1O Yahweh, my heart, is not haughty, nor are mine eyes, lofty, neither have I moved among great matters, or among affairs too wonderful for me.

2Surely I have soothed and silenced my soul,—like a weaned child, concerning his mother, like a weaned child, concerning myself—mine own soul.

3Wait, O Israel, for Yahweh, from this time forth, even to times age-abiding.

1LORD, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me.

2Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child.

3Let Israel hope in the LORD from henceforth and for ever.
