Orazione di Davidde. Esaudisci, o Signore, la mia giustizia, da udienza alle mie preghiere. Porgi le orecchie alla orazione, che io fo con labbra non fraudolente.

Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.
Preserve me, God, for I take refuge in you.
Dalla tua faccia venga la mia giustificazione: gli occhi tuoi rivolgano verso dell'equità.
Dijiste, oh alma mía, á Jehová: Tú eres el Señor: mi bien á ti no aprovecha;
O my soul, thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee;
My soul, you have said to the LORD, “You are my Lord. Apart from you I have no good thing.”
Hai fatto saggio del mio cuore, e nella notte lo hai visitato: col fuoco hai fatto prova di me, e non si è trovata in me iniquità.
Sino á los santos que están en la tierra, y á los íntegros: toda mi afición en ellos.
But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.

Affinchè la mia bocca non parli secondo il fare degli uomini: per riguardo alle parole delle tue labbra io ho battuto vie faticose.
Multiplicaránse los dolores de aquellos que sirven diligentes á otro dios: no ofreceré yo sus libaciones de sangre, ni en mis labios tomaré sus nombres.

Reggi tu fortemente i miei passi ne' tuoi sentieri, affinchè i piedi miei non vacillino.
Jehová es la porción de mi parte y de mi copa; tú sustentarás mi suerte.
The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.
The LORD assigned my portion and my cup. You made my lot secure.
Io alzai, o Dio, le mie grida, perché tu mi esaudisti: porgi a me la tua orecchia, e ascolta le mie parole.
Las cuerdas me cayeron en lugares deleitosos, y es hermosa la heredad que me ha tocado.
The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.
The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places. Yes, I have a good inheritance.
Fa bella mostra di tue misericordie, o Salvator di coloro, che sperano in te.
Bendeciré á Jehová que me aconseja: aun en las noches me enseñan mis riñones.
I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
I will bless the LORD, who has given me counsel. Yes, my heart instructs me in the night seasons.
Da color, che resistono alla tua destra tienimi difeso come la pupilla dell'occhio. Cuoprimi all'ombra delle ali tue:
A Jehová he puesto siempre delante de mí: porque está á mi diestra no seré conmovido.
I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

Dalla faccia degli empj, che mi hanno afflitto. I miei nemici han circondata l'anima mia:
Alegróse por tanto mi corazón, y se gozó mi gloria: también mi carne reposará segura.
Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.
Therefore my heart is glad, and my tongue rejoices. My body shall also dwell in safety.
Hanno chiuse le loro viscere; la loro bocca ha parlato con arroganza.
Porque no dejarás mi alma en el sepulcro; ni permitirás que tu santo vea corrupción.
For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
For you will not leave my soul in Sheol, neither will you allow your holy one to see corruption.
Dopo di avermi rigettato adesso mi han circondato: si studiano di tener gli occhi loro rivolti alla terra.
Me mostrarás la senda de la vida: hartura de alegrías hay con tu rostro; deleites en tu diestra para siempre.
Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
You will show me the path of life. In your presence is fullness of joy. In your right hand there are pleasures forever more.
Stanno intenti a me come un lione inteso alla preda, e come un lioncino, che sta in aguato in luoghi nascosti.

Levati su, o Signore, previenlo, gettalo a terra; libera colla tua spada l'anima mia dall'empio,

Da' nemici della tua mano. Separagli, o Signore, nella lor vita da que', che sono in piccol numero sulla terra: il loro ventre è ripieno de' beni tuoi. Hanno numerosa figliuolanza, e lasciano i loro avanzi ai lor bambini.

Ma io mi presenterò al tuo cospetto con la giustizia: sarò satollato all'apparire della tua gloria. Rende grazie al Signore, il quale da gravissimi, e tremendi pericoli lo ha liberato, e gli ha dato il regno per se, e per la sua stirpe. In molte cose si ravvisa qui il Cristo.
