1Hymne de David. O bonheur de celui dont la faute est pardonnée, et le péché remis !
2O bonheur de l'homme à qui l'Éternel n'impute point le crime, et dont le cœur est sans hypocrisie !
3Tant que je fus muet, mes os se consumaient par mes soupirs de tout le jour.
4Car le jour et la nuit j'étais sous le poids de ta main, la sève de ma vie séchait, comme aux feux de l'été. (Pause)
5Je t'avouai mon péché, et ne cachai point mon crime ; je dis : Je veux à l'Éternel confesser mon forfait ! et tu pardonnas le crime de mon péché. (Pause)
6Aussi, que tout fidèle te prie dans le temps où l'on te trouve ! Seul, au débordement des grandes eaux, il n'en sera pas atteint.
7Tu es mon asile, tu me gardes contre l'angoisse, et tu m'entoures de chants de délivrance. (Pause)
8Je veux t'instruire et te montrer la voie qu'il te faut suivre ; je veux t'avertir, fixant mes yeux sur toi.
9Ne soyez pas comme le cheval et le mulet stupide, qui, sans la bride et le mors du frein qui les dompte, ne t'approcheraient pas.
10Il y a beaucoup de douleurs pour l'impie ; mais celui qui dans l'Éternel met sa confiance, est environné de sa grâce.
11Justes, que l'Éternel excite votre joie et vos transports, et chantez, vous tous dont le cœur est droit !

1Salmo de David: Masquil. BIENAVENTURADO aquel cuyas iniquidades son perdonadas, y borrados sus pecados.
2Bienaventurado el hombre á quien no imputa Jehová la iniquidad, y en cuyo espíritu no hay superchería.
3Mientras callé, envejeciéronse mis huesos en mi gemir todo el día.
4Porque de día y de noche se agravó sobre mí tu mano; volvióse mi verdor en sequedades de estío. (Selah.)
5Mi pecado te declaré, y no encubrí mi iniquidad. Confesaré, dije, contra mí mis rebeliones á Jehová; y tú perdonaste la maldad de mi pecado. (Selah.)
6Por esto orará á ti todo santo en el tiempo de poder hallarte: ciertamente en la inundación de muchas aguas no llegarán éstas á él.
7Tú eres mi refugio; me guardarás de angustia; con cánticos de liberación me rodearás. (Selah.)
8Te haré entender, y te enseñaré el camino en que debes andar: sobre ti fijaré mis ojos.
9No seáis como el caballo, ó como el mulo, sin entendimiento: con cabestro y con freno su boca ha de ser reprimida, para que no lleguen á ti.
10Muchos dolores para el impío; mas el que espera en Jehová, lo cercará misericordia.
11Alegraos en Jehová, y gozaos, justos: y cantad todos vosotros los rectos de corazón.

1Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
2Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.
3When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.
4For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.
5I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.
6For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him.
7Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.
8I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
9Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.
10Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about.
11Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.

1Blessed is he whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
2Blessed is the man to whom the LORD doesn’t impute iniquity, in whose spirit there is no deceit.
3When I kept silence, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long.
4For day and night your hand was heavy on me. My strength was sapped in the heat of summer. Selah.
5I acknowledged my sin to you. I didn’t hide my iniquity. I said, I will confess my transgressions to the LORD, and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah.
6For this, let everyone who is godly pray to you in a time when you may be found. Surely when the great waters overflow, they shall not reach to him.
7You are my hiding place. You will preserve me from trouble. You will surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah.
8I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you.
9Don’t be like the horse, or like the mule, which have no understanding, who are controlled by bit and bridle, or else they will not come near to you.
10Many sorrows come to the wicked, but loving kindness shall surround him who trusts in the LORD.
11Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, you righteous! Shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart!
