The mighty God, even the LORD, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.

Vom Zion her, der Krone der Schönheit, strahlt Gott auf. /
De Sión, perfección de hermosura, ha Dios resplandecido.
Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined.

Unser Gott kommt und kann nicht schweigen; / verzehrendes Feuer geht vor ihm her, / und rings um ihn ist ein mächtiges Wetter. /
Vendrá nuestro Dios, y no callará: fuego consumirá delante de él, y en derredor suyo habrá tempestad grande.
Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.
Our God comes, and does not keep silent. A fire devours before him. It is very stormy around him.
Er ruft dem Himmel droben zu / und der Erde, um sein Volk zu richten. /
Convocará á los cielos de arriba, y á la tierra, para juzgar á su pueblo.
He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.

Versammelt ihm seine Frommen, / die mit ihm beim Opfer einen Bund geschlossen! /
Juntadme mis santos; los que hicieron conmigo pacto con sacrificio.
Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.

Und die Himmel sollen seine Gerechtigkeit verkünden; / denn Gott selbst will Richter sein. /

Nicht wegen deiner Opfer will ich dich rügen, / sind doch deine Brandopfer allezeit vor mir. /
No te reprenderé sobre tus sacrificios, ni por tus holocaustos, que delante de mí están siempre.
I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings, to have been continually before me.
I don’t rebuke you for your sacrifices. Your burnt offerings are continually before me.
Ich mag nicht den Stier aus deinem Hause, / noch Böcke aus deinen Hürden. /
No tomaré de tu casa becerros, ni machos cabríos de tus apriscos.
I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds.
I have no need for a bull from your stall, nor male goats from your pens.
Mein ist ja alles Getier des Waldes, / das Wild auf meinen Bergen zu Tausenden. /
Porque mía es toda bestia del bosque, y los millares de animales en los collados.

E invócame en el día de la angustia: te libraré, y tú me honrarás.
And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

Zum Gottlosen aber spricht Gott: / "Was zählst du meine Satzungen her / und führst mein Gesetz im Munde, /
Pero al malo dijo Dios: ¿Qué tienes tú que enarrar mis leyes, y que tomar mi pacto en tu boca,
But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth?
But to the wicked God says, “What right do you have to declare my statutes, that you have taken my covenant on your lips,
da du doch Zucht hassest / und meine Worte hinter dich wirfst? /
Pues que tú aborreces el castigo, y echas á tu espalda mis palabras?
Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee.
since you hate instruction, and throw my words behind you?
Siehst du einen Dieb, so hältst du zu ihm, / und mit Ehebrechern hast du Gemeinschaft. /
Si veías al ladrón, tú corrías con él; y con los adúlteros era tu parte.
When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers.
When you saw a thief, you consented with him, and have participated with adulterers.
Deinen Mund lässest du Böses reden, / und deine Zunge flicht Betrug. /
Tu boca metías en mal, y tu lengua componía engaño.
Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit.
“You give your mouth to evil. Your tongue frames deceit.
Du setzest dich hin und redest wider den Bruder, / beschimpfst den Sohn deiner Mutter. /
Tomabas asiento, y hablabas contra tu hermano; contra el hijo de tu madre ponías infamia.
Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother’s son.
You sit and speak against your brother. You slander your own mother’s son.
Das hast du getan, und ich habe geschwiegen; / da wähntest du, ich sei gleich wie du. / Nun rüge ich dich und stelle es dir vor Augen. /
Estas cosas hiciste, y yo he callado: pensabas que de cierto sería yo como tú: yo te argüiré, y pondrélas delante de tus ojos.
These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.
You have done these things, and I kept silent. You thought that I was just like you. I will rebuke you, and accuse you in front of your eyes.
Merket doch das, die ihr Gottes vergessen, / damit ich nicht zerreisse - und niemand rettet. /
Entended ahora esto, los que os olvidáis de Dios; no sea que arrebate, sin que nadie libre.
Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.
“Now consider this, you who forget God, lest I tear you into pieces, and there be no one to deliver.
Wer Dank opfert, der ehrt mich; / und wer unsträflich wandelt, / den lasse ich schauen mein Heil."
El que sacrifica alabanza me honrará: y al que ordenare su camino, le mostraré la salud de Dios.
Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.
Whoever offers the sacrifice of thanksgiving glorifies me, and prepares his way so that I will show God’s salvation to him.”
