1Al maestro de coro. Por el tono de “No destruyas”. De David. Miktam. Cuando Saúl mandó hombres que vigilaran la casa para matarlo.
2Dios mío, sálvame de mis enemigos; defiéndeme de los que me atacan.
3Líbrame de los que obran iniquidades y protégeme contra los hombres sanguinarios.
4Mira: ponen asechanzas a mi vida, y hombres poderosos conspiran contra mí. No hay en mí delito ni pecado, Yahvé.
5Sin culpa mía irrumpen y me asaltan. Despierta Tú, ven a mí y mira.
6Porque Tú, Yahvé, Dios de los ejércitos, eres el Dios de Israel. Levántate a castigar a todos los gentiles; no te apiades de ninguno de los pérfidos.
7Vuelven al anochecer, aullando como perros, y giran en torno de la ciudad.
8Mira la jactancia en su boca, y cómo injurian sus labios:.. “¿Quién hay que (nos) oiga?”
9Mas Tú, Yahvé te ríes de ellos; harás befa de todos los gentiles.
10Oh fortaleza mía, a Ti cantaré. Verdaderamente mi alcázar es Dios.
11La misericordia de mi Dios se me anticipará y me hará mirar con alegría a mis enemigos.
12No les des tregua, oh Dios; no sean tropiezo para mi pueblo. Confúndelos con tu poder y póstralos, oh Señor, escudo nuestro.
13Pecado de su boca es cuanto profieren sus labios; sean presa de su propia soberbia, de sus maldiciones y de sus mentiras.
14Destrúyelos en tu saña, destrúyelos hasta que ya no existan; entonces se sabrá que Dios reina en Jacob y hasta los confines del orbe.
15Vuelvan al anochecer, aullando como perros, y giren en torno de la ciudad;
16vaguen buscando qué comer, y si no se sacian, den aullidos.
17Entretanto, yo cantaré tu potencia, y desde la mañana saltaré de gozo por tu misericordia; porque fuiste mi protector, y mi refugio en el día de la tribulación.
18Oh fortaleza mía, a Ti cantaré. Verdaderamente mi alcázar es Dios, el Dios misericordiosísimo conmigo.

1Al Músico principal: sobre No destruyas: Michtam de David. OH congregación, ¿pronunciáis en verdad justicia? ¿juzgáis rectamente, hijos de los hombres?
2Antes con el corazón obráis iniquidades: hacéis pesar la violencia de vuestras manos en la tierra.
3Enajenáronse los impíos desde la matriz; descarriáronse desde el vientre, hablando mentira.
4Veneno tienen semejante al veneno de la serpiente: son como áspide sordo que cierra su oído;
5Que no oye la voz de los que encantan, por más hábil que el encantador sea.
6Oh Dios, quiebra sus dientes en sus bocas: quiebra, oh Jehová, las muelas de los leoncillos.
7Córranse como aguas que se van de suyo: en entesando sus saetas, luego sean hechas pedazos.
8Pasen ellos como el caracol que se deslíe: como el abortivo de mujer, no vean el sol.
9Antes que vuestras ollas sientan las espinas, así vivos, así airados, los arrebatará él con tempestad.
10Alegraráse el justo cuando viere la venganza: sus pies lavará en la sangre del impío.
11Entonces dirá el hombre: Ciertamente hay fruto para el justo; ciertamente hay Dios que juzga en la tierra.

1Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?
2Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth.
3The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.
4Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear;
5Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely.
6Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O LORD.
7Let them melt away as waters which run continually: when he bendeth his bow to shoot his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces.
8As a snail which melteth, let every one of them pass away: like the untimely birth of a woman, that they may not see the sun.
9Before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in his wrath.
10The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.
11So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth.

World English Bible
1Do you indeed speak righteousness, silent ones? Do you judge blamelessly, you sons of men?
2No, in your heart you plot injustice. You measure out the violence of your hands in the earth.
3The wicked go astray from the womb. They are wayward as soon as they are born, speaking lies.
4Their poison is like the poison of a snake, like a deaf cobra that stops its ear,
5which doesn’t listen to the voice of charmers, no matter how skillful the charmer may be.
6Break their teeth, God, in their mouth. Break out the great teeth of the young lions, LORD.
7Let them vanish like water that flows away. When they draw the bow, let their arrows be made blunt.
8Let them be like a snail which melts and passes away, like the stillborn child, who has not seen the sun.
9Before your pots can feel the heat of the thorns, he will sweep away the green and the burning alike.
10The righteous shall rejoice when he sees the vengeance. He shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked,
11so that men shall say, “Most certainly there is a reward for the righteous. Most certainly there is a God who judges the earth.”
