Salmos 60

Bible in Basic English

1God, you have put us away from you, you have sent us in all directions, you have been angry; O be turned to us again.

2By the power of your hand the earth is shaking and broken; make it strong again, for it is moved.

3You have made the people see hard times; you have given us the wine of shaking for our drink.

4Give a safe place to those who have fear of you, where they may go in flight from before the bow. (Selah.)

5So that your loved ones may be made safe, let your right hand be my salvation, and give me an answer.

6God has said in his holy place, I will be glad: I will make a division of Shechem, and the valley of Succoth will be measured out.

7Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; and Ephraim is the strength of my head; Judah is my law-giver;

8Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I put out my shoe; over Philistia will a glad cry be sounded.

9Who will take me into the strong town? who will be my guide into Edom?

10Have not you put us away, O God? and you have not gone out with our armies.

11Give us help in our trouble; for there is no help in man.

12Through God we will do great things, for through him our haters will be crushed under our feet.

Reina-Valera 1909

1Al Músico principal: sobre Susan-Heduth: Michtam de David, para enseñar, cuando tuvo guerra contra Aram-Naharaim y contra Aram de Soba, y volvió Joab, é hirió de Edom en el valle de las Salinas doce mil. OH Dios, tú nos has desechado, nos disipaste; te has airado: vuélvete á nosotros.

7Mío es Galaad, y mío es Manasés; y Ephraim es la fortaleza de mi cabeza; Judá, mi legislador;

King James Version

1O God, thou hast cast us off, thou hast scattered us, thou hast been displeased; O turn thyself to us again.

2Thou hast made the earth to tremble; thou hast broken it: heal the breaches thereof; for it shaketh.

3Thou hast shewed thy people hard things: thou hast made us to drink the wine of astonishment.

4Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah.

5That thy beloved may be delivered; save with thy right hand, and hear me.

6God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.

7Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver;

8Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe: Philistia, triumph thou because of me.

9Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?

10Wilt not thou, O God, which hadst cast us off? and thou, O God, which didst not go out with our armies?

11Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.

12Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

World English Bible

1God, you have rejected us. You have broken us down. You have been angry. Restore us, again.

2You have made the land tremble. You have torn it. Mend its fractures, for it quakes.

3You have shown your people hard things. You have made us drink the wine that makes us stagger.

4You have given a banner to those who fear you, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah.

5So that your beloved may be delivered, save with your right hand, and answer us.

6God has spoken from his sanctuary: “I will triumph. I will divide Shechem, and measure out the valley of Succoth.

7Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine. Ephraim also is the defense of my head. Judah is my scepter.

8Moab is my wash basin. I will throw my sandal on Edom. I shout in triumph over Philistia.”

9Who will bring me into the strong city? Who has led me to Edom?

10Haven’t you, God, rejected us? You don’t go out with our armies, God.

11Give us help against the adversary, for the help of man is vain.

12Through God we will do valiantly, for it is he who will tread down our adversaries.
