¿POR qué se amotinan las gentes, y los pueblos piensan vanidad?
Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

Si sono levati su i re della terra, e i principi si son collegati insieme contro il Signore, e contro il suo Cristo.
Estarán los reyes de la tierra, y príncipes consultarán unidos contra Jehová, y contra su ungido, diciendo:

Rompiamo i loro lacci, e rigettiam lungi da noi il lor giogo.
Rompamos sus coyundas, y echemos de nosotros sus cuerdas.
Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
“Let’s break their bonds apart, and cast their cords from us.”
Colui, che ne' cieli risiede, si burlerà di costoro, e il Signore gli schernirà.
El que mora en los cielos se reirá; el Señor se burlará de ellos.
He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
He who sits in the heavens will laugh. The Lord will have them in derision.
Allora egli parlerà ad essi nella sua indignazione, e nel suo furore gli atterrirà.
Entonces hablará á ellos en su furor, y turbarálos con su ira.
Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
Then he will speak to them in his anger, and terrify them in his wrath:
Ma io da lui sono stato costituito re sopra Sionne (sopra) il monte santo di lui, affine di annunziare i suoi precetti.
Yo empero he puesto mi rey sobre Sión, monte de mi santidad.
Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
“Yet I have set my King on my holy hill of Zion.”
Il Signore disse a me: Tu se' mio figliuolo; io oggi ti ho generato.
Yo publicaré el decreto: Jehová me ha dicho: Mi hijo eres tú; yo te engendré hoy.
I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
I will tell of the decree: The LORD said to me, “You are my son. Today I have become your father.
Chiedimi, e io ti darò in tuo retaggio le genti, e io tuo dominio gli ultimi confini del mondo.
Pídeme, y te daré por heredad las gentes, y por posesión tuya los términos de la tierra.
Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

Governerai coloro con scettro di ferro, e gli stritolerai come un vaso di creta.

Adesso adunque voi, o regi, imparate: ravvedetevi voi, che siete giudici della terra.
Y ahora, reyes, entended: admitid corrección, jueces de la tierra.

Abbracciate la buona dottrina, affinchè non abbia il Signore a sdegnarsi, e voi vi perdiate, smarrita la via della giustizia.
Besad al Hijo, porque no se enoje, y perezcáis en el camino, cuando se encendiere un poco su furor. Bienaventurados todos los que en él confían.
Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
Give sincere homage to the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish on the way, for his wrath will soon be kindled. Blessed are all those who take refuge in him.
Allorché subitamente l'ira di lui divamperà, beati tutti coloro, che si confidano in lui. Preghiera a Dio, perche lo difenda dai nemici. Conviene anche a Cristo, di cui Davidde è figura.
