2Ein König freut sich über Deine Macht,und wie frohlockt er über Deine Hilfe, Herr!
3Erfüllt hast Du ihm seinen Herzenswunsch,ihm nicht versagt, was seine Lippen sich erfleht. (Sela.)
4Entgegen kamst Du ihm mit reichem Segenund setztest eine goldene Krone ihm aufs Haupt.
5Um Leben hat er Dich gebeten; Du hast's ihm geschenkt,ein langes Leben, unvergänglich.
6Sein Ruhm wird groß durch Deine Hilfe;Du hüllest ihn in Glanz und Majestät.
7Du machst zum Segen ihn für immerdarund labst ihn mit den Wonnen Deines Angesichtes. -
8Ja, auf den Herrn vertraut der Königund zweifelt nimmer an des Höchsten Huld. -
9Gewachsen allen Deinen Feinden zeigt sich Deine Hand,gewachsen Deine Rechte allen denen, die Dich hassen.
10Zur rechten Zeit, o Herr,machst Du Dein Angesicht zur Feueresse,die sie mit ihrer Glut vernichtet,und Feuer frißt sie auf.
11Du tilgst vom Boden ihre Fruchtund aus den Menschenkindern ihren Stamm,
12Weil sie mit Bösem Dir gedroht und Pläne sich ersonnen,wie sie es nimmer durften.
13Denn grausam wirfst Du diese hinund zielst mit Deinem Bogen auf ihr Angesicht. Erhebe, Herr, Dich wiederum in Deiner Kraft!Wir möchten Deinen Sieg mit Sang und Spielen feiern.

2El deseo de su corazón le diste, y no le negaste lo que sus labios pronunciaron. (Selah.)
3Pues le has salido al encuentro con bendiciones de bien: corona de oro fino has puesto sobre su cabeza.
4Vida te demandó, y dístele largura de días por siglos y siglos.
5Grande es su gloria en tu salud: honra y majestad has puesto sobre él.
6Porque lo has bendecido para siempre; llenástelo de alegría con tu rostro.
7Por cuanto el rey confía en Jehová, y en la misericordia del Altísimo, no será conmovido.
8Alcanzará tu mano á todos tus enemigos; tu diestra alcanzará á los que te aborrecen.
9Ponerlos has como horno de fuego en el tiempo de tu ira: Jehová los deshará en su furor, y fuego los consumirá.
10Su fruto destruirás de la tierra, y su simiente de entre los hijos de los hombres.
11Porque trazaron el mal contra ti: fraguaron maquinaciones, mas no prevalecerán.
12Pues tú los pondrás en fuga, cuando aparejares en tus cuerdas las saetas contra sus rostros.
13Ensálzate, oh Jehová, con tu fortaleza: cantaremos y alabaremos tu poderío.

1The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!
2Thou hast given him his heart’s desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah.
3For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head.
4He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even length of days for ever and ever.
5His glory is great in thy salvation: honour and majesty hast thou laid upon him.
6For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance.
7For the king trusteth in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.
8Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.
9Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.
10Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.
11For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform.
12Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back, when thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against the face of them.
13Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power.

1The king rejoices in your strength, LORD! How greatly he rejoices in your salvation!
2You have given him his heart’s desire, and have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah.
3For you meet him with the blessings of goodness. You set a crown of fine gold on his head.
4He asked life of you and you gave it to him, even length of days forever and ever.
5His glory is great in your salvation. You lay honor and majesty on him.
6For you make him most blessed forever. You make him glad with joy in your presence.
7For the king trusts in the LORD. Through the loving kindness of the Most High, he shall not be moved.
8Your hand will find out all of your enemies. Your right hand will find out those who hate you.
9You will make them as a fiery furnace in the time of your anger. The LORD will swallow them up in his wrath. The fire shall devour them.
10You will destroy their descendants from the earth, their posterity from among the children of men.
11For they intended evil against you. They plotted evil against you which cannot succeed.
12For you will make them turn their back, when you aim drawn bows at their face.
13Be exalted, LORD, in your strength, so we will sing and praise your power.
