"si no hubiera sido el SEÑOR quien estaba de nuestro lado cuando los hombres se levantaron en contra nuestra,
A no haber estado Jehová por nosotros, cuando se levantaron contra nosotros los hombres,

entonces ellos nos hubieran tragado vivos cuando su ira se encendió contra nosotros.
Vivos nos habrían entonces tragado, cuando se encendió su furor en nosotros.
Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us:

Las aguas nos hubieran arrastrado lejos; el torrente nos hubiera abrumado.
Entonces nos habrían inundado las aguas; sobre nuestra alma hubiera pasado el torrente:

Entonces las aguas furiosas nos hubieran ahogado."
Hubieran entonces pasado sobre nuestra alma las aguas soberbias.

Bendito sea el SEÑOR, que no ha permitido que seamos desgarrados con sus dientes.

Hemos escapdo como aves de las trampas de los cazadores; la trampa se ha roto, y hemos escapado.
