Masquil de David: Oración que hizo cuando estaba en la cueva. CON mi voz clamaré á Jehová, con mi voz pediré á Jehová misericordia.
I cried unto the LORD with my voice; with my voice unto the LORD did I make my supplication.
I cry with my voice to the LORD. With my voice, I ask the LORD for mercy.
E non entrare in giudizio col tuo servo: dappoiché nissun vivente sarà riconosciuto per giusto al tuo cospetto.
Delante de él derramaré mi querella; delante de él denunciaré mi angustia.
I poured out my complaint before him; I shewed before him my trouble.

Perché il nimico ha perseguitato l'anima mia: ha umiliata la mia vita fino alla terra.
Cuando mi espíritu se angustiaba dentro de mí, tú conociste mi senda. En el camino en que andaba, me escondieron lazo.
When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path. In the way wherein I walked have they privily laid a snare for me.

Mi ha confinato in luoghi tenebrosi, come i morti di gran tempo; ed è in volto nell'affanno il mio spirito: il mio cuore si è conturbato dentro di me.
Miraba á la mano derecha, y observaba; mas no había quien me conociese; no tuve refugio, no había quien volviese por mi vida.
I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul.
Look on my right, and see; for there is no one who is concerned for me. Refuge has fled from me. No one cares for my soul.
Mi son ricordato de' giorni antichi: ho meditate tutte le opere tue: meditava le cose fatte dalle tue mani.
Clamé á ti, oh Jehová, dije: Tú eres mi esperanza, y mi porción en la tierra de los vivientes.
I cried unto thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living.

Escucha mi clamor, que estoy muy afligido; líbrame de los que me persiguen, porque son más fuertes que yo.
Attend unto my cry; for I am brought very low: deliver me from my persecutors; for they are stronger than I.
Listen to my cry, for I am in desperate need. Deliver me from my persecutors, for they are too strong for me.
Esaudiscimi prontamente, o Signore: è venuto meno il mio spirito. Non rivolger la tua faccia da me: perché sarei simile a que', che scendono nella fossa.
Saca mi alma de la cárcel para que alabe tu nombre: Me rodearán los justos, porque tú me serás propicio.
Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me.
Bring my soul out of prison, that I may give thanks to your name. The righteous will surround me, for you will be good to me.
Fa ch'io senta al mattino la tua misericordia, perché in te ho sperato. Fammi conoscer la via, che ho da battere, perché a te ho elevata l'anima mia.

E dispergerai tutti coloro, che affliggono l'anima mia, perché tuo servo son io. Rende a Dio grazie delle vittorie riportate contro i nemici, e lo prega della continuazione del suo celeste aiuto.
