Salmos 62

Rotherham Emphasized Bible (1902)

1Surely, towards God, silence becometh my soul, From him, is my salvation:

2Surely, he, is my rock and my salvation, My high tower—I shall not be greatly shaken!

3How long will ye shout at a man? Ye shall be crushed all of you,—Like a wall that bulgeth,—a fence pushed in!

4Surely, from his elevation, they have taken counsel to thrust him down, They accept falsehood,—With his mouth, they each of them bless, But, inwardly, they revile. Selah.

5Surely, towards God, be thou silent, my soul, For, from him, is mine expectation:

6Surely, he, is my rock, and my salvation, My high tower—I shall not be shaken!

7Upon God, depend my salvation and mine honour, My rock of strength, my refuge, are in God.

8Trust ye in him all ye assembly of the people, Pour out, before him, your heart, God, is a refuge for us. Selah.

9Surely, vanity, are men of low degree, Deception, men of high degree,—In the balances, they go up, They, are made of vanity, altogether.

10Do not trust in extortion, Nor, with robbery, become vain, As for wealth, when it beareth fruit, Do not set thereon your heart.

11One thing, hath God spoken, Two things, there are which I have heard, That, power, belongeth unto God;

12And, thine, O My Lord, is lovingkindness,—For, thou, wilt pay back unto every man—according to his deed.

King James Version

1Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.

2He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.

3How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall shall ye be, and as a tottering fence.

4They only consult to cast him down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.

5My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.

6He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved.

7In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.

8Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.

9Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: to be laid in the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity.

10Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart upon them.

11God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God.

12Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work.

World English Bible

1My soul rests in God alone. My salvation is from him.

2He alone is my rock, my salvation, and my fortress. I will never be greatly shaken.

3How long will you assault a man? Would all of you throw him down, like a leaning wall, like a tottering fence?

4They fully intend to throw him down from his lofty place. They delight in lies. They bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.

5My soul, wait in silence for God alone, for my expectation is from him.

6He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress. I will not be shaken.

7My salvation and my honor is with God. The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.

8Trust in him at all times, you people. Pour out your heart before him. God is a refuge for us. Selah.

9Surely men of low degree are just a breath, and men of high degree are a lie. In the balances they will go up. They are together lighter than a breath.

10Don’t trust in oppression. Don’t become vain in robbery. If riches increase, don’t set your heart on them.

11God has spoken once; twice I have heard this, that power belongs to God.

12Also to you, Lord, belongs loving kindness, for you reward every man according to his work.
