Vergeblich steht ihr mit der Morgenröte aufund legt euch spät am Abend nieder,der Fronarbeiter Brot verzehrend!Zur Schlafenszeit gibt er das Rechte seinem Liebling.

Por demás os es el madrugar á levantaros, el veniros tarde á reposar, el comer pan de dolores: pues que á su amado dará Dios el sueño.

It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.
