1Auf den Siegesspender, ein Lehrgedicht von David,
2als der Edomiter Doeg kam und dem Saul meldete und sprach: "David ist in Achimeleks Haus gekommen."
3Was rühmst du dich der Bosheit, du Gewaltmensch,als wär sie eine Gottesgnade immerdar?
4Du schätzest Frevel hoch, und deine Zungegleicht einem scharfen Messer, das mit Trug arbeitet.
5Du liebst das Böse mehr als Gutesund redest lieber Unwahrheit als Wahrheit. (Sela.)
6Du liebst die glatten Reden allund falsche Zungen.
7Auch dich wirft Gott für immer nieder;er packt dich, reißt dich aus dem Zelt,entwurzelt dich aus der Lebendigen Land. (Sela.)
8Das sehen die Gerechten voller Furcht,und sie verlachen ihn:
9"Da seht den Mann! Er hält nicht Gott für seine Stütze,vertraut auf seines Reichtums Fülleund pocht auf seine Bosheit." Dem grünen Ölbaum in dem Gotteshause gleich,hab ich mich stets auf Gottes Huld verlassen. Ich danke Dir auf ewig, wenn Du's tust.Vor Deinen Frommen künd ich, daß so gut Dein Name ist.

1Al Músico principal: Masquil de David, cuando vino Doeg Idumeo y dió cuenta á Saúl, diciéndole: David ha venido á casa de Ahimelech. ¿POR qué te glorías de maldad, oh poderoso? La misericordia de Dios es continua.
2Agravios maquina tu lengua: como navaja amolada hace engaño.
3Amaste el mal más que el bien; la mentira más que hablar justicia. (Selah.)
4Has amado toda suerte de palabras perniciosas, engañosa lengua.
5Por tanto Dios te derribará para siempre: te asolará y te arrancará de tu morada, y te desarraigará de la tierra de los vivientes. (Selah.)
6Y verán los justos, y temerán; y reiránse de él, diciendo:
7He aquí el hombre que no puso á Dios por su fortaleza, sino que confió en la multitud de sus riquezas, y se mantuvo en su maldad.
8Mas yo estoy como oliva verde en la casa de Dios: en la misericordia de Dios confío perpetua y eternalmente.
9Te alabaré para siempre por lo que has hecho: y esperaré en tu nombre, porque es bueno, delante de tus santos.

1Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God endureth continually.
2Thy tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.
3Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.
4Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.
5God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah.
6The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him:
7Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.
8But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.
9I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.

1Why do you boast of mischief, mighty man? God’s loving kindness endures continually.
2Your tongue plots destruction, like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.
3You love evil more than good, lying rather than speaking the truth. Selah.
4You love all devouring words, you deceitful tongue.
5God will likewise destroy you forever. He will take you up, and pluck you out of your tent, and root you out of the land of the living. Selah.
6The righteous also will see it, and fear, and laugh at him, saying,
7“Behold, this is the man who didn’t make God his strength, but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.”
8But as for me, I am like a green olive tree in God’s house. I trust in God’s loving kindness forever and ever.
9I will give you thanks forever, because you have done it. I will hope in your name, for it is good, in the presence of your saints.
