don’t let me sink. Let me be delivered from those who hate me, and out of the deep waters.

18Draw near to my soul and redeem it. Ransom me because of my enemies.
19You know my reproach, my shame, and my dishonor. My adversaries are all before you.
20Reproach has broken my heart, and I am full of heaviness. I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; for comforters, but I found none.

22Let their table before them become a snare. May it become a retribution and a trap.
23Let their eyes be darkened, so that they can’t see. Let their backs be continually bent.
24Pour out your indignation on them. Let the fierceness of your anger overtake them.
25Let their habitation be desolate. Let no one dwell in their tents.
26For they persecute him whom you have wounded. They tell of the sorrow of those whom you have hurt.
27Charge them with crime upon crime. Don’t let them come into your righteousness.
28Let them be blotted out of the book of life, and not be written with the righteous.
29But I am in pain and distress. Let your salvation, God, protect me.
30I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.
31It will please the LORD better than an ox, or a bull that has horns and hoofs.
32The humble have seen it, and are glad. You who seek after God, let your heart live.
33For the LORD hears the needy, and doesn’t despise his captive people.
34Let heaven and earth praise him; the seas, and everything that moves therein!
35For God will save Zion, and build the cities of Judah. They shall settle there, and own it.
