Al Músico principal, á Jeduthún: Salmo de David. YO DIJE: Atenderé á mis caminos, para no pecar con mi lengua: guardaré mi boca con freno, en tanto que el impío fuere contra mí.
I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me.

Ed esaudì le mie orazioni, e dall'abisso della miseria mi trasse, e dal sordido fango. E a' piedi miei diè fermezza sopra la pietra, e assicurò i miei passi.
Enmudecí con silencio, calléme aun respecto de lo bueno: y excitóse mi dolor.

E mise a me in bocca un nuovo cantico, una lauda al nostro Dio. Vedranno molti, e temeranno, e spereranno nel Signore.
Enardecióse mi corazón dentro de mí; encendióse fuego en mi meditación, y así proferí con mi lengua:

Beato l'uomo, di cui la speranza è il nome del Signore: e gli occhi non rivolse alle vanità, e alle follie dell'errore.
Hazme saber, Jehová, mi fin, y cuánta sea la medida de mis días; sepa yo cuánto tengo de ser del mundo.
LORD, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is; that I may know how frail I am.

Molte sono le meraviglie fatte da te, o Signore Dio mio; e i tuoi consigli non v'ha chi possa raggiungerli. Gli annunziai, e li raccontai; la lor moltitudine sorpassa ogni numero.
He aquí diste á mis días término corto, y mi edad es como nada delante de ti: ciertamente es completa vanidad todo hombre que vive. (Selah.)
Behold, thou hast made my days as an handbreadth; and mine age is as nothing before thee: verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity. Selah.
Behold, you have made my days hand widths. My lifetime is as nothing before you. Surely every man stands as a breath.” Selah.
Non hai voluto sagrifizio, né obblazione: ma a me tu formasti le orecchie. Non hai richiesto olocausto, e sagrifizio per lo peccato:
Ciertamente en tinieblas anda el hombre; ciertamente en vano se inquieta: junta, y no sabe quién lo allegará.
Surely every man walketh in a vain shew: surely they are disquieted in vain: he heapeth up riches, and knoweth not who shall gather them.

Per fare la tua volontà: Dio mio. Io volli in mezzo al cuor mio aver la tua legge.
Líbrame de todas mis rebeliones; no me pongas por escarnio del insensato.
Deliver me from all my transgressions: make me not the reproach of the foolish.

Ho annunziato la tua giustizia in una Chiesa grande: ecco, che io non terrò chiuse le labbra: tu lo sai, o Signore.
Enmudecí, no abrí mi boca; porque tú lo hiciste.
I was dumb, I opened not my mouth; because thou didst it.
I was mute. I didn’t open my mouth, because you did it.
Non ascosi dentro di me la tua giustizia: dimostrai la tua verità, e il tuo Salvatore. Non tenni ascosa la tua misericordia, e la tua verità alla numerosa adunanza.
Quita de sobre mí tu plaga; de la guerra de tu mano soy consumido.
Remove thy stroke away from me: I am consumed by the blow of thine hand.
Remove your scourge away from me. I am overcome by the blow of your hand.
Ma tu, o Signore, non allontanare le tue misericordie da me: la tua pietà, e la tua verità mi sostennero in ogni tempo.
Con castigos sobre el pecado corriges al hombre, y haces consumirse como de polilla su grandeza: ciertamente vanidad es todo hombre. (Selah.)
When thou with rebukes dost correct man for iniquity, thou makest his beauty to consume away like a moth: surely every man is vanity. Selah.
When you rebuke and correct man for iniquity, you consume his wealth like a moth. Surely every man is but a breath.” Selah.
Imperocché sono circondato da mali, che non han numero: mi hanno cinto le mie iniquità, ed io non potea vederle. Sono di maggior numero, che i capelli della mia testa; e il cuore mi è mancato.
Oye mi oración, oh Jehová, y escucha mi clamor: no calles á mis lágrimas; porque peregrino soy para contigo, y advenedizo, como todos mis padres.
Hear my prayer, O LORD, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner, as all my fathers were.

Piaccia a te, o Signore, di liberarmi: Signore volgiti a darmi aita.
Déjame, y tomaré fuerzas, antes que vaya y perezca.
O spare me, that I may recover strength, before I go hence, and be no more.

Siano confusi, e svergognati coloro, che cercano la mia vita, affin di rapirla. Siano messi in fuga, e svergognati coloro, che a me bramano il male.

Ricevano tosto l'ignominia che meritano color, che a me dicono: Bene sta, bene sta.

Esultino, e in te si rallegrino tutti coloro, i quali ti cercano; e quelli, che amano la salute, che vien da te, dicano in ogni tempo; Glorificato sia il Signore.

Io per me son mendico, e senza aiuto: Il Signore ha cura di me. Tu sei aiuto mio, e mio protettore: Dio mio, non tardare. E' salmo profetico, e molto simile al precedente.
