Salmos 18
Biblia Torres Amat
1Salmo de David, siervo del Señor, a cuya gloria dirigió las palabras de este cántico, el día en que le libró el Señor de las manos de todos sus enemigos, como también del poder de Saúl, con cuyo motivo dijo: A ti he de amarte, ¡oh Señor!, que eres toda mi fortaleza.
2El Señor es mi firme apoyo, mi asilo, y mi libertador. Mi Dios es mi socorro y en él esperaré. El es mi protector y mi poderosa salvación, y el amparo mío.
3Invocaré, pues, al Señor con alabanzas, y me veré libre de mis enemigos.
4Me cercaron dolores de muerte; y torrentes de iniquidad me llenaron de terror.
5Me rodearon dolores de infierno; estuve a punto de caer en lazos de muerte.
6Mas en medio de esta mi tribulación invoqué al Señor, y a mi Dios clamé, el cual desde su santo templo escuchó benigno mis voces; y el clamor que hice yo ante su acatamiento penetró sus oídos.
7Se conmovió y tembló luego la tierra, los cimientos de los montes se estremecieron y se conmovieron, viéndole tan airado.
8Se levantó una gran humareda en fuerza de su ira, un fuego devorador salía de su rostro; por él fueron encendidas brasas.
9Inclinó los cielos, y descendió, llevando una oscura niebla bajo sus pies.
10Montó sobre querubines; y tomó el vuelo; voló llevado en alas de los vientos.
11Puso entre tinieblas su asiento; sirviéndole de pabellón, que le cubría por todas partes, un agua tenebrosa suspensa en las nubes del aire.
12Al resplandor de su presencia se resolvieron las nubes en lluvia de piedras y de centellas ardientes.
13Y tronó el Señor desde lo alto del cielo; y el Altísimo dio una voz como suya, y cayeron al instante piedras y ascuas de fuego.
14Disparó sus saetas, y los disipó; arrojó gran multitud de rayos, y los aterró.
15Se hicieron visibles los ocultos manantiales de las aguas y quedaron descubiertos los cimientos de la tierra, al estruendo tuyo, ¡oh Señor!, al resoplido del aliento de tu ira.
16Entonces me alargó el Señor desde lo alto su mano, y me asió, y me sacó de la inundación de tantas aguas.
17Me libró de mis poderosísimos enemigos; y de cuantos me aborrecían; porque se habían hecho más fuertes que yo.
18Se echaron de repente sobre mí en el día de mi angustia; pero el Señor se hizo mi protector.
19Me sacó a la anchura, me salvó por un efecto de su buena voluntad para conmigo.
20El Señor me recompensará según mi justicia, y me premiará conforme a la pureza de mis manos o acciones.
21Porque yo he seguido atentamente las sendas del Señor, y nunca he procedido impíamente contra mi Dios.
22Porque tengo ante mis ojos todos sus juicios, y no he desechado jamás sus justísimos preceptos.
23Y me mantendré puro delante de él; y me cuidaré de mi mala inclinación.
24Y el Señor me galardonará conforme a mi justicia, y según la pureza de mis manos que está presente a sus ojos.
25Porque tú, Señor, con el santo te ostentarás santo, e inocente con el inocente.
26Con el selecto serás selecto o sincero, y con el perverso serás como él merece.
27Porque tú salvarás al pueblo humilde, y humillarás los ojos altaneros.
28Y pues tú, ¡oh Señor!, das la luz a mi antorcha, esclarece, Dios mío, mis tinieblas.
29Que con tu ayuda seré libertado de la tentación; y al lado de mi Dios traspasaré o asaltaré toda muralla.
30Irreprensible y puro es el proceder de mi Dios, acendradas al fuego sus palabras o promesas; él es el protector de cuantos ponen en él su esperanza.
31Porque ¿qué otro Dios hay sino el Señor? ¿O qué Dios hay fuera de nuestro Dios?
32El es el Dios que me ha revestido de fortaleza, y ha hecho que mi conducta fuese sin mancilla;
33que ha dado a mis pies la ligereza de los ciervos, y me ha colocado sobre las alturas.
34Que adiestra mis manos para la pelea. Tú eres, ¡oh Dios mío!, el que fortaleciste mis brazos como arcos de bronce,
35y me has salvado con tu protección, y me has amparado con tu diestra. Tu disciplina o avisos me han corregido en todo tiempo; y esa misma disciplina tuya será mi enseñanza.
36Me fuiste abriendo paso por doquiera que iba, y no flaquearon mis pies.
37Perseguiré a mis enemigos y los alcanzaré, y no volveré atrás hasta cuando queden eternamente deshechos.
38Los destrozaré, no podrán resistir; caerán debajo de mis pies.
39Porque tú me revestiste de valor para el combate, y derribaste a mis pies a los que contra mí se alzaban.
40Hiciste volver las espaldas a mis enemigos delante de mí, y desbarataste a los que me odian.
41Clamaron; mas no había quien los salvase; clamaron al Señor, y no los escuchó.
42Los desmenuzaré como polvo que el viento esparce, y los barreré como lodo de las plazas.
43Tú, Dios mío, me librarás de las contradicciones del pueblo; tú me constituirás caudillo de las naciones.
44Un pueblo a quien yo no conocía, se sometió a mi dominio; apenas hubo oído mi voz, me rindió la obediencia.
45Los hijos míos se han vuelto como hijos bastardos, me faltaron a la fidelidad; han caído en la vejez y caducado los hijos bastardos, y van tropezando fuera de sus sendas.
46Viva el Señor, y bendito sea mil veces mi Dios; y sea glorificado el Dios de mi salud.
47Tú, oh Dios mío, que sales a vengarme, y sujetas a mi dominio las naciones; tú que me libraste de la saña de mis enemigos,
48me ensalzarás sobre los que se levantan contra mí; me libertarás del hombre inicuo.
49Por tanto, yo te alabaré, oh Señor, entre las naciones, y cantaré himnos a la gloria de tu Nombre;
50a aquel que ha salvado maravillosamente a su rey, y usa de misericordia, o colma de beneficios a su ungido David, y la usará también con su descendencia hasta el fin de los siglos.

1Al Músico principal: Salmo de David, siervo de Jehová, el cual profirió á Jehová las palabras de este cántico el día que le libró Jehová de mano de todos sus enemigos, y de mano de Saúl. Entonces dijo: AMARTE he, oh Jehová, fortaleza mía.
2Jehová, roca mía y castillo mío, y mi libertador; Dios mío, fuerte mío, en él confiaré; escudo mío, y el cuerno de mi salud, mi refugio.
3Invocaré á Jehová, digno de ser alabado, y seré salvo de mis enemigos.
4Cercáronme dolores de muerte, y torrentes de perversidad me atemorizaron.
5Dolores del sepulcro me rodearon, previniéronme lazos de muerte.
6En mi angustia invoqué á Jehová, y clamé á mi Dios: él oyó mi voz desde su templo, y mi clamor llegó delante de él, á sus oídos.
7Y la tierra fué conmovida y tembló; y moviéronse los fundamentos de los montes, y se estremecieron, porque se indignó él.
8Humo subió de su nariz, y de su boca consumidor fuego; carbones fueron por él encendidos.
9Y bajó los cielos, y descendió; y oscuridad debajo de sus pies.
10Y cabalgó sobre un querubín, y voló: voló sobre las alas del viento.
11Puso tinieblas por escondedero suyo, su pabellón en derredor de sí; oscuridad de aguas, nubes de los cielos.
12Por el resplandor delante de él, sus nubes pasaron; granizo y carbones ardientes.
13Y tronó en los cielos Jehová, y el Altísimo dió su voz; granizo y carbones de fuego.
14Y envió sus saetas, y desbaratólos; y echó relámpagos, y los destruyó.
15Y aparecieron las honduras de las aguas, y descubriéronse los cimientos del mundo, á tu reprensión, oh Jehová, por el soplo del viento de tu nariz.
16Envió desde lo alto; tomóme, sacóme de las muchas aguas.
17Libróme de mi poderoso enemigo, y de los que me aborrecían, aunque eran ellos más fuertes que yo.
18Asaltáronme en el día de mi quebranto: mas Jehová fué mi apoyo.
19Y sacóme á anchura: libróme, porque se agradó de mí.
20Hame pagado Jehová conforme á mi justicia: conforme á la limpieza de mis manos me ha vuelto.
21Porque yo he guardado los caminos de Jehová, y no me aparté impíamente de mi Dios.
22Pues todos sus juicios estuvieron delante de mí, y no eché de mí sus estatutos.
23Y fuí íntegro para con él, y cauteléme de mi maldad.
24Pagóme pues Jehová conforme á mi justicia; conforme á la limpieza de mis manos delante de sus ojos.
25Con el misericordioso te mostrarás misericordioso, y recto para con el hombre íntegro.
26Limpio te mostrarás para con el limpio, y severo serás para con el perverso.
27Y tú salvarás al pueblo humilde, y humillarás los ojos altivos.
28Tú pues alumbrarás mi lámpara: Jehová mi Dios alumbrará mis tinieblas.
29Porque contigo desharé ejércitos; y con mi Dios asaltaré muros.
30Dios, perfecto su camino: es acendrada la palabra de Jehová: escudo es á todos los que en él esperan.
31Porque ¿qué Dios hay fuera de Jehová? ¿y qué fuerte fuera de nuestro Dios?
32Dios es el que me ciñe de fuerza, é hizo perfecto mi camino;
33Quien pone mis pies como pies de ciervas, é hízome estar sobre mis alturas;
34Quien enseña mis manos para la batalla, y será quebrado con mis brazos el arco de acero.
35Dísteme asimismo el escudo de tu salud: y tu diestra me sustentó, y tu benignidad me ha acrecentado.
36Ensanchaste mis pasos debajo de mí, y no titubearon mis rodillas.
37Perseguido he mis enemigos, y alcancélos, y no volví hasta acabarlos.
38Helos herido, y no podrán levantarse: cayeron debajo de mis pies.
39Pues me ceñiste de fortaleza para la pelea; has agobiado mis enemigos debajo de mí.
40Y dísteme la cerviz de mis enemigos, y destruí á los que me aborrecían.
41Clamaron, y no hubo quien salvase: aun á Jehová, mas no los oyó.
42Y molílos como polvo delante del viento; esparcílos como lodo de las calles.
43Librásteme de contiendas de pueblo: pusísteme por cabecera de gentes: pueblo que yo no conocía, me sirvió.
44Así que hubo oído, me obedeció; los hijos de extraños me mintieron;
45Los extraños flaquearon, y tuvieron miedo desde sus encerramientos.
46Viva Jehová, y sea bendita mi roca; y ensalzado sea el Dios de mi salud:
47El Dios que me da las venganzas, y sujetó pueblos á mí.
48Mi libertador de mis enemigos: hicísteme también superior de mis adversarios; librásteme de varón violento.
49Por tanto yo te confesaré entre las gentes, oh Jehová, y cantaré á tu nombre.
50El cual engrandece las saludes de su rey, y hace misericordia á su ungido, á David y á su simiente, para siempre.
King James Version
1I will love thee, O LORD, my strength.
2The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
3I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
4The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid.
5The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me.
6In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.
7Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth.
8There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it.
9He bowed the heavens also, and came down: and darkness was under his feet.
10And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: yea, he did fly upon the wings of the wind.
11He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies.
12At the brightness that was before him his thick clouds passed, hail stones and coals of fire.
13The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice; hail stones and coals of fire.
14Yea, he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings, and discomfited them.
15Then the channels of waters were seen, and the foundations of the world were discovered at thy rebuke, O LORD, at the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.
16He sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters.
17He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me.
18They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the LORD was my stay.
19He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me.
20The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.
21For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.
22For all his judgments were before me, and I did not put away his statutes from me.
23I was also upright before him, and I kept myself from mine iniquity.
24Therefore hath the LORD recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.
25With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright;
26With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself froward.
27For thou wilt save the afflicted people; but wilt bring down high looks.
28For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.
29For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall.
30As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.
31For who is God save the LORD? or who is a rock save our God?
32It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.
33He maketh my feet like hinds’ feet, and setteth me upon my high places.
34He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.
35Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great.
36Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, that my feet did not slip.
37I have pursued mine enemies, and overtaken them: neither did I turn again till they were consumed.
38I have wounded them that they were not able to rise: they are fallen under my feet.
39For thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle: thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me.
40Thou hast also given me the necks of mine enemies; that I might destroy them that hate me.
41They cried, but there was none to save them: even unto the LORD, but he answered them not.
42Then did I beat them small as the dust before the wind: I did cast them out as the dirt in the streets.
43Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; and thou hast made me the head of the heathen: a people whom I have not known shall serve me.
44As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit themselves unto me.
45The strangers shall fade away, and be afraid out of their close places.
46The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted.
47It is God that avengeth me, and subdueth the people under me.
48He delivereth me from mine enemies: yea, thou liftest me up above those that rise up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.
49Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and sing praises unto thy name.
50Great deliverance giveth he to his king; and sheweth mercy to his anointed, to David, and to his seed for evermore.
World English Bible
1I love you, LORD, my strength.
2The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.
3I call on the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; and I am saved from my enemies.
4The cords of death surrounded me. The floods of ungodliness made me afraid.
5The cords of Sheol were around me. The snares of death came on me.
6In my distress I called on the LORD, and cried to my God. He heard my voice out of his temple. My cry before him came into his ears.
7Then the earth shook and trembled. The foundations also of the mountains quaked and were shaken, because he was angry.
8Smoke went out of his nostrils. Consuming fire came out of his mouth. Coals were kindled by it.
9He bowed the heavens also, and came down. Thick darkness was under his feet.
10He rode on a cherub, and flew. Yes, he soared on the wings of the wind.
11He made darkness his hiding place, his pavilion around him, darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies.
12At the brightness before him his thick clouds passed, hailstones and coals of fire.
13The LORD also thundered in the sky. The Most High uttered his voice: hailstones and coals of fire.

29For by you, I advance through a troop. By my God, I leap over a wall.
30As for God, his way is perfect. The LORD’s word is tried. He is a shield to all those who take refuge in him.
31For who is God, except the LORD? Who is a rock, besides our God,
32the God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect?
33He makes my feet like deer’s feet, and sets me on my high places.
34He teaches my hands to war, so that my arms bend a bow of bronze.
35You have also given me the shield of your salvation. Your right hand sustains me. Your gentleness has made me great.
36You have enlarged my steps under me, My feet have not slipped.
37I will pursue my enemies, and overtake them. I won’t turn away until they are consumed.
38I will strike them through, so that they will not be able to rise. They shall fall under my feet.
39For you have armed me with strength to the battle. You have subdued under me those who rose up against me.
40You have also made my enemies turn their backs to me, that I might cut off those who hate me.
41They cried, but there was no one to save; even to the LORD, but he didn’t answer them.
42Then I beat them small as the dust before the wind. I cast them out as the mire of the streets.
43You have delivered me from the strivings of the people. You have made me the head of the nations. A people whom I have not known shall serve me.
44As soon as they hear of me they shall obey me. The foreigners shall submit themselves to me.
45The foreigners shall fade away, and shall come trembling out of their strongholds.
46The LORD lives! Blessed be my rock. Exalted be the God of my salvation,
47even the God who executes vengeance for me, and subdues peoples under me.
48He rescues me from my enemies. Yes, you lift me up above those who rise up against me. You deliver me from the violent man.
49Therefore I will give thanks to you, LORD, among the nations, and will sing praises to your name.
50He gives great deliverance to his king, and shows loving kindness to his anointed, to David and to his offspring, forever more.
