1Como é feliz o homem que tem suas transgressões perdoadas e os seus pecados apagados!
2Como é feliz aquele cujos pecados o Senhor apagou e que não tem falsidade no coração!
3Eu tentei por algum tempo esconder os meus pecados. Mas fiquei muito fraco, gemendo de dor e aflição o dia inteiro.
4De dia e de noite a sua mão pesava sobre mim, fazendo com que as minhas forças fossem se esgotando, como a seca faz com um pequeno riacho.
5O sofrimento continuou até que admiti a minha culpa e não escondi mais o meu pecado. Pensei comigo mesmo: Confessarei as minhas transgressões ao Senhor. E o Senhor perdoou a culpa do meu pecado.
6Portanto, que todos os que são santos orem ao Senhor enquanto pode ser encontrado; quando as muitas águas se levantarem, elas não os atingirão.
7O Senhor é o meu lugar de segurança; o Senhor me livra da aflição e enche a minha vida de canções de vitórias.
8Eu o instruirei e o ensinarei — diz o Senhor — e mostrarei a você o caminho por onde deve andar. Eu mesmo lhe darei conselhos e o vigiarei.
9Não seja teimoso como um cavalo ou uma mula que não tem entendimento; eles precisam de rédeas e freio para andarem pelo caminho certo.
10Os maus passam por muitos sofrimentos, mas quem confia no Senhor será acompanhado de perto pelo seu amor cuidadoso.
11Alegrem-se por causa do Senhor! Cantem de felicidade todos vocês que são justos. Sim, vibrem de alegria todos os que procuram sinceramente agradar o Senhor!

1Salmo de David: Masquil. BIENAVENTURADO aquel cuyas iniquidades son perdonadas, y borrados sus pecados.
2Bienaventurado el hombre á quien no imputa Jehová la iniquidad, y en cuyo espíritu no hay superchería.
3Mientras callé, envejeciéronse mis huesos en mi gemir todo el día.
4Porque de día y de noche se agravó sobre mí tu mano; volvióse mi verdor en sequedades de estío. (Selah.)
5Mi pecado te declaré, y no encubrí mi iniquidad. Confesaré, dije, contra mí mis rebeliones á Jehová; y tú perdonaste la maldad de mi pecado. (Selah.)
6Por esto orará á ti todo santo en el tiempo de poder hallarte: ciertamente en la inundación de muchas aguas no llegarán éstas á él.
7Tú eres mi refugio; me guardarás de angustia; con cánticos de liberación me rodearás. (Selah.)
8Te haré entender, y te enseñaré el camino en que debes andar: sobre ti fijaré mis ojos.
9No seáis como el caballo, ó como el mulo, sin entendimiento: con cabestro y con freno su boca ha de ser reprimida, para que no lleguen á ti.
10Muchos dolores para el impío; mas el que espera en Jehová, lo cercará misericordia.
11Alegraos en Jehová, y gozaos, justos: y cantad todos vosotros los rectos de corazón.

1Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
2Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.
3When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.
4For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.
5I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.
6For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him.
7Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.
8I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
9Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.
10Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about.
11Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.

1Blessed is he whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
2Blessed is the man to whom the LORD doesn’t impute iniquity, in whose spirit there is no deceit.
3When I kept silence, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long.
4For day and night your hand was heavy on me. My strength was sapped in the heat of summer. Selah.
5I acknowledged my sin to you. I didn’t hide my iniquity. I said, I will confess my transgressions to the LORD, and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah.
6For this, let everyone who is godly pray to you in a time when you may be found. Surely when the great waters overflow, they shall not reach to him.
7You are my hiding place. You will preserve me from trouble. You will surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah.
8I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you.
9Don’t be like the horse, or like the mule, which have no understanding, who are controlled by bit and bridle, or else they will not come near to you.
10Many sorrows come to the wicked, but loving kindness shall surround him who trusts in the LORD.
11Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, you righteous! Shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart!
