1(Lobt den HERRN!) Lobe den HERRN, meine Seele!
2Loben will ich den HERRN mein Leben lang, will Psalmen singen meinem Gott, solange ich bin.
3Vertraut nicht auf Fürsten, auf einen Menschensohn, bei dem keine Rettung ist!
4Sein Geist geht aus, er kehrt wieder zu seiner Erde: An demselben Tag gehen seine Pläne zugrunde.
5Glückselig der, dessen Hilfe der Gott Jakobs, dessen Hoffnung auf den HERRN, seinen Gott, ist!
6Der Himmel und Erde gemacht hat, das Meer und alles, was in ihnen ist; der Wahrheit hält auf ewig;
7der Recht schafft den Bedrückten, der Brot gibt den Hungrigen. Der HERR löst die Gebundenen.
8Der HERR öffnet die Augen der Blinden, der HERR richtet auf die Niedergebeugten, der HERR liebt die Gerechten;
9der HERR bewahrt die Fremden, die Waise und die Witwe hält er aufrecht; aber er krümmt den Weg der Gottlosen.
10Der HERR wird regieren in Ewigkeit, dein Gott, Zion, von Geschlecht zu Geschlecht. Lobt den HERRN!

1Aleluya. ALABA, oh alma mía, á Jehová.
2Alabaré á Jehová en mi vida: cantaré salmos á mi Dios mientras viviere.
3No confiéis en los príncipes, ni en hijo de hombre, porque no hay en él salud.
4Saldrá su espíritu, tornaráse en su tierra: en aquel día perecerán sus pensamientos.
5Bienaventurado aquel en cuya ayuda es el Dios de Jacob, cuya esperanza es en Jehová su Dios:
6El cual hizo los cielos y la tierra, la mar, y todo lo que en ellos hay; que guarda verdad para siempre;
7Que hace derecho á los agraviados; que da pan á los hambrientos: Jehová suelta á los aprisionados;
8Jehová abre los ojos á los ciegos; Jehová levanta á los caídos; Jehová ama á los justos.
9Jehová guarda á los extranjeros; al huérfano y á la viuda levanta; y el camino de los impíos trastorna.
10Reinará Jehová para siempre; tu Dios, oh Sión, por generación y generación. Aleluya.

2While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being.
3Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.
4His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.
5Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God:
6Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth truth for ever:
7Which executeth judgment for the oppressed: which giveth food to the hungry. The LORD looseth the prisoners:
8The LORD openeth the eyes of the blind: the LORD raiseth them that are bowed down: the LORD loveth the righteous:
9The LORD preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.
