Si occultò nelle tenebre, nel padiglione, che d'ogni parte il copriva (che è) la nera acqua delle nubi dell'aria.

Nuestros pasos nos han cercado ahora: puestos tienen sus ojos para echarnos por tierra.

They have now compassed us in our steps: they have set their eyes bowing down to the earth;

They have now surrounded us in our steps. They set their eyes to cast us down to the earth.
