1A Psalme of David. Fret not thy selfe because of the wicked men, neither be enuious for the euill doers.
2For they shall soone bee cut downe like grasse, and shall wither as the greene herbe.
3Trust thou in the Lord and do good: dwell in the land, and thou shalt be fed assuredly.
4And delite thy selfe in the Lord, and hee shall giue thee thine hearts desire.
5Commit thy way vnto the Lord, and trust in him, and he shall bring it to passe.
6And he shall bring foorth thy righteousnes as the light, and thy iudgement as the noone day.
7Waite patiently vpon the Lord and hope in him: fret not thy selfe for him which prospereth in his way: nor for the man that bringeth his enterprises to passe.
8Cease from anger, and leaue off wrath: fret not thy selfe also to doe euill.
9For euill doers shalbe cut off, and they that wait vpon the Lord, they shall inherite the land.
10Therefore yet a litle while, and the wicked shall not appeare, and thou shalt looke after his place, and he shall not be found.
11But meeke men shall possesse the earth, and shall haue their delite in the multitude of peace.
12The wicked practiseth against the iust, and gnasheth his teeth against him.
13But the Lord shall laugh him to scorne: for he seeth, that his day is comming.
14The wicked haue drawen their sworde, and haue bent their bowe, to cast downe the poore and needie, and to slay such as be of vpright conuersation.
15But their sword shall enter into their owne heart, and their bowes shalbe broken.
16A small thing vnto the iust man is better, then great riches to the wicked and mightie.
17For the armes of the wicked shall be broken: but the Lord vpholdeth the iust men.
18The Lord knoweth the dayes of vpright men, and their inheritance shall bee perpetuall.
19They shall not be confounded in the perilous time, and in the daies of famine they shall haue ynough.
20But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the Lord shall be consumed as the fatte of lambes: euen with the smoke shall they consume away.
21The wicked boroweth and payeth not againe. but the righteous is mercifull, and giueth.
22For such as be blessed of God, shall inherite the lande, and they that be cursed of him, shalbe cut off.
23The pathes of man are directed by the Lord: for he loueth his way.
24Though he fall, hee shall not be cast off: for the Lord putteth vnder his hand.
25I haue beene yong, and am olde: yet I sawe neuer the righteous forsaken, nor his seede begging bread.
26But hee is euer mercifull and lendeth, and his seede enioyeth the blessing.
27Flee from euill and doe good, and dwell for euer.
28For the Lord loueth iudgement, and forsaketh not his Saintes: they shall be preserued for euermore: but the seede of the wicked shall be cut off.
29The righteous men shall inherit the lande, and dwell therein for euer.
30The mouth of the righteous will speake of wisedome, and his tongue will talke of iudgement.
31For the Lawe of his God is in his heart, and his steppes shall not slide.
32The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.
33But the Lord wil not leaue him in his hand, nor condemne him, when he is iudged.
34Waite thou on the Lord, and keepe his way, and he shall exalt thee, that thou shalt inherite the lande: when the wicked men shall perish, thou shalt see.
35I haue seene the wicked strong, and spreading himselfe like a greene bay tree.
36Yet he passed away, and loe, he was gone, and I sought him, but he could not be founde.
37Marke the vpright man, and beholde the iust: for the end of that man is peace.
38But the transgressours shall be destroyed together, and the ende of the wicked shall bee cut off.
39But the saluation of the righteous men shalbe of the Lord: he shalbe their strength in the time of trouble.
40For the Lord shall helpe them, and deliuer them: he shall deliuer them from the wicked, and shall saue them, because they trust in him.

1Salmo de David. NO te impacientes á causa de los malignos, ni tengas envidia de los que hacen iniquidad.
2Porque como hierba serán presto cortados, y decaerán como verdor de renuevo.
3Espera en Jehová, y haz bien; vivirás en la tierra, y en verdad serás alimentado.
4Pon asimismo tu delicia en Jehová, y él te dará las peticiones de tu corazón.
5Encomienda á Jehová tu camino, y espera en él; y él hará.
6Y exhibirá tu justicia como la luz, y tus derechos como el medio día.
7Calla á Jehová, y espera en él: no te alteres con motivo del que prospera en su camino, por el hombre que hace maldades.
8Déjate de la ira, y depón el enojo: no te excites en manera alguna á hacer lo malo.
9Porque los malignos serán talados, mas los que esperan en Jehová, ellos heredarán la tierra.
10Pues de aquí á poco no será el malo: y contemplarás sobre su lugar, y no parecerá.
11Pero los mansos heredarán la tierra, y se recrearán con abundancia de paz.
12Maquina el impío contra el justo, y cruje sobre él sus dientes.
13El Señor se reirá de él; porque ve que viene su día.
14Los impíos desenvainaron espada, y entesaron su arco, para derribar al pobre y al menesteroso, para matar á los de recto proceder.
15La espada de ellos entrará en su mismo corazón, y su arco será quebrado.
16Mejor es lo poco del justo, que las riquezas de muchos pecadores.
17Porque los brazos de los impíos serán quebrados: mas el que sostiene á los justos es Jehová.
18Conoce Jehová los días de los perfectos: y la heredad de ellos será para siempre.
19No serán avergonzados en el mal tiempo; y en los días de hambre serán hartos.
20Mas los impíos perecerán, y los enemigos de Jehová como la grasa de los carneros serán consumidos: se disiparán como humo.
21El impío toma prestado, y no paga; mas el justo tiene misericordia, y da.
22Porque los benditos de él heredarán la tierra; y los malditos de él serán talados.
23Por Jehová son ordenados los pasos del hombre, y aprueba su camino.
24Cuando cayere, no quedará postrado; porque Jehová sostiene su mano.
25Mozo fuí, y he envejecido, y no he visto justo desamparado, ni su simiente que mendigue pan.
26En todo tiempo tiene misericordia, y presta; y su simiente es para bendición.
27Apártate del mal, y haz el bien, y vivirás para siempre.
28Porque Jehová ama la rectitud, y no desampara sus santos: para siempre serán guardados; mas la simiente de los impíos será extirpada.
29Los justos heredarán la tierra, y vivirán para siempre sobre ella.
30La boca del justo hablará sabiduría; y su lengua proferirá juicio.
31La ley de su Dios está en su corazón; por tanto sus pasos no vacilarán.
32Acecha el impío al justo, y procura matarlo.
33Jehová no lo dejará en sus manos, ni lo condenará cuando le juzgaren.
34Espera en Jehová, y guarda su camino, y él te ensalzará para heredar la tierra: cuando serán talados los pecadores, lo verás.
35Vi yo al impío sumamente ensalzado, y que se extendía como un laurel verde.
36Empero pasóse, y he aquí no parece; y busquélo, y no fué hallado.
37Considera al íntegro, y mira al justo: que la postrimería de cada uno de ellos es paz.
38Mas los transgresores fueron todos á una destruídos: la postrimería de los impíos fué talada.
39Pero la salvación de los justos es de Jehová, y él es su fortaleza en el tiempo de angustia.
40Y Jehová los ayudará, y los librará: y libertarálos de los impíos, y los salvará, por cuanto en él esperaron.

1Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.
2For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.
3Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
4Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
5Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
6And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
7Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
8Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.
9For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.
10For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.
11But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
12The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.
13The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.
14The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation.
15Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.
16A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.
17For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholdeth the righteous.
18The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.
19They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
20But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.
21The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.
22For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.
23The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
24Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.
25I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
26He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.
27Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.
28For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.
29The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.
30The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.
31The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.
32The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.
33The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.
34Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.
35I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.
36Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.
37Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.
38But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.
39But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble.
40And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.

1Don’t fret because of evildoers, neither be envious against those who work unrighteousness.
2For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither like the green herb.
3Trust in the LORD, and do good. Dwell in the land, and enjoy safe pasture.
4Also delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
5Commit your way to the LORD. Trust also in him, and he will do this:
6he will make your righteousness shine out like light, and your justice as the noon day sun.
7Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him. Don’t fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who makes wicked plots happen.
8Cease from anger, and forsake wrath. Don’t fret; it leads only to evildoing.
9For evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for the LORD shall inherit the land.
10For yet a little while, and the wicked will be no more. Yes, though you look for his place, he isn’t there.
11But the humble shall inherit the land, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
12The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes at him with his teeth.
13The Lord will laugh at him, for he sees that his day is coming.
14The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, to kill those who are upright on the path.
15Their sword shall enter into their own heart. Their bows shall be broken.
16Better is a little that the righteous has, than the abundance of many wicked.
17For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, but the LORD upholds the righteous.
18The LORD knows the days of the perfect. Their inheritance shall be forever.
19They shall not be disappointed in the time of evil. In the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
20But the wicked shall perish. The enemies of the LORD shall be like the beauty of the fields. They will vanish— vanish like smoke.
21The wicked borrow, and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously.
22For such as are blessed by him shall inherit the land. Those who are cursed by him shall be cut off.
23A man’s steps are established by the LORD. He delights in his way.
24Though he stumble, he shall not fall, for the LORD holds him up with his hand.
25I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread.
26All day long he deals graciously, and lends. His offspring is blessed.
27Depart from evil, and do good. Live securely forever.
28For the LORD loves justice, and doesn’t forsake his saints. They are preserved forever, but the children of the wicked shall be cut off.
29The righteous shall inherit the land, and live in it forever.
30The mouth of the righteous talks of wisdom. His tongue speaks justice.
31The law of his God is in his heart. None of his steps shall slide.
32The wicked watch the righteous, and seek to kill him.
33The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.
34Wait for the LORD, and keep his way, and he will exalt you to inherit the land. When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.
35I have seen the wicked in great power, spreading himself like a green tree in its native soil.
36But he passed away, and behold, he was not. Yes, I sought him, but he could not be found.
37Mark the perfect man, and see the upright, for there is a future for the man of peace.
38As for transgressors, they shall be destroyed together. The future of the wicked shall be cut off.
39But the salvation of the righteous is from the LORD. He is their stronghold in the time of trouble.
40The LORD helps them and rescues them. He rescues them from the wicked and saves them, because they have taken refuge in him.
