En los álamos de allí, nosotros colgamos nuestras arpas.
Sobre los sauces en medio de ella colgamos nuestras arpas.
We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof.

Allí nuestros captores solicitaron canciones de nosotros, y aquellos que se burlaron de nosotros nos pidieron estar felices, diciendo: "Cántenos uno de las canciones de Sion."
Y los que allí nos habían llevado cautivos nos pedían que cantásemos, y los que nos habían desolado nos pedían alegría, diciendo:
For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion.
For there, those who led us captive asked us for songs. Those who tormented us demanded songs of joy: “Sing us one of the songs of Zion!”

Si yo ignoro tu memoria, Jerusalén, deja que mi mano derecha olvide su habilidad.
Si me olvidare de ti, oh Jerusalem, mi diestra sea olvidada.
If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning.
If I forget you, Jerusalem, let my right hand forget its skill.
Deja que mi lengua se adhiera al paladar de mi boca si ya no pienso más en ti, si yo no prefiero a Jerusalén, más que a mis más grandes deleites.
Mi lengua se pegue á mi paladar, si de ti no me acordare; si no ensalzare á Jerusalem como preferente asunto de mi alegría.
If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy.

Hija de Babilonia, pronta a ser destruida, que la persona sea bendecida, quien sea que les pague por lo que ustedes nos han hecho a nosotros.
Hija de Babilonia destruída, bienaventurado el que te diere el pago de lo que tú nos hiciste.
O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; happy shall he be, that rewardeth thee as thou hast served us.
Daughter of Babylon, doomed to destruction, he will be happy who repays you, as you have done to us.
Que la persona sea bendecida, quien sea que tome y estrelle a tus pequeños contra una roca.
Bienaventurado el que tomará y estrellará tus niños contra las piedras.
Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.
Happy shall he be, who takes and dashes your little ones against the rock.
