2Die Toren sprechen in ihrem Herzen:</title> »Es gibt keinen Gott«; verderbt ist ihr Tun, abscheulich ihr Freveln: da ist keiner, der Gutes täte.
3Gott schaut hernieder vom Himmel aus nach den Menschenkindern, um zu sehn, ob da sei ein Verständiger, einer, der nach Gott fragt.
4Doch alle sind sie abgefallen, insgesamt entartet; da ist keiner, der Gutes tut, auch nicht einer.
5Haben denn keinen Verstand die Übeltäter, die mein Volk verzehren? Die Gottes Brot wohl essen, doch ohne ihn anzurufen?
6Damals gerieten sie in Angst und Schrecken, ohne daß Grund zum Erschrecken war; denn Gott zerstreute die Gebeine deiner Belagerer; du machtest sie zuschanden, denn Gott hatte sie verworfen.
7Ach, daß doch aus Zion die Rettung Israels käme! Wenn Gott einst wendet das Schicksal seines Volkes, wird Jakob jubeln, Israel sich freuen!

2Dios desde los cielos miró sobre los hijos de los hombres, por ver si hay algún entendido que busque á Dios.
3Cada uno se había vuelto atrás; todos se habían corrompido: no hay quien haga bien, no hay ni aun uno.
4¿No tienen conocimiento todos esos que obran iniquidad? que comen á mi pueblo como si comiesen pan: á Dios no han invocado.
5Allí se sobresaltaron de pavor donde no había miedo: porque Dios ha esparcido los huesos del que asentó campo contra ti: los avergonzaste, porque Dios los desechó.
6¡Oh quién diese de Sión saludes á Israel! En volviendo Dios la cautividad de su pueblo, gozarse ha Jacob, y alegraráse Israel.

1The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.
2God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.
3Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
4Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God.
5There were they in great fear, where no fear was: for God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee: thou hast put them to shame, because God hath despised them.
6Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When God bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

1The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and have done abominable iniquity. There is no one who does good.
2God looks down from heaven on the children of men, to see if there are any who understood, who seek after God.
3Every one of them has gone back. They have become filthy together. There is no one who does good, no, not one.
4Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread, and don’t call on God?
5There they were in great fear, where no fear was, for God has scattered the bones of him who encamps against you. You have put them to shame, because God has rejected them.
